Organizing can be so meditative.

The Notes app packing list with check-offs is brilliant! I never knew this feature was available. I will be using it from now on. I don't organize well, so every little bit helps.

How do you go about checking gear when flying? Have you ever had anything lost

I check gear regularly! I have never lost anything fortunately. Hard cases are essential, and I always aim to pack CRITICAL or non purchasable equipment in my carry on luggage. But for bigger jobs, checking is never really something I stress over. A big helpful thing to keep in mind is to aim to travel with major airlines and maintain status, as this can be good safeguard for avoiding issues with checked luggage. Delta has always been incredibly helpful with any issues I’ve had. I did have a gear cart I checked get put on the wrong flight, and 1 day later it was delivered to my hotel directly and I was given a $150 credit for the inconvenience.
