The bouncy perk increases life time of projectiles. Long distance cast is an invisible, fast projectile with the drilling shot modifier. Which means you can add damage to it 😈. It is slightly affected by gravity. And that explains the way you teleport. A life time increased long distance cast goes through walls for a bit then attempt to cast small teleport bolt, then fail if it's in a thick wall or succeed otherwise. I've played 2500 hours and I've never seen that effect. Amazing!

Fungal cave (to the left on second level) is a must go for every run, have a lot of good wands and potions
