Just finished the grind and researched the Tier X yesterday. The two worse things about this tank: 1) accuracy is terrible, the shell often nose-dives before it gets to the target... or just disappears entirely as the bloom immediately expands to fill the entire screen for no apparent reason. 2) The need to enter siege mode to elevate or depress the gun prevents you from flanking at close range (teammates never seem to understand this). One of the more frustrating tanks I've played. On the flip side... several games where I've blocked 2k damage. If you are directly facing an enemy and are using the terrain well, you are a beast (until they load HE).

@@marktester5799 Uh, you're not supposed to shoot unless you are in siegemode, when you switch, accuracy and aimtime improves drastically. In travelmode the handling is extremely awful, which BTW is nowhere near reality as the realworld Strv was surprisingly decent at shooting while driving. The really awesome part about the Strvs however, is when you mount binocular and camonet. As long as you don't move forward or backward, they remain active, and you can then have camovalue in the low 60s combined with excellent spotrange. Stay behind a double bush and you can shoot until people get quite close without getting spotted, or hide just forward enough to spot for yourself and snipe at max distance. I've actually found that the tier X is harder to do well with than the Strv103-0, so you should definitely try it out better and see which you prefer. The tier X has lovely mobility, while the tier IX tends to get more easier pens. Then of course, you need to learn how to exploit it's high reverse speed. Used well, it can be an absolutely glorious advantage. Can sometimes be used for very tricky stuff. Like driving up behind a heavy on the side his turret isn't aimed towards, go siege, fire, drive forward to kite his turret, when you're in front of him, break and reverse back again until you have a perfect rearshot position at him, siege and fire. At best, this can be repeated until target is destroyed. Unlikely, but i have done it a few times. And it usually works nicely at least once as long as there are no other enemies nearby. And the universal use of the reverse speed is to get into cover and unseen while enemy is chasing, which thanks to the speed often allows you to do things like set up an instant ambush position because almost noone actually adapts to the speed you can reverse with, no matter how much they may expect it in theory. I just wish the S1 wasn't so sluggish even with grousers added compared to especially the 103B.

My first 20 games with the 103B were something insane. I had like 71% wr and 4k damageand up to this day I'm still around 68% and 3900 average with more than 700 games on it. It's an incredible DPM monster and extremely accurate. Just let the enemies come to you or let spotters do their job and in 1-2 minutes you can pretty much do 5k damage easily. In Malonovhka this td is absolutely disgusting, specially if your team is losing the hill and the enemies are pushing with 2-3 extra tanks, you can literally annihilate tanks in seconds. I focus a lot more in eliminating weak tanks than full HP tanks and it's surprising how quick this td changes the tide fo the battle. The 103-O is a weird tank. I'd say is the worse of the three last tds. Udes is a ninja and the B version is just perfect in what's needed but the O version is in the no man's land. I feel it's the upgraded version of the S1 but nothing else, just half a second better reload and pretty much that's it along with 10 extra mm of armor. 0.3 accuracy for a td is not that great compared to other tanks like its bigger brother, the Grille or surprisingly the Obj 268.

i just reactivated my strv103-0... why? because of the matchmaking. don't get me wrong, the strv103B is a monster with crazy rpm/dpm, but in tier X matchmaking i feel like i get overmatched a lot. i do have some crazy games in it tho. anyway, the strv103-0 has the benefit of meeting tier 7 and 8, and boy you are a bouncing castle then.

I honestly like having this tank in the game. The heat shield if you look at the STRV history is an enigma all of itself. They didn’t let the world know about it for some time and they only deployed it during moments of national crisis. It truly makes sense why it is where it is in the tech tree from a historical standpoint.

I’ve been binging this channel for the past week or so and might I say I love his content 🔥👍

The fact I'm just 20k exp off of getting this tank and hearing the tier 8 and 10 were better for their tier doesn't not fill me with confidence xD

I had a good memory in this tank Getting DC'd and reconnecting just to see my S tank (this tier 9) bouncing all the shots (luckily it was in a hull down position) funny part was my tank was taking all the hits while my surviving teammates were picking off the enemy tanks shooting at me lol

You are lucky. I ran out of ammo in WoTB, and I kept tanking but my teammates ran instead of shootings the enemies.

I actually had that exact situation happen with an AMX 13 57 in my UDES! As long as you're careful with the angling you can indeed bounce the shots, but if the tank raises itself up to depress the gun more, you lose the overmatch protection and he'll pen anyway. In my case, I was out of seige mode so I could keep up with his mobility and was able to kill him and defend my cap circle, surviving against 2 full clips from him in the process. As long as I kept my front towards him he couldn't pen it, even with his APCR spam. It didn't really matter in the end, the team had crumbled by that point and the IS-3 that was coming up to help the 13 57 ended up killing me, but it was still a neat little incident

I've been selling off old grinds for years and did a bit of cleaning over the weekend plus it frees up equipment and credits.

Wargaming should not nerf this turbo in siege mode, they should nerf 50% of the Russian tanks first!!! x)

I only play WoT in the Christmas season event but I watch QB all year long!

7:30 back in the day when the windstorm was a thing i defended our northen spawn with the s1 and basically farmed like 4 tanks full hp who were all coming from city, it was delicious.

Ahh... time to relax and watch QB playing since I cannot play because tons of projects :D

I was asking myself last night if there was any new QB videos, but I guess I was just TOO EARLY and decided to sleep lol.

at 1:49 he means 120mm and 150mm guns from 40 to 50 respectively honestly if they reworked the overmatch mechanics on the test server back then wot would have been crazy now

I didn't realise the 103 0 had worse accuracy than the udes ans 103b. But in the udes I felt like I had to camp bush, but with the right matchup in the 103-0 I have actually annihilated flanks because of its dpm and bounce mechanics. It works really well at medium to long range fire exchanges vs medium tanks.

Yeah I agree. I didn't really this tank as much as I did with the Udes 03 and of course the tier X Strv-103b.

DUUUUUUDEEE you made my addiction to the Strv S1 escalating with this Turbo equipment tip.

I’ve sold mine because I’ve moved the crew to the tier X and I didn’t have the patience to grind a new crew in order to the tier IX to be effective in battle. But I’ve enjoyed playing with it.

I got tier 8 prem, tier 9 and tier 10 STRV tanks and no regrets. Love those things!!!

QB, good luck with the heat shield on the tier 10 Swedish tank destroyer if the HE changes (currently tested on the sandbox server) go through and will go live. It’s like heat shields are non-existing. Kind of weird why WG was selling premium tanks back in the days were HE screens or shields were the main selling feature and now they might become obsolete.

Can we get another look at you using the Obj. 705A?

The Swedish S-tank had fantastic armour and shown in live fire tests but WoT goes an sticks an overmatch mechanic in the game that benefits Russian tank guns the exact guns the S-tank and it's prototypes could defend against in testing.

In reality the S-tank have an autoloader and can pump out those shots faster then in game.

Thanks qp,just got my udes 03 and not having a good time with it. Totally stock, and hard to play it (I have both the other Swedish t 10s so I kinda know what I'm doing) putting a turbo on really helped with the atrocious mobility I seige mode, and it has made it just a little less horrendous to play

Stick with it, once upgraded the 03 is great. But stock it is horrendous!

QB: If you are using premium consumable and not fire extinguisher and your fuel tanks gets damaged, always repair it as soon as possible Then QB: 12:05 : *Ignores* his damaged fuel tanks and keep going on without repairing lol

The Swedes (Saab) didn't invent but greatly developed turbochargers, so I think it's kinda appropriate that they get the most benefit from it xD

Im gonna go this line next ,tier X is crazy ,pimped out 5.25 reload 390 alpha with laser precise gun ,490 view range and kickass 50% cammo.Vents ,rammer ,optics no silly turbos ,wing diffusers or spoilers.

I just know this tank have to aim even in siege mode, different from Strv S1

tier 9 tanks are often better then tier 10 tanks even when they are "diet" versions, the simple fact that you meet tier 7 tanks just boosts their tier for tier value.

grinding through this tank right now, can't wait to get rid of it, UDES is so much better for everything that matters, which is just weird

well it IS the prototype of the tier 10 so that makes a lot of sense. but yeah i agree.

I'm looking at Kharkov not even a full year after it was removed and it seems like half a century has passed.

In replacement for the accuracy u do kinda get a taste of the DPM of the teir 10

I got a UDES 03, and this vid is making me very worried.

I actually bounce quite a lot of shots in my STRV S1. If I get into a good position in a tier 8 game I can bounce my entire HP pool worth of dmg.

Agreed. I would prefer the tier 8 udes than the tier 9. 103 0 feels like a step down from udes aside from the armor and HP

I actually liked the 103, it was the first tank in the entire line with some armor. Bullied so many Chieftards in that tank, it was great. Dpm is good, pen is best in class, speed is good, camo who cares, you can play with the meds, but if you need to snipe its also great. The only thing that drags the tank down is the .3 accuracy imo and if you have big balls and you brawl, the traverse speed is also quite shit. Sold it after I played 5 or 6 games in the 103B, the t10 is just a monster, it can carry its own weight and the team on top of that (won a 1v4 in 7v7 on stepps 20m from the cap in i think less than a minute while being on 800 hp against a full HP IS-7, a v4 on 1.8k, a 1 shot 140 and a 277 on 5-600. My proudest game yet)

I just really love this Swedish TD, it's just different, I could never forget how many games I played and get High Caliber by just track locking and dealing damage. And also pulling a reverse gear get away

Well, there are many tech trees where the tier9 is just better. Not in stats but because of the mm.

Yes, one of the few T9 tanks I sold after unlocking T10

I often bounce a UDES with my 122mm gun, I'm not sure WG is clear with these stats really...

2:35 yea there is 1 it’s the tier 2 the pvlvv fm 35 or 37 I think it is

I'm gonna try grinding for this line but I'm thinking instead of using the turbo I'll use the binocular telescope and camo net but use the accuracy device to make sure your a true sniper and never miss your targets cause I don't think I really want to use turbo on these tanks. Does that sound like a good setup?

i love it too, playing tier 9 is more fun then playing t10... also, i feel you can bounce a lot more ap from t8's. the strv103B is crazy, but i'm too much of a noob for t10

That STRV 103-0 is one of my favorite tanks and makes the game somewhat more enjoyable for me. If ya wanna play a tier 9 tank, this one crewed out, is awesome.

QB, please try out the KnPz 105 with turbo. I am having a blast in that thank now even though ppl say it is mediocre. I would always choose it before the S1 for example.

But tier 9 is usually more fun because +1 mm is my favourite mm

Tbh most tier 9s feel like diet tier 10s. The Type 4, Strv 103-0, E-50, Leo PTA, WZ-132A just to name a few

Hi QB if you find time, a vid on what Tier 8 and Tier 9 tanks are worth keeping would be very helpfull as I have unlock several Tier 9 and 10 tanks but as a medium play I do not have enough credits to buy any of them, so selling tanks not worth keeping would help me progress.

Me, just about to get the second gun on t8 and hating the tank so far compared to the premium... now I hear the t9 is mid too

in what slot do you put the turbo? slot 1 so you can keep bino and camo at expense of reload?

I actually loved the tier 9 Swedish TD more then the tier 10 I think it was the top plate worked way better at tier 9. Camping in the tier 9 and 10 is pretty lame when they can play aggressively.

I received a free rental on a tier 8 STRV and 3 other tanks for my birthday. But, I've yet to play the STRV because I prefer tanks with turrets and I'm not sure how that "siege mode" operates. Do you move the entire tank to aim and does it have to be in siege mode to shoot? How do you even engage the siege mode?

Stvr 103b is one of the hardest tqnks to 3 mark. Its so dependable on the map you get

Strv 103 0 have 0.10 dispersion on tank traverse when Strv 103B and Strv s1 have 0.01

I completely agree, the 103-0 id such an underwhelming tank to the udes and 103-b(Havent used this yet though) and cos im still on console(with its dumbed down changes) leaves so much less opportunity for the tank Yeah so much time on console...now the limited mad rotation is so sucky, changed equipment to a point theres no binocs for longer spots on snipers....grrrr

I can't decide if I would rather get the Kranvagn or the STRV 103b. I know they are very different, but I feel that both are good hull-down, fairly mobile, relatively armored tanks. Decisions, decisions.

Hey Quicky, if Wargaming sent out a mass notification telling Players they're gonna reset the game and you could only keep 5 tanks (doesn't have to be 1 per class unless you want it to be) for some hypothetical reason, what would be your choices and why?

For me, Tiger 1, Liberte, Badger, Lynx8x8, KV-1 or 2 as it's my kill record game.

I sold it straight away, that horrible i thought it was.

Kind of like the T 9 430. It really needs to be a “U”.

I love the tank, but hate the accuracy, I was wondering why it felt worse, and I love attacking with this tank rather then just camping all the time and being able to fight tier 7s make it even better. I'm looking forward to the tier 10 now if it really is that much better

Don't have the t10 yet. I agree the T9 is disappointing after the t8. Yes having good armor is nice, but it steers badly and accuracy of the gun is a BIG issue, especially if you don't run food. Just forget about hitting weak spots at long range unless you're playing with food.

I don't know why but I enjoyed Strv 103-0 more than UDES 03, I get better matchmaking all the time, you're able to bounce shots, accuracy isn't that big of a deal for me, 0,3 is still good in my opinion, I like the tank and I won't sell it but thanks for the video QuickyBaby

because in tier 6 95% of tanks have no armor and you can hit anywhere where as at tier 9+ most tanks have only few or 1 weakspot and they are small
