It's a multimillion subs channel, so they better get proper feedback. I also found him very monotonous and above all extremely negative. I get it.. the phone sucks.. but please don't repeat it over and over again because that's getting annoying

I would love for the labs team to test the colour accuracy and brightness of phone displays in the future.

Agreed. I had to step away for a moment and I suddenly heard music. I thought a video or something had somehow opened up in the background. Came back and realized it was just the background music.

Love the updates! The new set looks great! The flatness of the background helps simplify the video. As well I love the new split view when it shows up to see top down and front view at the same time! Good work!

It’s all because of speakers being only on one side, they warped space time fabric a little bit more on one side, that transported Jake forward in time a bit, and also misplaced him

the music that started playing at 10:55 was waaay too loud. it was really hard to focus on whats being said from the host. imagine watching a video in a different language than your own and then having to focus harder because of the music background. its a hard time...

This is crazy! I thought my rugged phone would be still heavier than this, but no! It "only" weights 270 grams, while made of metal and having 5200mah. This one is not a rugged phone, and it manages to be heavier

I know specs aren't as important as they used to be, but at least mentioning the SOC and amount of RAM and Storage would've been nice, unless I missed it somewhere in the video? Especially for lower budget devices like this, were specs still make more of a difference to performance than the high end phones that basically run anything nowadays without issues.

Bit of an odd feeling video, I thought? The sudden change of set early on with no acknowledgment, an overly loud piece of background music starting at around 10:50 running until it ends (and then again around 15:20). Also the whole thing feels a touch... flabby? I know it's ShortCircuit and is meant to have a more loose style, but nonetheless this felt like the footage wasn't (or couldn't be) tightened up in editing. Just a weird collision of production/editing things perhaps (or it's just me).

I agree 100%, the new set is alright, but it was so random when it got switched, as well as the music was a pain to watch through. I appreciate LMG switching things up, but I think it has to be done one at a time, because this was jarring.

300g is a lot for a normal non-folding phone, especially since it's frame is made of plastic and the battery is only 5000mA, I remember the galaxy m62 having a 7000mA battery and it weight was around 220g

They usually make good phones. This one seems like a miss but their Titan and jelly were pretty huge successes among niche audiences.

I love the IR blaster reference. I had neighbors that would watch TV at all hours of the night blaring so loud you could hear it through the ceiling. There was nothing the building management could do unless it was measured above some dB level. So when they were doing it I'd use my IR blaster to just crank it up and up and up until other people in the building called the police and just like that: problem solved.

Loving this review, the voice is soothing af too!

Thank you for including Genshin impact in gaming performance. I often have to advice people what to get and knowing that Genshin can be played or not, gives a rough idea how usable the phone is. Great metric.

IR BLASTERRRRRR but I think nowdays every phone should have at least one user-programmable button, it's fine if it defaults to some assistant app, like bixby or google assistant, but it should be USER-PROGRAMMABLE to do stuff like launch any app, or activate flashlight, or camera, or other such miscallenaous stuff

The level shot of the new set is extremely jarring when you've just come from the old set where the camera is angled down ever so slightly slightly, gives the whole video a much more sterile and de-personalised feeling. And the random loud music that kicks in half way through, what was that about?

LMG, please keep this guy around, i love his take on phones and the truth there has to be with the "lower end" models like he just did. I wished he did a more thoruogh explanation on the Samsung phones, since i got the S23, not the Plus or Ultra Edition just... the basic one, and the reason for that, is the Hearing Aid Compatibility system and the fact, that 6,5 inches screen is getting too big for me... Anyway, keep him around regardless.

Very cool video. I love going in depth on a cheaper phone. KZreadrs calling iphone se or pixel a series „budget phones” really annoys me. I would love to see cheaper tech get more care and attention by reviewers. I know it’s generating less clicks etc. but when you cannot afford the best and you look for good enough it is sometimes hard to find profesional and serious reviews.

Customizable button is one reason that keeps me from upgrading my Mi 9. I use that for screenshot and it helps whenever 3 finger swap is risky and power+vol down requires fingers gymnastics. Even outside those special conditions, a single button press really helps than other alternatives.

@@felipecardel when you take it during game there's a potential that one of your finger mistouches and not registered as a screnshot trigger, and instead sent to the game. Depending on the game, it could be anything.

I miss my hotkeys from cybershot&walkman and nokia express music era. Being able to switch tracks without turning the phone on using volume button is something that i still can't figure out (yeah, maybe with root shortcuts that works half of the time it's achievable but would like to have that in stock)

i saw a comment about the labs testing phone screens. i think thats a great idea, idk if you see replies so heres my 2 cents imo the lab should test non-hdr brightness. everyone loves to throw around oooh 2000 nits but thats for like 1% of the screen in hdr mode before the phone dims the screen to save battery and prevent burn in. if youre gonna go ahead with this, remember some phones (like the iphone 13 pro, for example) only let you hit max sdr brightness when the ambient light sensor detects a bright environment. so please point a flashlight at the sensor to make sure youre getting the actual max brightness.

Hey for the "nits" testing. There is a subreddit for flashlights and there are some people who are really informed on testing practices for lighting if yall ever need to source more info.

Budget phones don't usually use both the regular and earpiece speakers. Like my budget Redmi note 9 uses just the regular. My sisters Redmi note 8T uses its regular only. All of my friends use phones that only use the regular speaker

No idea why does Uniherz not just stick to things it does well, like phones with an actual keyboard. Uniherz Titan is, for the lack of any competitors, quite alright, but the software there is extremely old by modern standards. But it has a keyboard, which is why I have got it in teh first place.

Music starting at 11:08 could be way more subdued. Not sure why it's so loud or even necessary for this section of the video.
