🎉excellent. That is where I’m headed. Couple questions… Do you have any fats like avo or nuts? Beans? Do you sweeten your oatmeal at all? I have healing digestion issues and don’t do any fats except for what is naturally in oats. I’m concerned I won’t get full.

@@CalmVibesVee Oatmeal sweetened with maple syrup from my own trees or unsweetened apple sauce from my own trees. No fats. Potatoes or rice topped with any veggies and homemade salsa (tomatoes, onions, peppers, cilantro) or a little salt and a squirt of catsup. Sometimes cold with nothing. I drink a lot of water from my well, spiked with unfiltered apple cider vinegar I make and lemon juice with a bit of diatomaceous earth and probiotics. Fill a pot with water. Dump in rice or potatoes and veggies. Scoop into bowl, dump on salsa. Or pour in oats, scoop into bowl and sweeten. Pour a cup of water. Fast, fast, filling, filling, cheap, cheap and no big plans "What should I make now?" I'm a weight lifter, construction worker and farmer so you know I need a lot of energy. Zero physical issues due to diet. I'm 63 and my annual physicals always gets the comment "You look like a 25 year old physically." Colon examines always come out very pink and clean and flawless. Zero bathroom issues. I have no worries about from time to time hitting a salad bar or eating over friends house. Fast food on VERY rare occasions make me stink when I sweat and gives me gas otherwise I almost never really need deodorant. Oh, sometimes I make a big kettle of bean soup, eat a few bowls and baggie freeze the rest for when I feel like some. In the winter during big snows I'll have a cup of hot cocoa.

I haven’t tried Mary’s mini but I’m doing the 50/50 plate. I stalled out on losing weight so I cut back on fruit to one serving per day which got me back to shedding around two pounds per week (which I’m happy with). I love fruit but it has a lot of calories compared to vegetables and starches.

I must confess, I have never made it past day two on Mary's mini. You have inspired me to try again. At 63, it is nearly impossible to shed a single pound plus, I have a nasty habit of trying every single new vegan fake food product on the market to prove to my meat eating friends how easy it is to go plant-based. Pffffffffffffft duh. Love your channel. Thank you!

I watched your video on the word of wisdom and enjoyed it, and just stumbled across your second channel. I don’t plan on being vegan ever but to eat vegan a few days of the week with eggs and fish most other days and meat sparingly. A question, how does the Mcdougal diet compare to the daily dozen from Dr Greger? Greger says to eat legumes 3 times a day (protein), mcdougal doesn’t seem to be big on legumes, he says no more than a cup. Would the Mcdougal diet be too low on protein? Especially when restricting calories? People say as long as you eat enough calories, you’ll get enough protein from plants, but what if you’re lowering your calories? Legumes become very important in a diet extremely low in animal foods.

Me too!! The goal is to stick with the same starch so it becomes monotonous, from having the same things over and over again. The reason the McDougalls say that is because we tend to over eat when there is a variety. Having said all that though! I do know people who will eat different kinds of potatoes to keep things interesting and have some variety! So really, it's up to you!

Too much variation (with condiments and green smoothie). Purpose is to not just change taste buds away from concentrated sugar and salt in SAD diet, but to have such an ultra bland diet that you get to the point where you only eat when you are hungry, rather than bored. This is a 10 day challenge. Emphasis on the word challenge.

It’s not the original Mary’s minis diet and yes the original was much stricter with no fruit. But people started complaining about no fruit allowed so they relented and said that fruit could be added to the diet. The carnivore is the best one to do to get rid of so many health conditions.
