The “excited” counter was delightful. The mirror looks great (the dings are barely noticeable and give it a “lived in” vibe). I can’t believe the difference adding legs to the chair made! The door looks so good- like it has window panes to a beautiful landscape. This is a great series.

Love the mirror. I do think - remembering the rule of threes - intentionally putting another chip in one of the sides of the mirror would add a lot of character to the mirror. I was so hoping you were going to put the wallpaper on the door, and you didn't disappoint. I would call your room the Narnia room. You step into another world every time you walk in to read in your cozy chair.

Those final shots with the mirror and the door’s back panels look SO cute and whimsical

The chair definitely has a retro vibe, which is perfect for the room. Wallpapering the door panels, so smart & pretty.

The chair is perfect, and that corner is comfy cute 😍. I am 71, and I say it IS a granny chair. Best of a classic!

Thank you for always being transparent about when DIYs sometimes don’t go the way we originally planned. DIYing is messy but also such a cool creative process! I love the door art and how everything turned out 🖤

I love the chair! If you recover the buttons on the back cushion on the chair in the same redish colour as the details on the headboard I think it would look amazing and tie the two pieces together. You don't even have to take the buttons off. You can just make a little fabric circle with a thread running around the edge so you can pull the fabric tight around the button shower cap style.

The little divots in the mirror are like the purposeful "mistakes" in Navajo rugs, put in either for a path for the spirits to be able to leave or to show that the weaver does not think they're god. The mirror looks wonderful! And the mural on the door was inspired. It looks like you could just open the door and be in that other world. You did such a great job with this room (the chair was greatly improved with the new legs and looks extremely comfy. If I lived in Toronto, I'd weave or knit you a throw for it). p.s. maybe find a vintage needle-pointed hassock/footrest to make that chair even more comfortable.

Honestly love the chair, the curved arms reflect the mirror perfectly (and the curved sides on the headboard)

I'm a firm believer that each space should have something of the unexpected and something of whimsey. If that can be combined into one item, so much the better!!!

I think your " mistake" with the corners on the mirror works perfectly with the waves. A lot of my classmates had a similar looking mirror in their homes with the same kind of corners. Armchair is a perfect fit in the room.

Is it just me or do I love that the knots blew out on the mirror? Gives it more personality.

The room looks sooo much better since you switched to bright colours and it still feels cozy !!! Connecting wardrobe and door with the same mural is brilliant - even if I prefer the 'pure' wardrobe (she's so pretty). Having a mirror opposite the window brightens up the room enormously...good idea. Well, the chair looks comfortable and the light colour minimizes it's volume, but I'm not a fan. Also the mirror-shape is not my cup-of-tea but your crafting was excellent. 😀

Door mural is brilliant, speaking to the wardrobe/large framed mural across the room, and sitting in that comfy chair to read, you can enjoy both! and the wavy mirror will kick light back into the room from the chair - lighter, brighter, fun, warm whimsical.. win win win!

I just want to comment on your DIY growth 😊 I loved hearing your response to the mirror mistake. I know it must be frustrating to go out into the unknown each time you do a project & essentially try to make a perfect prototype each time. Perfection rarely happens the first time around, a great thing for us to all remember. I’m loving all these mural panels btw, happy Saturday Dani!

The chair is definitely retro. The new legs really elevated the design. I feel the nicks in the mirror helps make it look a bit older and lived with to vibe with the rest of the room.

I did the same to a five panel door years ago, and I loved it. I recently did another in my house where the panels were focal point because they're just black, surrounded by graphic black/white. I love that fun hint that's always a surprise. 💕🦇

You can wood port the gouges and use a Mohawk blending stick to match the color. I love the mirror!

This was a fun video. I laughed out loud several times. I felt your pain in dealing with the math and the curves. As a quilter I've had to do that many times in the borders of rectangular quilts. I have to brag though, that I thought of the pocket thingys. I had reservations about the chair at first. But it grew on me. That water was really black. I too like to curl up my legs in a chair and read. Good job, Danie! And can I say “I'm excited!”

I love the chair and it does look retro, maybe 1970’s. As a guest bedroom might I suggest adding some hooks for people to hang cloths on and a bench to put a suitcase on. Perhaps under the window. Just a thought. I wasn’t a huge fan of the dark room before. The light walls and wood furniture make the room bright yet warm.

Seeing the original idea for the mirror really turned me off for this room. However the finished mirror is perfect! Just a nice little curvy edge that breaks the monotony of sharp edges. This room is very simplistic yet classic. Plus with the neutral colours on the wall & trim you can change it with bedding & throws if you get bored.
