RNLI say they get called out by Coastguard. Lifeboats do not judge those they are called on to rescue, their status, their motives for being on the water, or what brought them into danger. They do not get refunded for these 'rescues'. RNLI do not know the costs for these individual rescues!

RNLI should send an inshore dinghy to check, not assist a boat making way under its own steam and in no danger. If it is the same coastguard calling they should get the same sentence of those who constantly call the emergency services. When a British person drowns or dies at sea, and the lifeboat is too busy, can't be far away.

Probably Soldiers many of them waiting until they have the numbers over here to kick off all over the UK.

It's not the Royal Navy. Border force are civvy police under the Home office, they have nothing to do with the military. Things would be different if the RN were involved.

Here in Finland it was calculated that one economic migrant during their lifetime here has a net gain on average MINUS 1 million euros for the country in money from working and every benefit taken. So one ship escorting that boat is a bargain in long term for France if they get rid of em
