May 2023 will be nine years I have been clean from heroin. There is no way I could do it without the LORD JESUS CHRIST and I knew that and one day I called on him and he heard my cry and healed me from heroin and cocaine. I tried inpatient programs and outpatient programs and no one can help me but the LORD JESUS CHRIST. Thank you LORD for all you have done me.

I will be clean from cigarettes and marijuana this February 21st 5 years, i smoked both from age 21 to 59, got pneumonia and prayed to the Lord to help me, all my tests came back negative, and i knew then he heard me, and i now obey and enjoy a clean life, and i'm soooo very different now that i found him, he is a wonderful God and caring, love listening to these testimonies and seeing how people get healthy and change, it's all about Jesus for me now, Praise God!

Her description of heroin withdrawal is 100% correct. I laid on my back in bed one time and literally held my arms straight up for 6 hours because that was the only way I remotely felt comfortable. It's very accurate saying it feels like the total body flu.i wanted to crawl outta my skin.it becomes a living hell. I still have RLS to this day. I'm 12 yrs clean as of last December 👍🏻

27 years sober this year. First time I'm celebrating but it's because I know I couldn't have walked one day sober without Him. He's so worthy! I would've been the worst version of myself. 27 years ago I threw up from being drunk and I heard the Lord say, "That's a demon. Don't do it again:" it was clear and I knew i had to obey. I recently went through the worst season of my life but I know if I was still drinking I would been dead. God always has a plan. He is so faithful. God is faithful still. 💚

I don't ever post on KZread, however after listening to this young ladies testimony, it left me to tears. I'm a 60-year-old man, and don't cry easy, but I must say this one hit a soft spot in me. It was a very encouraging testimony...what this young lady went through was hell on earth. I'm so very proud of her. She hit rock bottom and to see her come all that way and find God and Jesus is absolutely the most beautiful and encouraging testimony that I've ever heard. God bless you and your son Winnie!

I’m a former addict of meth, opiates, and cocaine and I have been clean from everything for almost 2 years now. It’s a vicious cycle to get caught up in and it does not discriminate! I know Jesus is the only reason I’ve escaped that hell and even though I’m not a perfect follower of Christ, he is still working on my heat and everyday I grow hungrier and hungrier for him. I’ve been so lost for so long and I feel so ashamed of my self and my sin is more than I can care but by his grace I know I can be forgiven. I thank God for saving my soul and setting me free from sin and addictions.

April of this year will be 10 years clean off of heroin and meth. Jesus broke the chains of addiction off of me and completely set me free! Just like she said, after you taste the goodness of God, you never want to go back. I am so grateful to be alive and serving the Lord today.

@Sunflower - Jesus Christ takes away YOUR guilt and shame (Isaiah 53) . He was shamed and humiliated - an exchange for YOUR shame. But the 'accuser' and the flesh are always seeking to keep us slaves by guilt and shame. I have believed in Jesus many years - but having residual guilt and shame due to secret sin - the Lord is Himself revealing that the HE is NOT the source of the guilt and shame. How can I tell you this MORE CLEARLY? HE IS PURE LOVE TO YOU (as long as its not judgement day yet). All these Testimonies show HE IS PURE LOVE TO YOU (Not the source or promoter of guilt and shame).

What a powerful testimony! After listening to this any opiate addict should know that Jesus is real! My mother has this same testimony from the mid 70's. Every morning for years I'd be standing in line with my parents at the methadone clinic. Back then Nuns gave it out not nurses. Nothing pulled her out quite like Jesus. My dad left before we went to Jesus. Actually my grandfather gave him a one way ticket to Arizona to his parents. GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST! HALLELUJAH!

I pray that You may strengthen them, give them peace and let them know that You've got their families. My 37 year old son recently died from “toxic effects of methamphetamine”. He left 4 daughters(2 of which live with me)I know he’s with Jesus as he was Born Again but never made the decision to stay away from meth forever. I’m so glad you did!!! I took my son to teen challenge in Panama city FL. HE Ended up leaving. It was not a good experience. He went to rehab many times, but thank God he has been clean for 5 years!!!

I lost my husband to drug addiction. The Lord told me that he would come into His path, but that it would be for a short time. He said: he will become a christian, a true christian but he will fall one more time into the life of drugs, and I will take him. Because if I allow him to live his soul will perish, do to his weakness for it. The prophesy came to pass just like God said it would. He passed away on Dec 31, 2018 GOD BLESS YOU ALL🙌

maybe it comes from many years of God dealing with him about the things that REALLY matter in life - tough lessons in faith, with pain sometimes. Just from some very little experience i have helping foreigners (immigrants, not exactly total instant strangers like this case).

Dearest Sister in Christ, I must Thank You for your testimony and praise God for His loving kindness and tender mercy. Your testimony takes me back to the time when my life was chaotic and miserable. I didn't know how to be free. In the midst of it all, Jesus put it very strongly in my heart that it was not the life He chose for me. He gave me hope. He saved me and set me free. Oh, how wonderful it was! Tears of gratitude and joy are rolling from my eyes. How good is God!

Those parents (by the grace of the Lord) seem to have had a very iinate understanding of the parable of the prodigal son - and stuck there in UNWAVERING faith AND LOVE in the Lord - believing the Lord will bring the daughter back. From the outcome of the pregnancy - i have Absolutely no doubt the Lord was there all along. What surprises me more is what the Lord Jesus Christ gets into in pursuit of a soul to save - really nasty stuff there. Praise the Lord!

When she said Teen Challenge my heart sank! I had a dear friend for most of my life. Nathan.. he got clean with teen challenge and relapsed and they took him back. The last time I saw him was driving him back, in 2008 it broke my heart! 💔 I loved him so much I just wanted him to heal. He passed away in 2016 they found him frozen on Saskatoon river. He had the most beautiful heart. I miss him so much. Hearing this young woman’s story made me realize how thankful I am for teen challenge because of them I got 15 extra heats with my best friend, that I wouldn’t have without that organization ❤

1. Focus on worshipping (focus on Him not the anxiety) 2. Read the Bible daily 3. Fast and pray 4. Speak to the anxiety and panic with Biblical scriptures that talk about spiritual battle, for example: "I am a child of The Most High God", Isaiah 54:17, Psalm 23:1-6, Psalm 23:1-6 5. Be thoughtful and vigilant of what you let your eyes see and ears hear, don't watch murder documentaries or movies that honor death or fear or anything that doesn't come from God, same with music

Psalm 40 (especially the first few verses) and Psalm 107 (first 2/3rds especially) are powerful. Remember fear is a spirit too, and God hasn’t given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a SOUND MIND. Keep reading scriptures and they will take hold and root out fear. Seek to understand when and where those fears came in, and ask God to show you the truth of WHERE HE WAS when those events happened. Romans 12:2 is also foundational for growing in peace and grace. Read read read the Bible. I’ve only known God for under a year and reading the bible is what brings me comfort. I lived in such a state of anxiety and panic, I had continuous chest pain, wondered if I was going to die from a heart attack. I saw the lights from oncoming traffic as inviting and my therapist advised to go ahead and let my thoughts about suicide play out in my head. Then I met Jesus. And to cut a long story short- reading the Bible daily, multiple times throughout the day, even for few minutes at the time and contemplating on His words fills my heart and soul with Him, not leaving any room for the darkness. I know and can feel very well when I haven’t read the Bible much or skipped a day or more. I become easily scared, quick to anger, bothered by little things and cold. The difference is I know where this behaviour and feelings are coming from and I know to call on the name of Jesus. I know he’s always close by. I do find that sometimes when I read the Bible, I get stuck on a handful of verses for an absolute age, like 20 verses for 1.5 hours, and I can’t get past it. Then suddenly it feels like the Bible becomes alive and I have this understanding which is not coming from me! So in my experience, reading the Bible. As much as you can. Fill your hearts soul and mind with Jesus’ love and put on the armour of God. It’s real. God bless you.

Amazing testimony! It seems so similar to my story. I was between meth and xanax for years. I would want to clean up my life and I'd get clean for 3-6 months and go back to meth again and in between them times I was still doing xanax every 2 weeks out of a month and I would pray that Jesus would help deliver me of that addiction and to help me get rid of the "want" to get high and eventually after a year or so Jesus answered my prayers and I've been clean from both for almost 2 years! Glory is all to God! 🙏 I still havent been able to fully give my whole life to Jesus yet like I'd like to but I've always believed and always felt like I will eventually get there! I know it's him that I need, and to fully let go of sin is just hard to do sometimes, I need to find a good christian church to attend. Her testimony only gives me more hope! God is great! I hope all goes well with her! She can do great things for people thru Jesus with her testimony alone!

What a beautiful testimony. God took her mess and turned it into a message. And the message is, anyone that calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. His name is JESUS. While we were yet sinners, he died for us.

I’ve been addicted to opioids sense I was 18 went from oxy to heroine, to fentanyl because u can’t get heroine anymore, I’m now 38 in a methadone program on 50 mils and I’m going down to 40 Monday and I hope I’ll be off it in a few months, I told Jesus to please help me I tried soo many times on my own to stop but I can’t, but with Jesus I know I’ll be able to do it. Going to those rehab programs they don’t help you with withdrawals they make u go cold turkey and it is impossible u need to go down slow so you don’t get sick, it’s like u will do whatever it takes to make those withdrawal symptoms go away

Now 8yrs in my relationship with Jesus, Holy Spirit never stops working in me. And yess we will sing Holy Holy for allll of our days here as well as with Our King!!!!!!!

I was an Opiate addict for 20yrs i completely lost everything and everyone to me. I landed in prison. My 1st day there I was a wreck mentally. For the 1st time in my adult life at age 35 I cried out to God and Jesus Christ saved me. Its been 10 years since Ive been out. Not a day goes by that I dont thank Jesus Christ for his grace and mercy. ❤👑🕊️ Praise God!

What a beautiful testimony. I have been through hell and back. Addiction is pure hell. Jesus is the only answer out there. I don’t know where I will be without him. I used to be just like her and he rescued me. He cares so much best friend out there.I was so deep in my sins and I couldn’t see the light. Only Jesus can forgive all the sins that I have committed. Society crucified you Jesus set you free.

I'm from Humboldt County (The darkest place you've ever been) and I know exactly what the drug community looks like here. I'm a recovering addict. It's dark and disgusting more than most places. People are possessed and mean and they trick each other on a daily basis. Unfortunately, when teens enter the drug game here that's what they come into. I'm glad you got outta here. ❤❤

I absolutely love what you said about how you combat the devil's attempts to bring you down with all the negative thoughts, words we tell ourselves, and self doubt making us think we are not special enough, strong enough, smart enough, consistent enough...whatever it takes to bring us back to addiction, sin, or make us feel that we can't succeed and we won't. As much as the devil wants us to believe we are defined by our past mistakes, we know that's not true when we start walking with Jesus and the Holy Spirit is alive inside of us. I also really love (and I am paraphrasing) when you said.... Jesus chose you by name and "you are mine". That is so powerful and gives me goosebumps thinking about my own experience of coming to know Jesus. It's the realization that we are not here by accident. God created everything and He created ME. Hearing those very words "You are mine" changes everything and heals our hearts the way nothing but the love of Jesus Christ can do. I am living proof. My own testimony blows my mind and it pales in comparison to the miracles in these testimonies. But I know the minute we realize we cannot do anything without a Savior, that's the moment things change. That's when we notice our prayers are being heard. And for any nonbelievers who may be watching and reading this, just know that He is real. He is as real as anything tangible you can touch or see. If you are struggling, it just means you haven't seen Him yet, perhaps you aren't ready or you're not willing. Sometimes it takes a long time to humble oneself enough, to park our pride, to drop the anger and cinecism. It takes a willingness to uncover what has been purposely hidden from us. We must investigate what we previously believed because of what we know for ourselves or because of what we were told. Lack of proof is not a good enough reason to gamble with your soul with absolute certainty. There is plenty of evidence. It's everywhere and not esoteric subjective interpretation and opinion. The only valid rejection is you don't want it to be true.

5 years clean from the hard stuff (heroin/meth/alcohol/etc.). However, i recently fell to a little known substance called Kratom 6 months ago. Seemingly harmless, yet bankrupted my spirituality and peace. Im now 2 weeks clean, still going through some minor acute withdrawals, but this time I'm doing things differently. Before, i sinply had a relationship with this generic "high power" Id occasionally refer to as God. I've felt a calling this time to know Jesus. I joined a men's group at church and started going to confession weekly. I'm also signing up for an addiction outreach program through our church. I need to know God and Jesus on an intimate level. 5 years of sobriety with a "high power" was only seeting the foundation for my next steps to know Jesus. I think this relapse woke me up to deciding i needed to know God more personally. Wish me luck on these next steps of my journey!

He says not to idol anything or anyone. Worship means our body is a ship and we put the armor on hence “wor” aka “war”, and fight. Not “worship” him that would be idolizing. Everything is vibrations and LOVE is the highest and that is where The highest is through us inside of us. Everything you need is inside of you. Nothing external.
