That signing glitch only happens when you sign a free agent and the cutscene doesn't happen for them. Then if you sign another player after, it will show the free agent player instead of the player you just signed.

Yeah, I signed akram afif in my career mode (free agent signing) and his cutscene didnt happen for about 6 months (in game months)

facts

sid. the reason you won the league with nice so quickly. is because the ai simulation usually does some weird and questionable upsets when simulating. if a team is too dominant. edit: the biggest example of this happening is either the bundesliga,ligue 1 or laliga. in the bundesliga borrusia dortmund and bayern end up like in 7-10th spot. laliga mostl happens with real madrid. because i have seen many times real madrid go to the europa league and sometimes the conference league. in ligue 1 after like 3-4 seasons psg somehow manages to bottle the league. the way most of this is happening is because of the amount of draws and losses to the start of the season. and once it starts getting better. you dont have time to catch up

see your theory is fake because sid just loads a new save file for every league because before managing newcastle he signed bruno guimares to the previous team but when he managed new castle bruno was at new castle
