I Caught the Town Centre BEAST! (Fishing dream come true...) 😯

Ойын-сауық

Fishing a TOWN CENTRE for the monster fish that live here - and catching a PB! I've been after this fish for a very long time, and it has finally happened! Winter lure fishing starts now, and I seem to have stumbled across the perfect fishing lure for the colder weather. Most of the perch fishing i've done has been in summer using things like paddle tail jigs, so this is completely new to me. What a huge success though!
If you enjoyed this perch fishing video please consider subscribing, it really helps me out! Drop a like too if you can and comment below, I really appreciate it! As always, thanks for watching and hopefully i'll see you here for the next one!

In Australia we call them Red Fin, and they are classified an invasive species that can not be released when caught. They can grow upwards of ten pounds in some water ways and make good eating. Looked like you had a lot of fun George, that's what it's all about.

  • @adventurefishinguk

I knew you had them over there but I didn’t know they needed to be killed! We have a similar rule with Zander, they’re supposed to be killed but no one does. Do people ignore the rules and put perch back? I didn’t know they got to 10lb that’s crazy!

I have never caught redfin in the Murray river anywhere near ten pounds, those big fellas were caught in irrigation drainage lakes. that were not easily accessed. The water that filled the lakes had been drawn from the Murray river transported via open cut channels to irrigate properties then drained in those lakes. I have also caught them to that size in major water reservoirs and compounds that were constructed to hold vast amounts of water for town and city domestic use.@@KZreadTookMyNickname.WhyNot

G'day mate . I live in Australia and am an avid lure fisherman . We have the redfin perch here as well but I love the Assie bass . I don't use jigheads , as they snag way too much in the places I fish . So I use an offset worm hook , and a small running ball siinker . Its basically snagless . Saves a lot of gear . 👍✔🎣

Wonder if its worth looking for Weedless jig heads to try n combat the snag issues. And Ive found when using softplastics on a jig head like those that they work or fish better on sumthing like a Palomar loop knot rather than the knot being right up on the hook eye.
