I caught the biggest carp in the stretch- Escaping London 1
Since moving to London my passion for angling has grown more and more each year. However it goes without saying that every now and again, it's nice to escape the city rush and enjoy angling in a more peaceful surrounding. Throughout this series I'll be making my way to a variety of countries visiting a whole hosts of venues. From canals and rivers, to huge public lakes, I plan to explore them all. For want of a better term I'm 'Escaping London"

I also don't drive due to disability so i have limited venues and get out once in a blue moon because of transport. I would love to see what gear you take and how you scale down to cater for walking to venues etc, do you have a video on your gear and how you deal with not having a car. Thanks
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
The swim dosnt always hold the same fish, carp have been known to move upto a mile or 2 in a day. Once i followd a carp with a float attacted to its mouth around a mile in a few hours. They normally do return to their favorite spots, but just because it was caught there or seen there dosnt mean thats its favourite spot all will even return

I understand your point and would also agree in most cases. However in this case the lock was decommissioned so the fish were trapped in the stretch for the foreseeable.
great footage, can you advise what fishing permits were needed? thanks
My pal caught it before you and only tuk him few hours 👍🏻 Well done

That 41pound fish has past away this week on my local (small) canal 😞 that fish was living there for almost 40years
Your sling probably weighs about 4 so ild say a solid 37lb still far play what a beast bro 👏

So you take your bait with you to france I've just had 160kg of bait seized by the French customs this year they even wouldn't us let have the buckets back they said they was contaminated 😢 even took the particules, they said there was no ingredients listed on the label so had to take them, that was at St Malo port 🙈🙈
@jacoblondoncarper4857

It’s a risk, sorry to hear you had that happen. 160kg is a hell of a lot, we only took about 40kg.

Yea it was 3 pal's bait it was a nightmare 😢 but we still caught and had a good time so like you said it's a risk you take been every year since brexit, and never had a problem, just unlucky this year

People's bait not pal's lol
I've seen Proper British Carp 45lb-55lb in St Catherine's dock, where they film Good Morning Britain.... No Fishing though...lmao... Every morning on my break whilst doing building work on the nearby "Thistle Hotel", I've fed Carp that can swallow half a Ginster's pastie in one gulp.. I couldn't care less what you can catch in another country.

@@jacoblondoncarper4857 I'm so sorry I wasn't aware it was a crime to confuse you. My point was/is that I find it ironic that the one place in London where there are several huge 45lb+ Carp in plain sight, you can't fish!

@@Tony-gu4szwhat has that got to do with Jacob like? Your talking shit. he’s not even fishing in London in the video.

i look forward to watching some carping without getting products rammed down my throat
Throws £50 of bait in a spot he might not fish. Hasnt brought a new £1 phone charger... 😂😂
Turned off when I heard they escaped London to go France to catch a specific carp from a specific spot etc. God how bogus is modern carping? Do some pioneering soft lads
@jacoblondoncarper4857

Sadly the pioneering spots are few and far between. When there’s a 50lber in a small stretch of canal it’s worth a stop off. Doesn’t mean it was the sole intention of the trip🤛🏻
