Looks exactly like the $1-$3 game in my Canadian poker room except for the fact that it doesn't run every day, and very limited hours. Sucks to be me... If you have the means: you should give the $2-$3 game @ the Lucky Lady in Gardena a shot. Free food & non-alcoholic beverages & the rake is lower, plus a 100k Bad Beat jackpot, $2 per hour comps which can be used if you need to sit at the $1-$2 tables while you wait for a seat at the upper level games, or you can use the comps to buy merchandise at the gift shop. Just a suggestion.

Sounds like an awesome room with those perks. Would love to visit there when I get the chance. Comps and perks in US poker rooms are crazy good compared to Canada (if we get anything at all).

Always tough to get involved in disagreements. Someone always gets even more upset.

That dealer "J" is always making mistakes by not paying attention, however that doesn't give player, let's call him "A", the right to be a prick as he often is. lol

PS: Please trust your gut and consider the board texture when committing your entire stack on the flop. It's often going to be the difference between a winning or break even session and the road to Stuckville. No one can see your cards, "in game" other than you... 😉 Save your stack for good spots. This is just advice from an old reg who is a "TAG" but not an "OMC". You lost a lot of money in spots you could have just mucked your QQ, but at least you gained some knowledge and experience in those unfortunate spots.

Yea I didn't play particularly well this session. Thanks for the suggestions. Could always use more discipline. For both of the pocket queens hands though, I think I was happy to commit with those board textures. The first hand (3-way all in), I was a favorite and didn't hold. Unfortunate =(. The second hand (vs. pocket aces), I think my main mistake was calling the 4-bet preflop. Should have folded but tilt got the better of me. After playing preflop badly though, couldn't really ask for a better flop to commit with (except flopping a queen of course). As you said, as long as I'm always learning =)

Yea in hindsight if I knew he would check back a straight, I would value bet for sure. I didn't put him on an ace and only put him on either bluffing or strong value hands (straight, full house). Didn't expect the check. Got owned.
