Isn’t it sad how the cheater will always come up with the statement that “I didn’t mean for it to happen “. “It’s meant nothing. Best you found out before you were married. Cut your losses. “I’m sorry “. They weren’t sorry when they were screwing were they? Remember never forgive a cheater because it’s only time before they cheat again.

Well as bad as the discovery of betrayal by your friend and the woman yo promised to marry was. You found out before the wedding and saved yourself a lot of hassle. Thi wasn't a "mistake" that was fixable or one "I never meant to happen." It was a mutual choice by both of them in full knowledge of how you would feel if you found out.
