I DID IT! Subwoofer box beauty panel - CarAudioFabrication Project Stealth

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

When building a custom car audio install nothing gives the install more visual appeal than creating custom beauty panels. The beauty panel can sit over a subwoofer box, amplifiers, or other car audio equipment. Making a beauty panel is also handy for door panels, speaker pods, anywhere in the custom vehicle interior. In this latest update to #cafprojectstealth I make a beauty panel to interface between the subwoofer enclosure and the false floor for the vehicle.

Heay, I have been watching your videos for a few months now. I have to say thank you! When I was 16 trying to do my best with random junkyard speakers and 2 50 watt pyramid amps from a thrift shop, all put into a 77 caprice classic. It was fun and well it sounded good to me. Now after purchasing a "decent" set of equipment at the age of 30 I found myself back in love with car audio. Without videos like yours I'd still be in the dark about how to mount my subs how to tune my amp/amps. Also its videos like yours that when I smell ozone and a burnt voice coil from the back of my car help me to not feel discouraged but to learn move forward and build things louder, stronger, and cleaner. So uh yeah thank you!

Love your videos. You do a very nice job of explaining and also your shooting skills of closeups are on par. Makes me miss my years in the car audio business. I was a sales manager, but also dabbled in building my own custom A/V builds for 3 separate cars. It's amazing what good tools (like all those templates you use) allow for someone to accomplish. It's really not too difficult, given you have the right tools for the job.

I really love this build Mark, like all of your builds. Still trying to figure out what to do box wise for my P3 15" for the best SQ. Lighting up the wide edge is simplistic looking. What do you think of painting it whatever color you had in mind and leave a pinstripe of clear in the middle of the edge for a very fine laser beam/halo effect of light to emit.

If installing 2 d class amps one mono and the other for speakers, in a concealed box in the trunk would you need to add some fans to produce some air moovement around them?

Hey mate Im very interested in starting to fab up my own audio fab and wood working and thinking of getting a router etc. How did you get so confident with it? Just practice? How did you start out ? As in how long did it take you to get effective with it? How steep is the learning curve stuff like that. What are some of the mistakes you first made? What do beginners usually make mistakes on? What is the hardest thing to do with router? What is the easiest? How much room will I need to be able to use a mounted router effectively for car audio fab? Cheers mate. Love the channel

Hai Mark, It's a great video and very informative. Can you also make a video about best equalizer setting on head units for good sound quality (maybe like a studio) will be also a good thing and information. I'm also looking for that. My head unit is pioneer and the speakers are from morel, also I'm using an infinity subwoofer, one infinity amp for sub and one kicker amp for speakers. All me speakers are morel component speakers which sound's good. So if you can do a video about head unit setting for good sound quality or if possible can you send me details about that will be a great helpful thing. Thank you Sherin.

Hey Mark! I think you should Edge light the acrylic butttttt I really think you should maybe consider doing a hole video on different type of lighting capabilities people can utilize with acrylics and how certain things make the light defuse differently with different type of surface textures and what not. If you paint the surface of acrylic then you can utilize a lit almost 3D three-dimensional looking picture with the light (laser etch the painted side of the acrylic with whatever artwork you would like more detailed the better) then edge-lit that piece and if you use the opposite piece you laser-cut on as the exterior side the person's I would view from it looks like a 3D image inside a piece of acrylic. Not not many people are utilizing this advancement in car audio fabrication yet. But it is something that definitely should be utilized because the quality of lighted 3D picture that it produces is absolutely amazing and it will make any car audio build look flawless.

Would like to either make a box for a 10" sub that fits in the quarter panel pocket of the trunk, or one for a 12" sub that fits snug and nice in the bottom of the trunk, and is flush with the bottom of the quarter panel pockets.

I think you should light it up; it’s the trunk after all (not exactly the brightest spot to begin with) Also; I think it would be nice if you used the trunk pin wire to activate a relay so that it turns on every time you open the trunk. Red, yellow or white 🤔 ... maybe an LED strip that has all of the colors to mix through (at least that way you aren’t stuck if it doesn’t turn out exactly like you think it might: Plus we can get a little competition going... 1. Take pics of the 3 color choices 2. Post em 3. We vote 4. It’s your ride so ultimately your choice

I have a few Mercedes Benz's my favorite one is my oldest one, it's a 2000 CL500 (love that shape) so the problem is that there's no reasonable way to replace the head unit with a aftermarket unit. I literally thought of pulling the entire center console, laser scanning it then modifying it to hold a double din radio and having it 3D printed...gasp... about $1000 to replace a head unit in a 18 year old car is unacceptable lol.. any ideas?
