Cookies ingredients:
00:00 Healthy nut cookies
- dried apricots - 60 g / 2.1 oz
- pecan - 60 g / 2.1 ounces
- peanuts - 100 g / 3.5 oz
- almonds - 30 g / 1 ounce
- pumpkin seeds - 20 g / 0.7 oz
- sunflower seeds - 20 g / 0.7 oz
- flax seeds - 1 tbsp.
- sesame - 1 tbsp.
- a pinch of salt (optional)
- white of one egg
- honey - 1-2 tbsp.
- zest of one orange
05:15 Oatmeal cookies with nuts
- oat flakes - 90 g / 3 ounces
- 1 egg
- mixture of nuts and seeds - 100 g
- coconut oil - 30 ml
- sweeten at your choice. You can add a spoonful of honey or 2 tablespoons of maple syrup

Honey is pure fructose which is sugar. The title should say “ I don’t eat refined or processed sugars.” Other than the honey the sugar in dried fruit is more intense but at least the fibre helps.

honey is sugar.... it contains the same as cane, palm, or any other sugar (glucose and sacharose). If you don't eat sugar, you shouldn't eat honey either

I’ve found that one combo of foods that pack on the pounds the most is a dry fruit and nut combo - high sugar and high fat… yes dry fruit is a better sugar than table sugar but it’s a concentrated sugar…. FYI! Trail mixes and dry fruit nut combos are out for me!

Right! I watched and was like "sugar, fat, fat, fat, and fat."😂. Nuts are stored fats for plant growth. Fruits (normally) are full of sugar to stimulate propagation. Then honey?😅 Stored sugars for animals that have metabolisms that require pure sugar to survive. At least it's gluten free? 😅
honey is sugar.... it contains the same as cane, palm, or any other sugar (glucose and sacharose). If you don't eat sugar, you shouldn't eat honey either or drink milk (lactose, a sugar too)
To veganize, does anyone know what could be used in place of egg white to hold together? Maybe a flaxseed egg? I would use bit of maple syrup for the honey substitute.

Please do not compare added sugar to natural sugar. Of course you will have to find natural dried apricots ( not easy sometimes) but yes there is some,natural,sugar but no added sugar.

@@Kate-qq3ezthere is no such thing as "natural" sugar. Wer are talking about the same molecules. And the problem with dried apricots is: they are dried. You can eat about five times as much dried apricots than fresh ones because most of the water had been removed. But this also means, you eat about 5 times as much sugar with the same meal. About 40-50% of the dried apricots are sugar. So it is almost like drinking a cup of coffee where half of the cup is filled with sugar.
Thanks for sharing but honey consists mainly of invert sugar & water...

@@SubundGesund Hey! I just went to check again and I did watch the no-bake cashewcake, I even gave a like. I know it's hard to please an audience that seems to want something very specific from you but it's also boring as a subscriber to get basically the same video in your notifications over and over. I also do KZread (not on this account) and I found that sometimes switching color schemes can really help draw in new susbscribers and make old ones more interested. You have a lot of yellow, red and orange tones in your thumbnail. Maybe you can do something with blue accents (edible flowers, butterfly pea flower, blueberries) or green (green apple, kiwi, lime)? You could try a waffle dish or pancakes, or some kind of coffee jelly for summer. Earl grey is also very popular right now. I'm just giving some random ideas. I think people enjoy all kinds of recipes, not just the simple ones. You struck gold with those cookies once, I know you'll come up with something new that's just as popular

you DO eat sugar! 60g dried apricots contain 32.06g of sugar and honey is the same as sugar per tablespoon. Okay, you can argue that these sugars are natural rather than refined, but it's still sugar as far as your body is concerned in terms of insulin response.

The body responds very differently to processed refined white sugar than natural fruits, honey etc. which do contain other vitamins etc. AND not every person’s body responds the same. Duh!

I do feel that it would be more accurate to say 'I don't eat refined sugar'. The recipe sounds delicious; I just feel the statement 'I don't eat sugar' is inaccurate. Have a nice day!

The high glycemic index causes insulin production. Read up about insulin resistance. All carbs are broken down into its sugar components, causing an increase in insulin. I’m afraid this is a fact.
