So interesting! Thanks for taking the time to research all of this. I'm not very interested in fashion, I dress the same all the time but this year I really wanted to shift my look and finding the pieces I wanted was so hard. What I discovered is that on IG you get ads that show one piece and so you click on it and see the website. Immediately you realize that it's a Dropship shop built with Shopify (which allows dropshiping plugins from hundreds of Chinese manufacturers) so you get out of there.. but you have been targeted and retargeted and so it's not only one shop that sells that dropshipped item.. they have opened literally dozens of stores with different names but selling exactly the same mass-produced drop shipped product and so you can't get rid of that one piece that you were curious about. It follows you everywhere. So beware of clicking on unknown companies. Same thing with Etsy, you see these shops with beautiful clothes (that have been copied from different brands and designers) they claim to be a small hand-made shop but the pieces come from China. I don't trust that they are hand-made by a small team. So basically I use my clothes until they look embarrassing, then I might buy exactly the same thing.

"End to end" means from the raw material, to the final disposition of the textile. There are brands like "Retold" which sort your used textiles into categories such as -thrift, donate, upcycle, even the things that are too damaged to upcycle can be recycled. I believe they shred them and use them for wall insulation. Nothing goes to the landfill.
