I cleaned up OIL SPILLS for major profit!
Ойындар
Spilled! is a super cute ocean clean up game where you can upgrade your ship and rescue animals whilst cleaning oil spills. I've been following this for a while and think it's turned out great so far, but if you want to help make it even better then check out the kick starter before it ends!

You can tell the difference between an alligator or crocodile by whether it sees you later or in a while.

Matt with a large pixel-art of a swan: "Is that a pigeon?" Also Matt: lasers in on four pixels because they could be knob-shaped. He doesn't have bad eyesight, just knobs for brains.

In my experience, black swans are more chill. They let me take pictures of them while the white ones harassed even the flock of black swans.
Sometimes I imagine game developers coming to Matt, asking to show the game that they have and Matt is like "I have only one question. Is there a bridge?"

As a farmer I hate littering too, fields get covered in it because we are alongside a touristy road, can see the McDonalds and burger king wrappers from where they come off the motorway, worrying amounts of alcohol cans that I have seen slice sheep's legs open when they tear apart, even a small amount of litter can harm sheep/cows if they try and eat the wrong things, happened too many times before. The other is people releasing balloons, picked 20 balloons out of fields this year trying to make hay
I actually love how this game looks and what its about. There really should be more games like this that make such big problems more... well... pleasant in a good way. And as a fellow dutchie this makes me very proud

Meanwhile it made me want to see realistic games that'd actually show how difficult such things really are. Not saying this one's bad, but y'know.
We need to see a level where you unlock a submarine that attaches to your ship, just make sure it isnt made by Ocean Gate. The sub would be used to go back to previous levels to do more clean up.
I worked a temp job cleaning up an oil spill a few years ago. You don’t hear much about the “little” ones. We had to set lines along the shore with like sponges to hood and trap the oil. It was interesting
As a very small child, my American family went to England. We saw the royal black swans. One came over and hissed at me, I was like 4. It was behind a like 2 foot shrub, but it had wandered ten feet over directly toward me, and hissed. I knew I was safe from evil swan, so I hissed back. One of the guards (the swanshave their own guards, wtf?) yelled at me, but it wasn't a posh English accent that I could understand at 4, it just sounded like guttural blabbering, so I started crying. I bet that swan was friends with Fred. The guard too. Jerks.
Love it when you play indie games. Get to see the full engineering brain on display.
so funny how matt is blown away by a 2x multiplication every time
Matt's ability to be amazed every time the price doubled was impressive.
Loved the pixel art of this game very nicely done!
those pink walls are probably some sort of playable area visualization, to make sure you can't sail off into the ground by mistake or something
This was so satisfying to watch! Id love to see a zoom out of all the areas cleaned! But the details are very cute
Matt is almost as good at identifying 2D animals as he is at identifying 2D fruit.
and yet, this games more complete and feature rich than most AAA releases these days

It's cool to be environmentaly friendly! Don't spill your liquid guys. Also, for some reason I noticed that the 'Bridge Reviews' are from May 03.2018, 5:41PM. What is the significance of that date? Did Matt start his reviews then? Can we get an updated version or am I beeing greedy.

The only thing that you should be allowed to just toss on the ground is stuff like apple cores and uneaten food. (Even then, do it in the woods or some plant bed, somewhere where it will be broken down)
"honestly possesed by the devi-" *Ad plays*
Can't wait for the first DLC where all oil spills, rock formations, fish, mountains, and bottle-clumps are knob-shaped.
"We're in a snowy area, that's cool" 😂
Littering annoyes me as well, but a lot of that comes from working landscaping. Hated doing fast-food joints, because of the amount of litter... Even though they provide garbage cans all over the place.
Your black swan sounds like every Canada goose I have encountered with a nest
@mpdavis731
2 ай бұрын
My wife and I befriended a nesting pair by leaving bird seed for them - the nest was on the other side of a small pond, so they didn't feel threatened. After hatching, they let us hand feed the babies while they stood watch with their backs to us. They make a very cute sound, and LOVE raw oatmeal (but they shouldn't have too much, is more like a treat).
This game maybe was made with you in mine, Efficient mushrooms, good looking bridges and the VOID
The editor is and will always be, on point with the laughs. 😂
A new rce video is exactly what i needed right now 😁 thanks matt for always finding these cute and clever games to showcase
this is such an incredible game with an equally amazing art style! cant believe one person made this by themselves
All the trash was a big problem at one of the rivers where I used to live then my friends and I started a group we called are self river trash krew and we would have fun swim and stuff but also go around picking up trash some times give the recycling to bums so they could get food and that still do this like once a month except in winter lol but we try it up to the people to keep are places of recreation clean
I used to rescue swans. We would catch them and put them in duffle bags. Imagine an angry bag with a long noodle neck, honking and being held by you as you carry said angry honking bag….I do miss my Netherlands bird rescue days!
I am loving this pixel shader the dev's got

We call those swans Satawns. LOL Crocodile- Swamp Kitty Alligator- Swamp Puppy
In Dutch we say: LEKKERE VROUW.
There are a pair of black swans that come to a marshy area next to an intersection nearby my house every year, sometimes with some other adolescents, and they have a lil clutch of goslings that are absolutely adorable. I don't think they're a domestic variety lol
How do the controls work? Steer left and right and accelerate or do you just use an analog stick to push in the direction you want to go?
I feel like the editor missed a great oppertunity for "who's that pokemon" with Matt calling out random animal names 😂
That water cannon does looks very efficient. And it has efficient angle too
This is your mandatory Peer Pressure segment: You should attempt a game of "Plan B Terraform" - sci-fi colony builder sim - to prove yourself capable of engineering on barren planet at strategic level!!
RCE sees a bird RCE: Is this a pigeon?
Yeah, perfectly understand the swan trauma. Got chased by swans once as a kid when we were swimming at a lake. Beautiful birds, but terrifying up close.
I like this game. I think I’m even more intrigued by the background of the creator and the message of the game.
I've been following this game since very early in the development, so much progress its amazing
That's a real fine little game. Especially for an 1 Persion Project.

Hi Matt, in most of The Netherlands there are pigeons and in my experience, we generally dislike pigeons. While not hating them, if we were to place something in a game to save, it wouldn't be those birdies.
Black swans are from Australia. Fred was probably furious that he was stuck in England.

I think it’s funny how RCE was surprised by the prices every time, but it was literally doubling every time.

Fwiw, we keep our beaches pretty clean in Florida. Picking up trash is instinctual.
I get soo excited when i see a bridge review lmao 😄
I love how the price of the upgrade was just simply doubling every time and every time Matt is just completely shocked by the new price
Matt, can you save the clips of all of the bridge reviews for the year, and at the end of the year have a Bridges in Review 2024 compilation?
this game dev do much more for the environment than just stop oil movement 👏👏👏
Oh, I saw the developer of this on Threads. They seemed nice.

If I would ever become a game dev, even if it would make no sense, I would put a bridge into my game just so RCE has something to review (or is he only playing games with at least 1 bridge in it?) Probably also would add something very efficiently shaped just because I can
Good job on saving the otter matt
9:51 RCE! You shud totes do a short of this game to promote it, and do a bridge review of this bridge to get us subscribers to watch it... And just show some clips of the game in the background while you talk about your bridge review before givin the final score Its a vid that cud even attract new ppl to your channel, as a good short can give a huge boost from bein shown to a lot more unsubscribed ppl I just wanna see this game succeed :3 Well, and your channel too :3
