My guide/tips to surviving the Deep Dark. 1, wool does not trigger skulk sensors when you place or break them. This allows you to build near sensors and loot chests by surrounding them in wool. 2, multiple Wardens can spawn and it takes 1 minute for it to dig back into the ground. This timer is reset whenever it detects a mob. 3, for the Warden to spawn, you must activate three skulk sensors that are within a short radius of a skulk shrieker. 4, the Wardens attack “Sonic Boom”, can attack mobs within a 20 block radius. It can go through blocks and will be used when a mob is too far for the Warden to do their up-close attack. 5, Wardens are blind and listen for clues leading to their enemies position. If they do not hear anything for a while, they will resort to smelling the player to find them. 6, you can tell if the warden is agro towards you by whether you have the darkness effect or not. 7, you can easily trap the warden by getting them in a corner and placing water opposite of that corner. If anyone doesn’t already know, the reason packed mud has wheat in the recipe is because hay and mud makes adobe. Adobe is the real life version of of mud bricks.

The mesa biome has to be one of my favourite biomes. The orange and brown contrast is a nice palette, the geological features are steep and amazing, and they have a higher chance of gold and gold mines.

Dan, some future advise is that when you go to an ancient city and sneak around, carry wool with you. Wool is the only block that can not be detected by the sculk sensors since it absorbs the sound. Just a heads up for next time. Keep it up Dan! Edit: I found some more advise as to surviving the deep dark… 1: Hoes are key in the deep dark. They can break all sculk related blocks way quicker then a pickaxe. This also grants you xp and is one of the best ways to level up. 2: The recovery compass points you where you last died which can be helpful in various situations. I believe the crafting recipe is 8 echo shards and a compass. 3: (Bonus Easter Eggs) Finding 9 disc fragments allows you to make a new music disc labeled “5”. This disc plays teaser sound effects as to what will be coming in the next update(new dimension) Also where the portal in the ancient city spawns, below is a room full of red stone that you can take. This is all I’ve heard of for now..

I’ve survived in survival mode in the deep dark for 50 mc days. Here are my tips: Always place wool around a shrieker before you break it, set up base in the safest place possible (high up or in a building with few/no sensors around), loot all the stuff, and DONT KILL THE WARDEN, light up the city and go mining.

Make this into a series, Dan. Would be a nice lil "something on the side" kind of thing.

you dont have to crouch on wool, you can sprint on it. walking on wool doesnt make any noise since it absorbs any sounds. you can also place blocks and torches on wool and it wont make noise to the sculk sensors. just a heads up, since i saw you sneaking on wool. also use the hoe when breaking anything sculk related. that diamond hoe you picked up in the ancient city would insta break sculk sensors and shriekers. also just any sculk blocks.

@@deenot2759 swift sneak 3 combined with sprint-sneaking is the same speed as sprinting though but dan kept cancelling out his sprint-sneak. sprint-sneak is when you hold ctrl and then hold shift while still sprinting and then you go double speed. without any swift sneak, sprint-sneaking is 3/4 the speed of walking. without sprint-sneak, it is 2/4 the speed of walking (or 1/2)

one thing I learned from the new update is that 1: yes wool doesn't trigger the warden, the wool blocks the vibrations. 2: you can place wool on all 4 sides of a block plus up a little or down a little to block vibration then you can place/destroy something. 3: if you use wool to destroy the shriekers then you don't have to worry. Just before you destroy them make sure to check around for any others that will possibly go off. 4: mark the safe area's so you know if you don't have to sneak anymore. 5: if you get rid of all shriekers then make sure you don't kill anything near a sculk catalyst it can steal all of the xp and turn it into sculk and it can spawn a new shrieker. 6: try to locate all of the nearby shriekers so you know where is safe and where isn't. so ya I believe that is it.

40:20 i was filled with immense pain when he didnt go to the secret door and eat the gapple so that the sculk detects it and opens the door. dan, next time you go to an ancient city, you have to take the golden apple out the chest and go in front of a wall. then eat the golden apple and it will open the door with pistons and there is some loot in the secret place. you can also just dig down but that ruins the fun.

This video was perfect as I love all of the little mini edits, too, as your content has gotten so much better lately and can I say, it's EPIC what you do with your editors! Also, every time I watch your videos, I screenshot your funny little moments and save them, lol! (Sorry to be weird?) Also, here is my mini virtual guidebook with six tips you could do off-camera or in the video that can help you? 1. To add a mini wood path to your mud hut if you wanted to to make it aesthetically pleasing? 2. If you can, destroy all of the Sculk Sensors so that it becomes less likely that the warden can see you! (But don't worry if it takes ages, though!) 3. To take the scrap, make mini chests away from the Sculk Sensors for the rubbish, and take the good stuff back home. 4. Create a mini graveyard for Boyd and Arty and colour them in blue to make it a little tribute for them! 5. Assemble a mini Mob Grinder close to your Mud Hut for extra XP! 6. Construct an AFK fishing farm, as you did on your Minecraft Hardcore series, to gain extra enchanted books if you need them? Apparently that golden apple, if you eat the apple, somewhere it’ll trigger a skulk sensor and that will open a door to a secret room with wool so you don’t need to worry about noise and it’s really OP

Hey, I just want to correct you on the edit and say that the attack can only go 20 blocks and the warden can only use the attack when the player is within those 20 blocks, not to be mean, just to help. ;)

Funfact: Fish can be placed in mangrove vines (bucket of fish) so it could be a fish tank.
