Just a note about Emperor's New Groove: the movie's timeline is really weird simply because of how meta it is. Like, they're clearly in ancient South America, but trampolines (which were invented in 1936) appear and interact with the plot by saving Yzma from falling. It's kinda similar to that "Aladdin takes place in a post-apocalyptic world" theory.

I am glad that Sofia was acknowledged here, genuinely great show with a well-thought out continuity. It was actually confirmed not too long ago that there will be a new Sofia spinoff set in Enchancia, so it's possible we could see more references/cameos from Disney stuff.

Just to carry off the Peter Pan connection, in the book the Neverland has no set location because it essentially finds you, so it’s possible for little mermaid characters to show up anywhere in the world and if you believe the Neverland is timeless the characters can appear at any time period as well

That new short “ once upon a studio“, basically connects all the movies into one.

Actually, Maui has a tattoo for everything he's done, so if it appeared as a tattoo on his body, it's something he did. We see him get the tattoo for helping Moana and it appeared magically, meaning the other tattoos just be the same.

Fun fact: rhe water effects from Little Mermaid were inspired by the entire ocean sequence from Pinocchio so I guess those two universes connect very well together.

The cat from Pinocchio is Minnie's pet sometimes, Madam Mim has teamed up with the beagle boys you might know from Ducktales, the mice from Cinderella live in the farm of Donald Duck's grandma, the big bad wolf frequently teams up with villains from Song of the South, etc

Strange World was actually the first island that Tahiti pulled up, that's why you don't see it interacting with the other films, because it takes place before all of them, except for maybe Dinosaur, which takes place on the other side of the world on Pangea.

The problem with the Bambi's mum theory, is the fact that Bambi's story takes place in a North American forest that is also supposed to take place in the early 1900's, while Gaston's story takes place in the 1700's France.

There is, i think, a connection with aladdin and merlin from the sword in the stone, at the end of aladdin when the genie says that he's going on vacation to honolulu with his friend, and almost at the end of the sword in the stone, merlin says "honolulu here i come", ALSO when merlin comes back, he has the same shirt as the genie, so yeah.

Alice's sister was Margaret in the book "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" but wasn't named in the Disney animated film; that's true, but Mrs. Darling's name is always Mary, just like from the book "Peter Pan" so that is still a totally different character, and as for the timing of Peter Pan looks like it actually took place in the late 1800s or the turn of 1900, because otherwise Wendy wouldn't have been given much time to start a family of her own before WWII where the Return to Neverland movie's story takes place if the time placement for the first PP film had been that close to WW I.

For one thing Mary could easily be a nickname for Margaret and secondly Danny doesn’t exist in the original Peter Pan book so clearly there’s a lot of changes from the source material

@@reggieunderthesea; That is why I left Danny out of my comments since this is supposed to be Disney talk, not, trying to delve too deep into details, because the literary Peter Pan books and Plays have no sequels, but they did have prequel stories about Peter Pan's origins after that, And Disney's Return to Neverland is Disney's own work; I was never implying that it had any actual thing to do with J.M. Barry's works, only that they are only connected because of the Main (usual) Characters and the basic following of the Neverland Guidelines {Faith, Trust, and Believe} which is the actual message of the Novel in Disney it's "Pixy Dust" in place of "Believe".

Surprised you didn't mention how the directors of frozen confirmed Tarzan is Anna and Elsa's brother or even try to connect their parents to Tarzan's parents. or officially talk about the theory of Jane being a descendant of Belle.

I've seen another one with a rabbit too, but I don't remember where, and I don't know if it has to do with Jack Savage because that's a really early concept of the movie, it's most likely related to the wild times script, I mean it fits with the slightly edgy tone of the billboards lol.

We actually got confirmation from the creators of the current aeration of the 101 Dalmatian. 101 dalmatian street is the continuation from the original movie. As they did not take any of the sequels, books, or games, into the consideration of the show. So it only continues from the original movie to 101 Dalmatian Street.

I feel like a lot of the reasoning in this video proves that the movies take place in parallel universes at least but not necessarily the same universe. 29:50 for example suggests that the same tea set exists in both the Universe of Beauty and the Beast and Tarzan but it's still possible that different events happened with the tea set in each universe.

When connecting the Disney films I like to think that this universe has multiple dimensions, like there’s the A dimension where all the animated films take place and then there’s an L dimension where the live action films take place, plus there’s a dimension where humans don’t exist and that’s where films like zootopia, Robin Hood, Lion King, all the Mickey Mouse films, and perhaps dinosaur. Bc we actually see the evolution of the animals as without humans the animals took over the world and began to walk on two legs and talk. Plus we see how in the A dimension shows how in the universe with humans animals are kinda evolving as the animals in these films are intelligent but not at the same level as the animals in zootopia for example. And Enchanted proves that it’s possible to use magic to travel between universes.

Maui isn’t lying about the things in his song. He’s bragging about all the amazing things he has done and how humans should adore him because of it all. This is supported in the context of the movie by his tattoos, and supported in a wider context by Maui’s mythology.

okay but Maui wasn't lying. the stories that he tells in You're Welcome (and that are shown on his tattoos) are based on Polynesian mythology, so they're presented as fact in the movie. also, i know you didn't connect Raya and the Last Dragon and Moana but it's unlikely that they would've sailed east to Southeast Asia/Oceania since historically, people from the Polynesian region came from Southeast Asia both by foot (when water levels were low enough for islands to be connected by land) and by boat

So obviously I know this is focusing on solely the movies, but an interesting thing to take into account is the game Kingdom Hearts. Specifically in KH3 some of the Disney worlds are actually fully canon to both KH and the actual movie IP. One of these canon worlds is actually Big Hero Six. This small detail means that quite literally every single Disney character, works, reference, and appearance within Kingdom Hearts is canonically all taking place in the same universe. Doesn't connect up everything obviously, but helps give even more evidence for some connections.

The "Princess Aurora" cameo in Oliver and Company actually seems to resemble Anita from 101 Dalmatians, which would fit with all the dog cameos!

They take place around WWII, but the firefly's (Raymond) love (Evangeline) are rejoined after Ray's death in the princess in the frog. The shadow of Peter Pan is black magic akin to the main villain's (Dr. Facilier) black shadow, since both shadows are sentient and occur from magic.

Just wanted to point out that there are connections to multiple series in a not so well known show. I don’t know how how believable this is but here goes anyway: In a Christmas episode of “The Wonderful World of Disney” called “From all of us to all of you”, multiple Disney characters sent Christmas cards to the host of the show (Jiminy Cricket)(at least in the newer renditions). In these cards, they show a clip from the respective movie. These are definitely clear connections. The first rendition of this show featured Cindarella, Lady and the Tamp, Snowhite, Peter Pan, Pinocchio and lastly Bambi. In later renditions they mixed and matched a bit with some new clips: Robin Hood, the Junglebok, and so on. In the later versions they even added in universe news that are clips of coming movies, meaning that the newer movies (Strange World etc.) are connected as well. Most of this are based on Wikipedia and the Swedish translation of the show (Known as “Kalle Ankas Julafton”)

Pinocchio's presense in Tangled is actually explained in the original Pinocchio novel. When Pinocchio turns into a human at the end, his puppet form actually separates from his human form. His human form is alive and has all of Pinocchio's memories, while his puppet form is just a lifeless puppet. Both exist simultaneously. He didn't just transform, he was transported to a new body. What you see in Tangled is Pinocchio's old body after he became human.

Fun Fact! In the DVD bluray second Disc bonus features of Aladdin, there's a small mini game where Timone just... shows up. It's wild. It's a virtual magic carpet ride "adventure" thing. And Timone is just there. No one knows why.

I think for the moana-little mermaid connection, you can make a point for them taking place at the same time because in the song shiny, tomatoa says "c'est la vie mon amie"(sorry if I misspelled it) meaning that they had come into contact with french explorers.

Sofia also connects to Frozen through a parallel universe as the amulet summons Olaf when an evil fairy messes with the amulet. The episode is something like “Olaf and the Secret Library”.

A lot of these don't sit right with me because it's either just reused animation, a simple Easter Egg, or it doesn't fit in with your timeline at all. BUT YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT MAKES ME UPSET THE MOST??? You say some of the cartoons, specifically name dropping House of Mouse, don't make sense because "characters just show up," (WHICH BY THE WAY, is what YOU use as explanations for stuff like Aladdin and Hercules connecting) but there's a VERY simple explanation for that, all coming from the mouse himself, and showing up in the happiest place on Earth... Disneyland. While I was on a recent family trip to Disneyland, we managed to get to ride the new Micky and Minnie's Runaway Railway ride. The entire queue was themed around a movie theater, KIND OF like House of Mouse, but where it gets REALLY interesting is WHAT is in the queue. The queue has a lot of items on display that are consistently referred to as "props." Not like items, relics, mementos, nothing like that, SPECIFICALLY props, which would be used in TV shows and movies. Among them are things like the wheel from Steamboat Willie, the magic book, throne, and robes from Fantasia, the giant wheel thing from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, etc. This not only connects all of these shows, shorts, etc. nicely, but it also confirms, through the fact that they're called props and on display in a theater, that Mickey is just an actor. This has the implications that, in something like House of Mouse, ALL of the Disney characters are just actors, which actually makes this ALL make more sense. If all of these characters are actually actors, it makes sense why they can appear in other movies WHILE ALSO BREAKING THE TIMELINE! It's sort of like how Stan Lee cameoed in every Marvel film before he passed. It's the same thing here. These are just the same actors and actresses playing cameo roles in other movies. Also you wanna know something funny? We can connect Tinker Bell back to everything too, because not only is Peter Pan in House of Mouse, which is just a TV show with all of these actors existing together, BUT YOU WANNA KNOW WHO ELSE APPEARS AT DISNEYLAND??? TINKER BELL! At the end of the Soarin' Over the World ride at Disneyland's California Adventure, you end up back at Disneyland during a fireworks show, but who else is there to greet you but none other than Tinker Bell. So there you go, there's your Tinker Bell Easter Egg or something, idk man. Also like, Kingdom Hearts is canon, but we aren't ready for that conversation yet... (Also also, the Lucky Cat Cafe one, while I'll say they have the exact same name, the fonts are NOT "exactly the same." There are enough minor differences to show that they're indeed different. Yes, I'm a huge nerd for noticing that, I do not care. While we're here on this part of the video, Honey Lemon's phone case looks more like a red cat with a tie, not a fox, and not specifically Nick.
