just goes to show that being in close contact with your animals and treating them like pets instead of live stock you get to know them so well that you know when something so small as breath is off and that's tremendous in their health care. You are a fabulous animal mommy Brooke they are so lucky to have you .

I loved the cute little hoof print on your white pants, I would want to outline it with a marker and any other ones there might be and paint them blue, with fabric paint. I love little accident prints and save them if I can. I have a little ornamental well in the yard, it needs painted, but there is something special on it, My Grand daughter decided to paint our German Shepherd purple with her hands when she was 5 or 6. Then when she was done, she wiped the paint off her hands off on one of the side pieces of the roof of the well. She is 28 now and it is still there, to remind me of the day that I did a double take when I saw my dog was purple. And I knew who did it, she still had purple paint on her hands, clothes and shoes. I'm so glad you caught that smell and it lead to Capri getting some much needed medical attention. I would never have thought that it would show up on her breath, I would think it would be coming from the rear. But so, so, so glad she will be able to recover. Those babies are so cute and they just love you so much, they want to eat your hair. I wish goats didn't grow up so fast, they are a source of never ending entertainment and as I already mentioned, so, so, so cute, I could watch them all day!

What a great idea!!! You made precious memories for you & your grandchildren!! How sweet! Brooke noticed her off breath not bc there was any medical connection but Capri "cleans" (by eating) any internal "cleanings" that is afterbirth. While very gross, it is very nutritious for animals. Plus getting "rid of it" helps so it doesn't attract prey. But there is no medical connection, to my knowledge, between the two.

Glad you caught things so quickly. I know that afterbirth can cause problems....not goats...but I had 2 cats get into serious trouble 1 thankfully we got her to the vet before her uterus exploded it was so full of infection it's amazing she survived for another 17 years...my other cat apparently didn't get all the material from the previous litter out so it caused miscarriage of the next litter and then caused her blood not to clot properly fortunately our vet was able to get her back together and she decided to go live with the neighbour...then there was rabbits I had never thought about a dnc on a pet I thought nature took care of that apparently not always I don't remember what was done I do remember 2 of my does didn't survive.

Why on earth do you have to explain yourself? You and Jason are the most caring and observant animal owners on a farm ive ever seen. Any issue is taken care of as soon as its noticed and that farm is very clean! Keep up the great work you do!

Good Thursday morning, Brooke from Venus, Texas. Those babies are really growing and great at sucking the bottles 🍼 down fast. They are all adorable. ❤

It doesn’t sound crazy at all. It’s not the first time that I heard of someone saying they could smell things like infection on someone. Always trust your instincts because they have been spot on with you Brooke. You saved Capri from a possible life threatening situation. ❤❤❤

I'm so glad your smeller is working. Now you can smell poisonous snakes 🐍 and infection, lol. I'm glad the goats are doing so well with your great care. Way to go Brooke
