Metal is my favorite, but I appreciate so many different styles of music, including pop, indie, R&B, rock, etc These guys somehow throw all of them together seamlessly and everything is amazing. The production, synths, guitar, drums, bass, vocals, everything I love the creativity and talent. I've never heard anyone like them

Yeah dude, these guys grew on me. And I think their album is a masterpiece and a breath of fresh air.

It’s quite amazing to witness everyone singing along at a live performance. They always create an amazing atmosphere and people just get so absorbed into it. Vessels voice is just incredible. 🙂. Have to admit I’m slightly jealous that the entire album has been heard! I can’t wait for it to be released!

Huge TOOL fan here. I love the Alex Grey painting in the background. I recently discovered "Sleep Token." They remind me a bit of Deftones and some other progressive metal bands. Very interesting.

Chokehold is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. What a masterpiece

Very very good reaction and synopsis. They completely grew on me as well and for the first time in a long while I am excited about a band.

I had already kind of liked them, but wasn’t too bothered about them, until 2021 when they brought out This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and honestly, since then, i have been obsessed. I have listened to them every second or third day since then. 2 years non stop. Literally just today at work. I listen to them so much, my workmates are at this stage, quite annoyed with them. And me. Got the chance to finally see them 2 months ago in glasgow (scotland). Perhaps the best best band I’ve ever heard in my 43 on this planet! Worship!

Sleep token - Bloodsport (from the room below) is beautiful, strongly recommend it

Sterling, ever since Metallica released their last album "72 Seasons", I can't stop listening and wondering how you can sing those songs, trying to play James' voice... SO it would be my real pleasure to see and hear you do it. ! I'm trying to sing those songs too and it's hard haha thanks for your videos! They really help to understand how to sing correctly.

So I am 60 and I am a big fan of this band. I love the new album except for one song and that’s that really Poppy one with all the letters.

Hi Sterling! Sorry for an unrelated question but how do you make mixed voice loud and powerful? In your videos you say that when you first began discovering your mix it was kinda weak and quiet. I have the same issue more or less. So how did you figure out how to make it loud and big? Thank you

Mixed voice is never quite as loud as regular voice as it’s a version of compression. Volume really ends up coming from the diaphragm at the end of the day but your muscles have to get acclimated to making the sounds well before you can push into the sound. Make sense? It takes some time and can get confusing. Keep working with it. If you found mix, that’s awesome! Keep going! 😊😊

What do you think about this: my fiance always says it's not bad to combine different elements per say, but it's cheap when it's like part A, part B, part C, not creativelly integrated. I think he's got a point, even though I don't mind it. Same thing with some Spiritbox songs.

I think it boils down to feeling and taste. If something feels contrived or forced I don’t tend to like it or I can tell. But truthfully, as we all get older, if you like something, just enjoy it haha. There’s so much bullshit and people complaining about everything; just enjoy what you enjoy and move on from what ya don’t. 😊

Gotta say I respect the artist but it’s just not my jam lol.

I love Leprous and how insane Einar is, but can't stand Sleep Token, they sound like a generic RNB singer with some metal stuff. A couple songs are INCREIBLE tho... too bad about the other 40 songs.

Not a fan.

Reminds me of all the « Nu Metal » bands of the 00s… Puddle of Mudd P.O.D. All those bands Was good 20 years ago
