Isn’t dangerous to eat after 5 days since you can get re-feeding syndrome after not eating for a bit?

  • @yeoyooyoo3326

@@speedyplayer1217 I think that tends to happen with extended fasts and ones which you only consume water. It's better to break on fruit and broth (but he's been consuming that already) or foods with high water content first and then solids build up. But that depends on the fast, prep before and their usual eating habits. Obviously if he had an eating disorder like binge eating or history of fad diets it can result in this syndrome. Sorry for too much text. Ok bye 👋

@@NomadWalker-io3ne Where did you get that nonsense from? Bone broth is one of the best things anyone can eat. * It's an excellent source of collagen,a fundamental building block to build structure and repair tissues everywhere. Which is needed everywhere. everywhere from the eyes, the gut lining, joints and even the uterus! In addition, bone broth contains glucosamine and chondroitin which are natural compounds found in cartilage and essential for joint and connective tissue health. * Bone broth has naturally anti-inflammatory actions thanks to special amino acids like glutamine which can help repair the tight junctions in the gut lining, a condition known as ‘leaky gut’. It is also a source of proline and glycine, two other amino acids only found in small amounts in meat. These help provide the building blocks for the rapid growth of cells in the gut lining, and reduce inflammation. You can also drink bone broth for gut health as it contains hyaluronic acid, which helps to give tissues moisture and keeps them lubricated. * Bone broth contains sodium, calcium, magnesium, potassium, phosphate and chloride. These micronutrients power the energy batteries of each cell in your body, needed for the mitochondria, and without them no cell-to-cell electrical conduction would take place. *Because it helps repair your gut it also repairs and boosts your immune system because it highers your amino acids and glutamine levels. And no, it doesn't have to be farm sourced. Both broth is extremely healthy to consume regardless. Everything you said was utter nonsense. People have been drinking soup with bone broth when they get sick for thousands of years. It's because it works and is extremely good for your body.

The reason you feel sharper and more focused after a few days of not eating is because your body is going into survival mode and is alert for any way you can get some food. Once you pass that stage without eating you become very weak and fuzzy headed as your body relies on inefficient respiratory pathways instead of glucose. If you want to feel sharper and more focused without stressing your body out or veering around disordered eating you could try lots of other things (and a blood test if you're tired long term!). This is something I studies in psychology and unfortunately experienced first hand when a virus made me lose a quarter of my weight in a month... The shift from super alert, to obsessed with food, to completely out of it, struggling to hold a conversation. Be careful guys! If you want to feel awake just splash your face with cold water and put some music on! Reflect for some time every morning and evening and you will experience more clarity. It doesn't have to be so extreme, but then who would watch a video that was so day-to-day?

This isn't entirely accurate. A lot of that fatigue is from not getting enough electrolytes and such. If you're supplementing electrolytes and minerals, you can fast for quite some time. It's very healing and has so many benefits to just be disregarded so easily. Important to look at more data and research before making such blanket statements.

The first few days of fasting you are more focused and feel more alert but the uncomfortable feeling of your stomach being empty always thinking about food and near you always wanting to eat and feeling mentally exhausted and physically you start feeling like your body is shutting down and have rapid mood swings, having severe stomach pains. Ik alof of ppl fast for their health and for religion and it’s not a bad or unhealthy thing but you need to know what you are doing and talking to an doctor and having a healthy relationship with food you do not need to lose weight just by fasting I fucked my body up so much bc of it

@@bethanysurrender3439 , according to some holistic doctors, when you go on fasting atleast 5 days , your body will start to consume all those EXTRA fat deposits, and minerals in your joints. Could be true because I can move like I am in my teenage years though I'm already 45.

Autophagy has been shown to be achieved using Calorie Restriction AND fasting. Neither has been found to be MORE effective than the other. You can’t stop eating for a couple days if you want OR you can just lower calories and achieve this same result in more of a sustainable, long-term way. It’s up to you

I do a 2 day fast once every week, usually Wednesday & Thursday. Helps keep energy up, stay trim and light in the gut. You'd be surprised how much you crap out in the 2nd half of the 2nd day. I have Crohn's though so this might be a bit extreme for the average person. Maybe 2 days once a month? If you get a stomach bug, fasting is a great way to "nip it in the bud", fnar fnar. Also a great way to reset gut bacteria, though that needs 3 days and only water.

I could never fast this long. If I go more than 20 hours I start gagging and dry heaving lol. I went a week without eating a few months ago cause I got an infection and I guess my body decided to completely take away my hunger/ability to eat while trying to deal with it. Was so weird to have no appetite for so long and when I did try to eat I felt grossed out after 1 bite.

If you are fat you can fast on and off for a while and work out (you will notice an aggressive drop off for about the first month but keep it up brother) after a while your muscle will marble and be able to use fat for energy rather than muscle and you will start to feel stronger after fasting for a few days. Adrenaline is one hell of a drug.

Since most people grow up with animal products being their base line, this kind of marketing is incredibly accesible for eveyone looking to explore a plant based life style!

Ive done a 5 day fast where I only drank water. It was hard but I was proud when I completed it. If you do this, then eat easily digestable food after your fast is over. Move onto heavier foods gradually. If you immediately start eating a normal diet after a lengthy fast, you can seriously upset your stomach.
