I'd Like You To Land The Drone As You Are Committing An Offence 👮‍♂️🛸🎥🚮

#stopthestink
PART 1 OF 2.
FACEBOOK GROUP TO KEEP UP TO DATE - / stsffoc
Today we visit Walleys Quarry Landfill, Cemetery Rd, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Newcastle ST5 6SB.
We received a message from a local resident about how this Landfill Site was responsible for a very strong smell which is affected a large number of local residents.
We speak to many protestors and constables and get stuck in a few times when the moment feels right.
Find out if I take the drone back up on Part 2 (COMES OUT 17TH MARCH AT 4PM) which can be found here - • If You Don't Move From...
Enjoy!
Countdown theme = Sci-fi
Thanks to Carl & Alison Positive Audio Liverpool who donated the drone music for this video - / dirtydollop2011

I got back from this Protest Yesterday and had over 1 Hour of material to edit and upload. To make sure the video was viewable in time for today and to avoid such a long video, I decided to split it into 2. Part 2 is out tomorrow (17th March 2022) at 4pm. We have plenty more conversations and I even warn the road sweeper to stop spraying us. I just cant keep quite when something isn't right. The police come straight over all guns blazing at this part. 🤣🤣 Does the drone go back up? Of course it does! See you tomorrow. DJ

@@oflaherty903 I've just watched another video. He was videoing, but pretending to fly a drone. Never even had one, just a screen and kept looking up in the sky. :-) Another I've seen, was pulling red and yellow cards out for each mistake the officers made. ie. Yellow card, failure to ID. Yellow card, wearing illegal badges. Yellow card, illegal parking. ..... I think that's brilliant. Hand them out, offence on the front, the law/regulations on the back.

Thanks DJ for a great bit of journalism. Even the local news channels around the country could not produce such quality reports. That site was in some state, I could see a few safety issues that need questioning too. I really like this sort of stuff because there are lots of similar things going on but again we never hear about them. Looking forward to part two.

Hi DJ. This is my local area. I've lived in Stoke-on-Trent for over 4 years now, although I don't live near this place, fortunately. Looking at the drone footage, it amazes me why there isn't a 50 foot wall all around the place. Zero protection from toxic fumes, at the mercy of the wind. Well done for covering something that our local 'Stokies' really care about mate ! - Let's hope this video goes viral ! - You're a legend !

Fantastic video !. I worked near Silverdale and drove past this place everyday and, I have to say, it REALLY does stink. As soon as you get within a mile or so, you can smell it, and, depending which way the wind is blowing, it stinks for miles. Your drone footage shows large 45 gallon plastic drums which can and should be recycled, but they are dumped into this place…., why ?, what do they contain ?. Your footage also shows a new housing estate being built just around the corner from this dump. Who would buy a new house where you can’t even open your windows ?. Very entertaining video of a local story that’s been going on for years, thanks for highlighting it and I can’t wait for the next instalment. Thank you DJ Audits.

A little history on this quarry. For many years it was a working quarry, extracting clay for brick and tile productions. It was closed in the late 80's and was left for nature to take back for over a decade. In 1997 an application was made for it to be used as a landfill, the application was denied by the local borough council and the county council only to be given the green light by the then secretary of state John Prescott. The original permissions were for it to be used for inert waste only, although when those permissions ran out it was ok for it to be used for other none hazardous waste. In 2019 RED Industries took over the site from Lafarge. The Owner of RED is a man called Adam Share he is a former convict having been sent to prison for paying someone to tap the phone lines of the EA, local councillors and members of the public. Since 2019 the site has gone from bad to as bad as it could possibly get having recorded the highest amounts of H2S (hydrogen sulphide) ever recorded from any landfill ever. We have taken it to the High Court and we won but the EA appealed so we're now heading to the European Court of Human Rights.

Never fly over people who are crowded together, no matter what size of drone or model aircraft you have. Examples of places where people are often crowded together include: shopping areas sports events religious gatherings *political gatherings* music festivals and concerts *marches and rallies* at a crowded beach or park parties, carnivals and fêtes
