I challenged Gordon Ramsay to a STEAK battle!
Ойын-сауық
The most popular chef in the world is Gordon Ramsay, I like to say we are both friends. You can clearly see how much he loves me on the beggining of this video. Today I formally challenge him to a steak cook off. Chef Gordon lets do this!

Its fake because Ramsay was NOT told to cook the steaks on a charcoal grill, thus the experiment is already biased by CHOOSING taste testers who prefer charcoal grilling and ONE of them gives that away in all honesty after the 2nd taste, saying "......Its missing charcoal...." Means no matter what, HIS choice would be charcoal flavor amongst all others, BUT he did not have opportunity to taste Gordon's steak, cooked by Gorden, on a charcoal grill.

@TheOriginalFaxon
12 күн бұрын
they have choice like that at whole foods pretty regularly tbh. better even lol. I've gotten some "choice" steaks that looked prime or better there before. Also from what I understand, the USDA is the one doing the grading, not the butcher
@lunova6165
12 күн бұрын
Just like Wagyu all meats from choice, to angus, to prime, etc. Places such as Walmart and Aldis pick the lowest quality possible then charge the highest premiums as they possible can.
@silvershroud166
10 күн бұрын
IDK if you have a Publix anywhere near you, but I find VERY nice choice cuts there all the time. Most are just your standard choice, but a few are prime quality and since cattle aren't graded by the cut they get some good steaks. I have never looked into where they source their beef from, but those ranchers are doing it right.
Honest feedback here - good video and I'm always a fan of the channel. I watch at least most episodes that hit and have tried my share of the recipes. I honestly don't like how there have been several videos where the headline implies that he's up against Gordon Ramsay and each time it's just a solo video. Really not a huge deal but it's one of those things KZreadrs do that I think a lot of people aren't huge fans of. Otherwise good content as always

@AngrySmasher

@sirlost94 not to be difficult or pushy but I don't believe that. This is a case of them both having too much to lose. If Guga were to lose a cook-off to Gordon then he'd lose massive credibility as KZread's steak guy, and if Gordon lost a cook-off to Guga then Gordon, being one of the most well known chefs in our culture, just lost a cook-off to a KZreadr. Behind the scenes they are both aware of this so I don't think either is really willing to do any direct competing or any content that had one coming out ahead of the other. Maybe a team up where they're friendly at best and there's a convenient tie at the end or something at very best
Love your videos guga! As someone who keeps kosher, watching your videos fills me with a deep appreciation for your cooking, but also ways to replicate your dishes without any dairy. What would you recommend as alternatives for your dairy ingredients? Would you prepare different styles of steak or accept slightly different flavor profiles?
I quite enjoyed seeing all of these different versions of a similar dish. You should definitely do more experiments like this where it's less of an experiment and more simply comparing different versions of the similar thing to see which you prefer and why.
Chef Ramsay is getting better with the years. Because he got milder. More relaxed. I think these yt challenges are awesome

Even here in 2024, where Gordon's TV shows are leaning into grilling, he still prefers gas grills. Hell, remember that one time when Gordon went to cook a cheese sammich in a cast iron skillet next to an open wood fire, and he burned it black? I love Gordon, but Gordon just can't do direct flame or charcoal-fired cooking. Maybe that's just something the Imperials lost, while those of us born in the Americas grow up learning. Bro the editor really GOATED with the commentary part 🤣
I want to see a real challenge. A head to head, Guga vs Ramsay. 💪
Hey Guga! Will all due respect, you can not call this video a “Challenge”, and here’s why: you are deliberately trying to make your version of a steak dinner more impressive looking in every way then Gordon’s, giving it all you’ve got. In the meantime, you are taking a good half a day to do so. But you forget to mention that Gordon’s video was called literally “Gordon Ramsay Cooks Up a Simple Steak Dinner with Fries!”. A Simple steak dinner! And he took like literally 12 minutes to cook it, not 4 hours! The real challenge would be yourself and Gordon cook the same style of a steak dinner, simple or elaborate - I don’t care - and also timing your efforts. Because this is where a good chef will shine - efficiency. Let’s go Guga! Can’t wait!
@virplexer1428
11 күн бұрын
since chef Ramsey is not here, yeah the challenge part is def for the clicks. Guga did give Ramsey’s a nice cut of Wagyu and gave himself a choice grade steak, so it helps, but we all know unless they go head to head in person with rules and maybe some more neutral judges there really isn’t a way for it to be fair.

"Just name a place and time and I will be there in the next hour" ... be careful of what you're wishing for, Gordon could say Tokyo just to get a win by default since Guga can't get there in 1 hour 🤣
I really want you to try how my family makes our steak. We get the whole slab of ribeye. Then leave it in the fridge for a week. Then we take it out and cut it up and vacuum seal them, and put them in freezer for 2 weeks. Then when we take them out to eat them after doing that. We season them lightly with Montreal on both sides and then season it heavily on both sides with Dux wild game. Hope you try it out since this is my family’s favorite way to eat steak.

While sitting on donkeys.
For those that want to buy gugas vacuum sealer at Walmart, before you leave the parking lot, open it and make sure it’s not broken, I went back to there twice because the two I bought were broken, but the third one works perfectly. Not sure if I grabbed one that got dropped or if it was during shipping
Ramsay stresses me out Gugas voice is friendly and comforting
Gordon Ramsay be ready and guga be ready he doesn't play
Can we please, please get a Gordon and Guga collab? Please make this happen!!! The two big G's in one video, can you imagine?!
Hey Guga, what cooktop do you use?
Hey Guga.. I want to see you Dry Age some beef of you’re choice in BOVRIL. It’s a BEEF & YEAST extract made in the UK. Love to see how that would turn out. Add hot water to one GOOD teaspoon for one of my favorite Savory drinks. 👌🏻🏴
I'd love to see that showdown happen. And to make it even better have @mrnigelng be the judge and have the prize be a chance for Gordon Ramsay to earn his Uncle title back or if Guga wins then he gets promoted to SENSEI Guga. Because I fully believe that Guga deserves the Sensei title.
Cant wait for Gordon. Make it happen!
