Yeah the Freddy vs Jason vs The Army of Darkness mini series comic was fun to read

I definitely agree with the outcome because while Michael is a person with higher durability than natural (and a curse during some timelines) Jason is canonically an undead creature. He dies in friday the 13th 4 and comes back in 6 as a walking corpse with super strength and possibly teleportation (5 was a different killer which didn’t do so well so they went back to Jason)

Agreed. That's kinda the problem with anyone vs Jason or other killers like him. They just literally unkillable. It doesn't matter what happen, they have to survive and win. You could Atomize Jason, wipe him from existence itself, and SOMEHOW he will still kill you. Cause that's how the writers wrote him. They wanted a killer where people can fight back and hurt, but still have the killer kill them in the end. Freddy, funny enough, is the only one that makes logical sense. Since he is part of a dream and thus can't really die. He exists, as long as there are people who knows he exists. The only way to kill him, is to kill everyone who knows he exists and then yourself, as you also know he exists. And being part of a dream, he can take any form, regenerate, and so on. He is supernatural, but in a more believable way with a believable way to beat him usually. Jason, he just can't be beaten. Ever. Period. He always survives, he always wins. Period.

@@Bepo_is_the_goat_of_goats Technically, yes. He is immortal, and goku isn't. They never show it, but Goku and all the heroes and villains are actually vulnerable to normal every day stuff. Stabbings, shooting, broken necks, and so on. It's just that their body are so tough thanks to their magical Kai, the stuff doesn't go through normally. But 100% Jason would win, stabbing Goku and killing him. And he can't kill the immortal Jason.

To clarify, yes Michael is in Dead By Daylight, along with a lot of other horror icons, but unfortunately Jason isn't one of them. Or at least not yet. Jason did have his own game, but updates for it ceased after the Friday the 13th series was put on ice for a few years due to a legal battle over the rights that I think cleared up recently. Though I only say "I think" because a prequel T.V. series has recently been announced.

Michael can definitely teleport. In the first Halloween film where his sister, Laurie, is in her bedroom during broad daylight, she spots Michael staring at her through her backyard. The camera shift to her staring back and then cut back to the backyard with him suddenly gone. I remember seeing that for the first time and saying, "You were looking right at him, how'd he get away from you!?"

Like Jason for example, the only movie he readily teleports in is movie eight (which is arguably one of the worst of the franchise), specifically highlighted by one scene where he's chasing a woman through the bar on the cruise ship, she sees him ahead of her, turns to run the other way, and suddenly he's on that side of the room. The other movies are very inconsistent, as sometimes it is indicated he has to take at least a sort of sneaky path, and other times he turns up in bizarrely convenient places, but no real evidence that he is teleporting. So I'm going to go on the stance of: "It depends on how much of a hack the writer is."

Not sure about Jason’s movies but Michael gets rebooted *a lot.* There are several timelines. In fact Michael was originally supposed to be in only two movies. The third one had a witch as the villain but people wanted more Michael.

Jason's series has only been properly rebooted once (I think), but some of the lore gets weird and feels like it doesn't match. Like Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X in particular have a really odd relationship with the rest of the franchise. Jason Goes to Hell introduces the idea that Jason is some kind of worm that's almost like a Deadite that can possess and control people (the literal Necronomicon from Evil Dead appears and is suggested to be what Jason's mom used to bring him back), but the Jason parasite can only take it's true form as Jason if it possess a member of the Voorhees family. And Jason X happens in the future, where Jason has been frozen for hundreds of years only to be reawakened on a spaceship and going on a killing spree before he free falls from orbit at the end of the movie, which he presumably survives and start a new killing spree on the new planet he's on, which seemed to have bee colonized by humans (all we see if this planet is that it resembles woodlands on Earth, but Earth is stated to be uninhabited or nearly uninhabitable near the start of the movie). These two aren't reboots as far as I know, they just feel weird because they occurred after the rights to Jason changed hands, which is why they're called Jason movies instead of Friday the 13th, because they couldn't legally use the original name of the series.

Michael was only meant to get one movie really. John Carpenter wanted the Halloween series to be an anthology, which is why Halloween III had nothing to do with Myers, he ended up wanting to disown the Laurie is Myers sister thing as it just took away from how ominous Myers was by giving him reason (which is why the revival trilogy ignores it).

0:01 As someone who doesn't watch horror movies often, I think this is more understandable than never watching Nightmare Before Christmas.

The thing you have to understand about both Michael and Jason's film series is that they're not exactly CONSISTENT. John Carpenter, the director of the first Halloween, wanted the film series to basically become an anthology with different stories for each film. Michael was just meant to be the first story, hence his name of "The Shape", he's not only a shape in the darkness, he's the shape evil is taking. Unfortunately, the film executives seized on Michael being an established character and basically forced the whole film series to be about him. When things would dead end in a bomb, they'd just reboot the series. Hence there are now literally FOUR Halloween timelines, where it goes "In this one, Halloween 1978, Halloween II, and Halloween 4-5-6 happened, oops reboot, okay in this NEW film the timeline is "Halloween 1978 and II happened but none of the other films did, so here's technically the third film, then a fourth, oh, the fourth bombed. REBOOT ENTIRELY! Let's get Rob Zombie to remake the original film. Okay it did decently, he can do a sequel-it was too divisive, end the reboot! Oh hey, John Carpenter's been convinced to come back. START A NEW TIMELINE! NO FILM EXCEPT THE 1978 film happened! Oh hey, this new Halloween 2018 did well, let's do two sequels!" And they'll probably reboot the franchise in the future and add a fifth timeline. So they're basically picking aspects of Michael from all these films, not to mention comic appearances. Hence the whys and hows are completely snarled, and it's basically suggested that there isn't supposed to be a REASON behind Michael in a 'if you combine an acid and a base, there's a reaction' way. He just IS. Jason's timeline is less muddied, but since his films were basically all quickies done on the cheap, the storyline beats between the films are basic at best. The second, third, and fourth films, which actually had him debut as the killer, basically take place over a week at most, yet Jason's face is different in every film. He more or less changes clothes between films 6, 7, and 8 despite the endings of 6 and 7 leaving him sealed in a lake. And it's never explained how a deformed boy who might have been mentally deficient survived drowning, and then decided to not reveal he didn't die and go live in the woods until he grew up into a huge hulking beast (both of which fly in the face of all logical sense) (the 'Jason jumps out of the water and grabs the girl is explicitly a nightmare 'last jump scare'). As a result, various side materials like comics and video games have tried to explain it (He did drown, but the lake is cursed and the evil there revived him, and keeps reviving him/His mother got ahold of the Book of the Dead from the Evil Dead series and used it to revive Jason as a 'deadite') and his abilities (in his Mortal Kombat X appearance and his Friday the 13th game, Jason explicitly has the power to basically turn into mist and teleport around). But again, nothing in the official source has ever come out and said outright how various stuff happened or why, hence leaving fans to piece together theories. However, in the film, Jason HAS been explicitly said to have impossible regeneration abilities, and the comics cranked them up to ludicrous levels. Even in side materials, Michael was always more of a 'tank': he'd ignore being hit and often keep going on, but he still basically suffered the damage, it just wouldn't stop him the way it would stop a normal person. But eventually, even Michael hits a limit that Jason doesn't have. If you decapitated Jason and then splatted his head, somehow, he'd return. While Michael may have more or less fully created the slasher film concept, drawing together aspects from earlier films like Psycho and Italian giallo crime thrillers, Jason codified all its concepts into the slasher story 'bible'. It only fits that the second man behind the mask outclassed the first in such a contest like this. In other terms though, Michael is FAR worse. Jason in 90 percent of his material, if left to his own devices, is generally a dangerous territorial animal: stay off his turf (Camp Crystal Lake) and you'll be fine, and it's suggested that he's basically a young boy trying to please his mother chained to SOMETHING else that makes that happen in the worst, most brutal ways. Michael might hang around Haddonfield, but he can and will move around, and will kill anyone he encounters, just because, as the video said, he wants to kill. Basically, Jason's killing, in his mind, is a means to an end. To Michael, brutal ugly death to anyone and everyone he means is the sole end in and of itself.

If you want to know more about both characters, I recommend the Friday the 13th and Halloween series Kill Counts made by Dead Meat

They make this fight seem a lot closer than it would actually be. The only thing stopping Jason from easily beating Michael is the latter’s durability. Also while I liked a lot of the ideas they implemented in this Death Battle, the animation looks way too weird for me.

Fun fact: This matchup was a Community Death Battle years ago, and it was so one-sided that the only people who vouched for Michael were someone who admitted to playing devil's advocate and someone who, as a joke, composited all of _Mike_ Myers' characters together. Also, side note, my response was one of the ones chosen to represent Jason, and I'm still proud about that. The episode was called "A Look Into Thor vs Wonder Woman" for anyone who wanted to check that out. My response was shown at the one and a half minute mark.

The winners (in case you didn’t see) were for the 2D bracket, Bill Cipher VS. Discord and the 3D Bracket was Alex Mercer VS. Cole McGrath. While I don’t love the 2D fight I still think it was a good idea and would be at least interesting, and once again, not my favorite fight in 3D but I 100% think it deserves to happen.

Deadites are the demonic creatures from the evil dead series of movies, which have the character ash who jason and freddy fought against, the necronomicon ex mortis from those movies was also in the 9th friday the 13th movie

Okay. So i'm like in reverse. I know little about Prime Sauron but I know a LOT about the Lich King. My Verdict all comes down to if it is a 1v1 or if they are allowed their armies. If it is 1v1 Sauron most likely has it over the Lich King. But if we are counting the fact that their armies are very much big parts of their lore. I give it to the Lich King. Even assuming Sauron has the Baelrog, it wouldn't stand up against the scourge's full might.

Sauron should win if they scale him to the potential power of an unrestricted Mayar. All the Wizards and Sauron were nerfed on Arda otherwise they would have set the world on fire with their full power. Arthas is powerful. Frostmourne has some decent magical hax and can steal the soul of it’s victims which is an angle they might explore but Sauron should be stronger if at full power.

Michael Meyers appears as a licensed killer in Dead By Daylight. Friday the 13th has it's own video game adaptation, which is the one where you can fix the car to escape among other survivor (or camper in that game) win conditions. As far as the movies go, I would definitely recommend watching at least the first two of each franchise. I would say that most of both of them are worth watching. Halloween franchise is strange because of the convoluted timelines. It's currently at 5, by my count, if you include the Rob Zombie remakes.

Unfortunately Michael just couldn't catch a break this Halloween, first his latest movie released and was let's just say less than stellar and then he got matched up against Jason. In all honesty their physical feats are actually relatively on par with one another but the fact remains that Michael doesn't really have a way of actually putting Jason down for good, in Jason X the government literally captured him and tried everything they could think of to kill him for years and he just wouldn't die so they decided to just freeze him so that at least they could keep him locked away. And while they didn't really factor it in during the analysis Uber Jason actually turns this into an outright curb stomp, Jason gets infused with nanobots literally making him a god damn cyborg dramatically increasing his strength and durability, so on top of the fact that you can't kill him he's now also bulletproof.

hey Kyle, just to let you know how tough Jason is, when Michael Myers gets kicked in the balls, Myers goes down. when Jason gets kicked in the balls by Freddy Kreuger, it hurt Freddy Kreuger. also, the game that you're thinking of is Friday the 13th, and you're sort of correct with the game. the goal is, as the survivors, to gather the car key, and fix the car and get out of dodge, the goal as Jason, is to basically kill everybody.

a deadite is the zombie like beings in the Evil Dead franchise. There was Freddy vs Jason vs Ash (the protagonist of evil dead not the pokemon character) comic which is where the possibility came from

The Lich King is a character from Worlld of Warcraft i don't play WoW so i don't know much about him

@@Lorekeeper72 ah yes the novel "hell lake" it also says jason made ALOT Of serial killer friends in hell too that are always willing to help him out (he brought SOOOOO many serial killers back to life with him. (In the book its directly said it's enough to be described as an army)

As a fan of both series, yes, Jason would have won this easily. And I'm saying this as someone who likes both Michael and the Halloween franchise more than Jason and the Friday The 13th franchise.

There's an actual Friday the 13th video game. Up to 8 people can play in the same game, and 7 of them will be survivors trying to escape from Jason and not....well, *die *, while the 8th gets to be Jason himself. The job of Jason's player is to kill as many of the survivors as possible before they can escape, while the survivors have to try and escape by any means necessary. It *is* technically possible to "kill" Jason in the game, but it is *VERY* hard to pull off, since Jason is controlled by another person rather than by an AI, so if the Jason player figures out that the survivors are trying to kill him, he will know what to watch out for, and even attempting to actually kill Jason is very likely to result in at least one, if not more, survivors ending up dead regardless of whether the attempt succeeds or fails. The game also has Jason's theme start playing for the survivors whenever Jason is nearby (and it gets louder the closer he gets), provided Jason is not using his "Stalk" ability that stops that music from playing.

I should clarify, even though this will all be explained soon, to avoid confusion The Lich King has always been a big bad, but the mantle was later taken on by a former protagonist who continued in the ways of evil

So there is a Friday the 13th video game where u r either Jason or a camper which is where the style for the Death Battle came from and Dead By Daylight is also a game where u have to go find generators and escape both Michael and Jason r apart of the game but not their official names

Dude I know that Halloween has already passed but do yourself a favor and catch up on the slasher classics. Except I guess not being a fan of that genre, but still...

If you're unaware, Dead by Daylight is a game where you can play as a killer or survivor as a 1v4 endurance match and Michael Myers is a playable killer. It wasn't mentioned despite likely being canon due to how he doesn't fight supernatural foes. Only real "threat" in terms of strong survivors is Ash, from the Evil Dead movies. Yes, Ash has fought both Jason and Michael, so it evens out.

A deadite is a possessed being from the Evil Dead franchise just to let you know since you didn't know

Good luck with the Pokémon stream and the next Gen for you. At least it is something you know that I've never done, since I never played Pokémon past Gen 1 with Fire Red for the Gameboy Color.

I like Michael Myers a lot, but there was just no way he was ever going to beat Jason in any scenario. Jason is a supernatural zombie that can always come back, Michael Myers is basically a human l tank possessed by the forces of evil. He still basically a human with human weaknesses

"Generic intro and the duck goes myeer!" I'm sorry but I started hearing it a few months ago and now I can't unhear it

DevilArtemis animated this battle & while it is one of his rougher works, I can still say a good chunk of this is fun to watch. My favorite moment is the killing blow, where Jason cuts Michael’s head off, & smashes the head onto a tombstone; I can totally see Jason doing that in the movies. Overall; I give episode a 7/10, while there are problems with the battle, there’s still enough good that keeps on with Season 9’s streak of quality.

So I've been seeing quite a bit of hate for this episode. I can't say I agree, I definitely think it's quite flawed, but I really enjoyed it. 8/10 episode imo.

It's mostly in regards to how much of a letdown the battle was. We didn't even get a minute of the two fighting, and over 2 thirds of the battle was spent focusing on a teen running away from the slashers.

@@bloodwolfgaming9269 By that logic, most Death Battles should end in less than a minute due to the fact one fighter is stronger than the other. We want to be entertained, and this battle just did the bare minimum. There are Death Battle fanon versions of this matchup that were much more creative and satisfying than this battle.

the game they referenced and used as inspiration for the animation is the Friday the 13th game which has been approved by the creators of franchise and stuff so its canon, really fun game too!

If there's any doubt to the the mortality difference, the franchise lore for Jason has stated he can only be permanently killed by another Voorhees, while Myers is just supernaturally tough. Also, there's now the movie Halloween Ends, which is allegedly going to be the finally Halloween franchise movie and SPOILER ALERT: . . . . . . . . . . . Over the last couple of movies, Laurie speculates that Haddonfield may spawn more evil like Myers and in Halloween Ends there is even a character who is trying to become a second killer, even working with Myers. In the end though, Laurie kills the copycat and then she and her granddaughter overpower and kill the real Myers. Then, just to be 100% certain he's dead, his body is dragged through town to the junkyard and is fed through a scrap metal shredder in front of a crowd of people to publicly prove that he is finally dead.

Duck: Possible Deadite, what's that? Me: Another reference you do not get, but still I recommend watching the Evil dead trilogy, it stars the chainsaw dude that murdered pikachu back in the last nostalgia critic video.

This is one sided no matter how you slice it. A human vs a spirit.
