    @@dyw__ yeah but smallant has doodoo luck. im glad that whenever smallant gets stupid unskillful rng, its in matches where it literally doesn't matter. like his game vs linkus where he just got stupid nonstop luck and at that point it didnt really matter since the game as uneven and doomed from the start. not something where its back and forth and both sides have actual skill but then all of a sudden someone gets fucking braindead luck and gets like 4 goals handed to them in what otherwise would be a very good actual SKILL BASED match. obviously there's nothing you can do and this shit is gonna happen every now and then but fuck if it isn't so uninteresting and boring to watch something and being super into it only for it all to crumble and go to shit within 5 minutes of stupid braindead luck (no matter who's side its on ofc, im not dickriding ant for this specific case) 90% skill attained goals and then 10 maybe 20% MAX luck attained goals FOR BOTH PARTIES is what makes the absolute sweet spot for these kinds of games. because 1 or 2 dumb luck goals by party X isn't the end of the world, and just makes it taste sooo much sweeter when party Y gets those 1-2 dumb luck goals in the future. but yeah obviously it's not something you can control, but im just glad the way it turned out that ant's games (ive watched about 90% of the lockout streams/twitch vods) end up being overwhelmingly skill based victories, and the way that the times he DOES win because of luck, it just goes so fucking stupidly overboard that the other person cant even get/be salty bc the game was doomed from the start and at that point its just funny to see just how far the luck can go, just like linkus just laughing it off bc he didnt get assfucked by rng after essentially wasting 40 mins playing a skillful match only to lose in the stupidest way possible. sidenote is also why i really enjoyed watching the pokemon randomisers, because its 1:1 so even tho 1 side can get 'lucky' and find the first 3 gyms back to back, player 2 is eventually gonna reach that point and then catch right back up, which makes the excitement at an all time peak and is so fucking nice to watch. everybody loves gambling, its literally just human nature, so having these kinds of 'controlled luck' games are so fucking great because its just guaranteed 'rush' from getting some sick luck, except it doesn't actually hurt anyone, bc the other person can get just as lucky/the same situation luck all at once as well (which in turn makes THEIR viewers start pagging so hard oh fuck stepbro im gonna pog im pagging so hard, fuck sake pointcrow poisoned my mind)

    I think it wasn't smart to try crafting a ender chest because that doesn't set them anywhere. They should have probably not try to get that achievement at all at that point. But somehow, SmallAnt literally pulled a Dream on Illumina. (Unless there was another specific way, they couldn't have grabbed one from the End cities because you need Silk Touch to collect one, otherwise they would only get obsidian from it.)

  • @eddiemate

    @eddiemate

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@qgdm6426 Honestly I disagree, I think Illumina making the ender chest was the best play with the knowledge he had. Because of the Eye Spy advancement, Illumina knew Smallant was in the stronghold and would probably be looking for the portal to work on the end goals (which if it were true, Illumina would've theoretically lost the end goals race). Since there's no chests with obsidian there, especially not as close together as Illumina's were, why would Illumina think Smant could've been able to get 8 obsidian after him *and* craft the chest before him? It was just unfortunate that Smallant made a play that great.

  • @qgdm6426

    @qgdm6426

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@eddiemate I should have been more specific, because of the "don't obtain obsidian goal", Illumina was wasting time trying to craft a ender chest because he was required to collect obsidian to craft it. So what he was doing at that time was giving SmallAnt a point in order give himself a point.

    At first I thought SmallAnt was in over his head, he's literally jumped from lockout bingo with friends to facing the best Minecraft speedrunner ever, and that point where it was 7 to 11 and when he got destroyed by Illumina's lava placement seemed to confirm that for me. But seeing SmallAnt's genius comeback, especially that play with the enderchest, was aweing to see. The fact that he only really lost because of a missplay and Illumina's insane luck is crazy, and I fully beleive he could win upon a rematch. Great job on both sides!

    I mean the score was 7 - 11 because illumina got dream luck he got diamonds super easily, found bastian super easily, the piglins didn't trade him obsidian, the lava lake didn't set him on fire he found a woodland mansion 1 of the rarest structures and it happened to have 1 of the rarest rooms and finally he got end city before smant though smant had been looking for much longer. I remember watching this live. I've never seen SmallAnt as distressed as when he was punching his way out to get his stuff back. And then, miraculously, it seemed like he would actually win against all odds ... only for the RNG to screw him over in the end. It was a rollercoaster of emotion.

    I really enjoy the way you narrate and explain these challenges. Most of these videos are usually a potpouri of edited clips that - even though you can still understand what's going on - don't add anything, they just end up being dopamine fuel for the human short attention span. But watching the edited version with the well-told story, that's worth it.

    That was some god-tier unlucky RNG only smallant's part. Smallant had bad luck on: finding villages, finding diamonds, finding glow berries, AND finding Leather in shipwrecks. Illumina got lucky with: A random zombie villager, the rarest structure in minecraft, the right bastion to have lodestone, 8 obsidian in a chest, AND after all that he had better luck at finding an end city. It's frankly astounding on smallant's part the race was even as close as it was.
