I climbed Aconcagua alone from the sea (and back)
My dream was to climb this mountain from sea level. At 6,000 meters I realised I couldn't do it.
In January 2024 I set out to climb Aconcagua from the Pacific Ocean in Chile, to the summit, and back. A 500km journey in total.
This film documents my experience of attempting to climb one of the 7 Summits. The highest peak in the Andes mountains.
The walk was difficult, but the real challenge only started when I reached Plaza de Mulas.
This crazy journey is only the first of 7.
My end goal is to climb each continent'sdaydreamed highest mountain (the 7 Summits) from sea level, and back to sea level.

Awesome stuff guys and congrats on the huge milestone. Unfortunate for Viv though I'm sure she was on the top in spirit. Your teamwork and support for each other is second to none. Overcoming the mental battle on this mountain is the hardest task, glad you persevered and gave it another crack. It's often these dark moments that give us insight about ourselves and what we are truly capable of. I certainly don't miss the hurricane winds or freezing temperatures of Aconcagua! Cheers for filming your journey, it's no easy feature expressing your thoughts on camera especially when fatigued and battling with the elements and altitude. Onwards an upwards!

I’m surprised you didn’t get any comments saying that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent. I know Geography classes in certain other countries teach people that Denali & Aconcagua are on the same continent.
It's SO important the people that cheer you up to try to succeed, they believe in you more than yourself at that point. Something something similar happened to me, in a hole other level in a thru hike. Great video! Happy for you! Will keep following the adventures 👍🏻
