i respect people who are willing to sit down and learn how to play this game but i personally find that overwatch is pretty intuitive but the thing that helps the most is knowing the niche interactions between specific abilities.

I think it hides the mech so it takes less damage before you gain controll

Its explained in hawks video, when you are hugging the wall and call mech, it forces the D.Va to move back, anyone aiming at your head from the side is likely to miss. Essentially a way to prevent you from dying before getting the mech.

When you remech face first into a wall like that your baby form pushes or gets bumped back. So you "hopefully" avoid kill shots/cc that can stop the remech.

To me it genuinely seems like Dva just takes dmg faster than other tanks. Like if you try to attack and 2 people look at you your health drops to critical in a second. So you have to dive in and get close but also basically never be out of cover or not have matrix. This gives every tank an advantage in terms kf team utility because they can actually tank more. I stopped playing Dva even though she was my favorite tank because as i ranked up there just seemed to be very few games where you can play her and not be getting melted constantly.

D.va is one of the biggest tanks and has one of the biggest headshot hitboxes in the game and it can be very easy to telegraph what a D.va is doing if they always fly in straight lines. When you fly in as D.va you need to go for isolated targets that can't escape, you wouldn't charge into the middle of the enemy team as Reinhardt, so you shouldn't do that as D.va. A lot of the time the best play to do as D.va is not to fly in at all and just peeling for your teammates can be enough.

I think you missed things like emongg saying to look back periodically. That advice works at all ranks. You don’t expect supports to position off you generally unless you’re in a 5 stack, even at high rank. Manage your hp and manage YOUR positioning in RELATION to your team. Your comment reveals a mindset that is pretty detrimental in ow but especially so for dva

You forget, the enemy team is the same rank... If your team doesn't play perfectly and makes mistakes, so does theirs. Dive tanks are all about punishing mistakes and forcing 1v1s.

It's a huge advantage when playing tank to have both a sound of teammates and enemies dying

Because it’s how the hero was designed. It doesn’t change as easily as a few numbers. For those of us that play dva it’s also usually what we like about her. I miss tank duos fr

I am not a 6v6 advocator but some heroes didn't translate well when transitioning to 5v5. Some heroes like Reinhardt and Winston got somewhat upgraded abilities while others like Ball and Dva just got numerical buffs instead.

@@josewolf9884 the most fun tanks are rein Zarya dva and monkey. They all play better in a 6v6 format. Zarya is actually so bland in 5v5 it hurts
