We do not recommend that you try this without properly information yourself first and informing the people around you that you are doing this... But Matt decided to challenge his mental and physical endurance by fasting for 5 days straight. After reading about the benefits of fasting, he wanted to try it and see how he'd do. Here's what happened.

Not trying to diminish what you are doing in any way shape or form but it doesn’t sound healthy to do fasting for that amount of time if its for weight loss. I would advice you to seek out a dietitian that can help you or at least offer some advice. Intermitten fasting and starving ar similar but not the same. I would like to add that i am happy for you that you have almost reached your goal weight. A hell of a thing losing weight, be proud of the journey!

I was Keto for about 3 months then did a 30 day water fast. Yes, 30 days! I drank 1 gallon a water a day and only water. I went from 249 pounds to 208 pounds (lost 41LBS). It can be done, the more fat you have the longer you can go. Once I got past day 4 it was easy. I broke the fast with bone broth. Then more broth and lean protein. Just keep yourself busy and if you have cravings drink water!

It’s actually kinda scary, because I feel really great. Haha Day 1 and 2 were the hardest. Only because I get hunger headaches and then my body temperature got really hot on day 2. But after a quick google search of what that meant I kept going. By day 3, all of those symptoms were gone. it’s honestly been a great experience, I feel so in tune with myself.

I didn’t get hungry once, i had moments of missing the act of eating but definitely non hunger. I think I’ll do this every 3 months. Another thing worth noting is I am diabetic and my blood sugar stayed between 85 and 140 the whole time, More towards the 100 mark tho. Without meds. I feel good and feel like I can easily do another 5 days right now but I’m not! I’m literally counting the hrs, mins, and seconds! Almost time to eat!

Its really not all that satisfying as most might think... It's like how you cant starve yourself before an eating competition cause it actually wont make you eat more food. Not eating or "fasting" will cause your stomach to start shrinking, to a certain extent. So after long periods of not eating, its not as if you will be able to just sit down and consume a big ass meal... in fact, its quite the opposite, after fasting for days straight, you'll only be able to consume small portions of food at a time until your stomach gets used to eating larger quantities of food as your stomach starts to expand back to its original size.

I did 10 days only water. Stayed away of cigarettes, sugar, fats, coffee, beer and everything. The first 4 days where like hell but on day 5 I started to realize how amazing a human body can compensate everything. Just reading books, drinking water and sleep whenever my body needs it. People thought I am 18 years old when I met them after my fastening but no I am in my mid 30s. Skin clear, no problems with irritations anymore, crystal clear mind and no need for domesticated drugs. It changed my perspective and I love it. Doing it once a year just to feel the same amazement and to see the benefits again.

Dont gotta be a teen to be in deppression. First time i ever experinced true depression was a year and a half ago. My gf of 8 years broke up with me. We have two kids together. Im 26 years old right now and the day she broke up with me i never new what deppression felt like. To this day i still miss her. And only get to see my kids every other weekend. We have a 7 year old and a 2 year old. Life is tough and i dived into drinking everyday. I mean it got bad i would wake up and the first thing i would do before anything is take a shot. I would go through a half bottle of vodka every day.

I've done a 3 day water fast a couple of weeks ago. It was a lot harder than i thought it would be. The first day was easy. When the hunger feeling came, after some time it went away and i could easily enjoy my day. The second day was much harder. When the hunger feeling came, it stayed for hours. The third day was the worst. I constantly had a hunger feeling that just didn't go away. I drank so much water in the hope it would fill up that empty void in my stomach. Didn't really help, but i continued drinking water all the time anyway... Which by the way is good, because it cleanses the body. But the worst of the third day is that it started to affect me mentally as well. I had no motivation for anything. It was really hard to feel joy about anything. After three days not eating, food tastes sooo good!! This video makes me want to try a 5 day fast too. I want to see if i get past that hunger feeling after the third day as well. By the way, fasting for a few days is a great way to start eating better. You will want to treat your body better. There's a clarity with which you can clearly see what things are good for you and what things are really not good for you. It's like starting with a clean slate. I've been living much healthier since, food-wise, but i also train every single day now. I just want to take care of my health now, because i experience how good and powerful it makes me feel. Also, my mental state is now way better: More happiness, more motivation. I highly recommend fasting for a couple of days, even though it will probably be really unpleasant at times.

@@nunya8211 yes, the nausea, I think it's mostly due my pain meds having hacked at my stomach has ulcerated it, now the fasting is changing the stomach' surface which leads to the vomiting. Something else, I'm glad to be using a pseudonym as to broach the next bit is bleh. Not eating leads to not defecating. My stomach was so large, now shrunk by a lot I presume, changes the way it all works. I get constipation due my meds, & this not eating much on top of that makes for a blocked-up system that might back up. I think that is a cause of much nausea. As after a motion I feel less nausea. I've gone a week without passing anything, then the proverbial hits the fan after a biggish meal, usually chicken, a chicken curry from a notorious curry joint.

Since you are hungry you will be able to think about different food combinations (which makes me think that chefs should do fasting when they need to innovate new dishes). I lost about 8lbs. I want to do again soon.
