I carry a dead man with me all the time...

I've carried a deadman with me for years. It's an invaluable recovery tool. They grabbed me at expo west to show me their new design - it's super slick!

Can you tone down the bass? It might sound ok in small ear buds, but it is PUNISHING on my home stereo and even in my mediocre car stereo.

A demo of it in action would have been nice. Still didn’t get the whole concept. With that said, I’m not the sharpest tool in the… neither.

You dig a hole and throw it in and bury it. Then connect winch line to the straps and winch out. Kind of how you can use a spare tire or big log or something in a similar way. Or, wrap around a boulder, tree, etc and winch off of it.

@@Jtwizzle that makes sense. Does it work for sand. Like if I go to the dunes?

@@DurisM yea it does. Theres actually a video somewhere of the inventor purposely getting stuck on the beach as the tide comes in to prove you can use this to self recover fast enough to save the truck pretty cool

@@DurisM Yes just have to go deeper like you may in mud or other softer materials. Maybe even up to 3 foot deep(which is a lot of work)! ..but it can get it done.

How about getting some vehicles stuck and then let's see if this even works. Talk is cheap and video talk even cheaper. Get out in some real world mud and ruts or deep sand and demonstrate. I will stick with what really works,,,, Yankum.

Maxx Powell did a vid about a year or so ago in some nasty mud. It worked but it takes some effort to really make sure its anchored enough, at least in certain conditions. A pul pal type anchor is what I would prefer in most cases but this is way more light and portable. Pros and cons to each.
