She confessed. I have seen many reconciled when you did it right away it may take 1 3 5 years. But doing it will make his heart slowly soft. But he's trust will never be the same the next he feel you cheated or do something it's over.

Treat them like a queen, they will treat you like a servant. Plus see the power of going cold and not playing the pick me game.

When she asked, what could she do to "fix" it? Build a time machine, go back in time, and don't cheat. IOW, nothing. The fact that he had to ask her to do things like block the guy she fucked and delete her social media instead of doing it herself tells you everything you need to know about her "remorse" and sincerity. The reality is she isn't worth loving again, and in fact, wasn't worth loving in the first place.

There’s so many stories/confessions like this out there, it’s made me completely give up hope. I know there’s good women out there, but they are far outnumbered by the garbage I’d have to sift through to find them, so it’s not even worth me wasting my time.

But because you confessed early it has a chance and also if ever you and he will need to move on it will be easier because you tried and didn't dodge accountability. come on, she made a mistake but she repented and immediately confessed, she showed him her repentance. some points of the letter are acceptable but then, either you forgive her and slowly start to rebuild or you leave her. punishing is fine, but for how long?
