It would be kind of funny if you added a rare chance for a "defective" or dud creeper to spawn. It would run up to you and hiss, but then just fizzle and follow you unless another explosion sets it off. Those brave enough to run head first into random creepers can get a free pet.

I played a mod pack where something was making the creepers made a tiny harmless fireworks pop when exploding. Let me tell ya those dud punks love jump scares.

This’d be even worse if Creepers could change their colors to blend in with their surroundings as a defense mechanism or something

the ideal surprise would be to make so they dont follow you unless youre looking away, so they ONLY sneak up on you from behind, never knowing when they will strike

@@toasterhavingabath6980 Nuclear fission results from chain reactions. Uranium-235 is desired because, while other radioactive isotopes release a neuron, U-235 releases three. Then the neuron hits another radioactive isotope (hopefully U-235 if one wants the nuke to be effective) and... Chain reaction. Like the creepers that generated over 1000 other creepers when they died.

A change I’ve seen made to creepers is making it so they are silent, and only explode once in your line of vision. It makes it so scary just turning around and seeing a few creepers right up in your face about to blow up

I like some of the changes, particularly the TNT parity. Will there be a version up without the speed/aggro/light-level-irrelevance changes? Those just seem obnoxious for the point of "fuck you LUL" unless you're a masochist, so it'd be nice to have a version without that aspect.

The idea was just to mess around with dumb fun and try stuff with the code, not really to make an actually useful mod. The tnt parity changes were already part of an older mod of mine called Reactive Creepers, but it wasn't really popular.

Oh goodness. That means there's a "critical mass" of creepers that could go nuclear. Making it 10% instead of %100 just means it takes 10 times more creepers. Probably more then that to be honest. But now I just want to play with these creepers and see if I can get enough in one place using minecarts to destroy the world.

I believe that as long as the chance for a creeper to be a duplicating creeper isn't bigger, than the inverse of the amount of creepers that a duplicating creeper spawns, then a nuclear explosion can't occur. In a nutshell, as long as an average amount of duplicating creepers to spawn from a duplicating creeper explosion is is below 1, a chain reaction can't occur. This is because if on average less than 1 duping creeper spawns from the explosion, for each wave of the explosions there will be less duping creepers. Because of that the explosion will be losing in strength over time. Also, as long as the criteria above are met, I assume the critical mass of creepers to be around 3-4 duplicating creepers in one spot.

The random fuse should just be 0.3 seconds long so you can have that “oh sh**” moment but not protect yourself

It's a mixed bag of things I like and things I'm too scared to look directly at. Next time, make them crawl on the walls and ceiling. The Caves need to be scarier, and raining Creepers should do the trick. How do you do your Mods??

With creepers being made of plants, and one theory suggesting that they spread through spores.. It does mean that, yeah, no where is safe. _The spores might've already been here, whether or not you just loaded the chunk._

Last bit reminds me of the Pain Chain UHC Nestor tried to do, which ended up with the entire server dying after the 20th death because he doesn’t understand how exponential growth works.

What I feel is one of the most horrifying things about this, isnt how fast they are, the charged creepers becoming more common, but its the fact that you can give however creepers you see fit, levitation, so if things are timed just right, it can rain creepers and charged creepers on you or your friend

Powered redstone should also prime the creepers.

Would be cool to see a mod that would make some blocks "dislodge" out of their locations instead of breaking when explosions occur next to them (bedrock, end frame, obsidian, end portal, end gateway, nether portal, netherite block, etc. would stay in their locations)

Another fun addition to this is the creeper jumpscare mod, creepers won't trigger until you look at them, meaning you will always get jumpscared by them as they hiss in your face. And of course, you have a random amount of time to react... Good luck!

this would actually be really helpful in some cases if you are playing with randomized drops

We really need a mod that causes mobs to siege you in some way. Nothing that completely breaks the game, but something that makes it more challenging. Zombies horde around your base, creepers charge into your walls to destroy them, Endermen move blocks to make paths into your base or teleport inside and open doors, spiders create webs that other mobs can climb up, etc. Would be awesome!

Your charged creepers charging other creepers gave me an idea: what if you made a pokerus mod for hostile mobs? Basically, mobs have a 1in 500 or so chance to spawn in with a minecraft virus that makes them faster, stronger, and regen health slightly. Mobs within a 5 block radius have a %chance to also get infected, with the chance increasing the closer they are. Players either couldn't get infected, or get hurt when infected. Also maybe add some stuff like a new drop or relevant potion mechanics.

I think that because they're plants, they shouldn't be this fast. If you consider their feet as roots... I think they should actually be slower than actual in-game creepers. After all, they creep.

I would also make charged creepers act like Stalkers from Ultrakill, they would run at uncharged creepers and explode. I would also have them be affected by resistance... Ah yes, blessed stalkers. Gotta love infinite kaboom.

there is a very simple way to stop creepers from harrasing you in the forrest. I'll give you a tip. They explode around fire, and you just need a rock and a piece of metal.

Suggestion:charged tnt, when tnt is lit up by a lightning strike, it does twice the damage (both to entites and blocks) just like charged creepers, and just like the charged creepers, its explosion causes mob to drop their heads

But lets say a 4x Creeper hits a normal creeper, it "only" becomes a 5x Creeper (because "normals" only have a 1x charge)
