Great content Dan, I love that you tag your fish. I have a question, when you release those big mamas, do you ever worry about a shark coming up to grab them? When I caught that 35” red a couple of weeks ago, that thought kept crossing my mind. Lol

Awesome man! Is there a particular part of the sound with certain types of structure you look for or do you look for "highways" where the fish move up and down the waterway? Also, what advantage does a crimp have over a swivel if the knots used on a swivel are done correctly. This is the best time of the year! Luv it!

Look for the highways. Crimps are faster to attach than swivels for me. Gets me back out faster.

lmao last Sunday my I caught a tiny croaker on the tybee and my lil bro decided to throw it on a shark rig. 1hour later he reels it up and he head a small blue fish on it somehow manage to get his hook in its head. it mange to eat the croaker tail tho

Not sure about the bulls. Haven’t fished in almost 2 weeks. 5ft total leader, (5 inches below weight) crazy Alberto knot.

Hello Sir, what do you think about the knocker rig that I can use? Because I am a beginner and I fish with the carolina rig and dropper loop rig. Thanks🙋♂️

Yes use a knocker rig. Just tie a short 5” piece of leader with a plastic bead in between the line to leader knot and lead weight, that was the lead weight doesn’t run all the way up the line (defeating the reason to use a knocker rig)

@@gavinqb7504 that happened last year too I think. They need (IMO) to push the tournament to Nov 1 when they are thick as fleas.

@@gavinqb7504 Negative. 1st - 3rd places and youth were paid out. Saturday was definitely slow, I think more were caught on day 2
If you catch a legal size red that’s tagged, can you keep it ?

Yes you can keep it, just report the tag number, fish length and the other data points to DNR.

Bulls come inshore in the fall and Spring to spawn.
