It's been 3 months since the upload, so I hope by now someone told you what the bubbles popping meant. Idk if anyone said it so i'll It's pure symbolism. That's all it is. Each bubble was 1 SH member. Last bubble was Luffy. The bubbles popping meant at that moment the SH member was blasted off by Kuma. Kuma blasted the SH crew off to different islands to save them from a desperate situation, plus the war was drawing closer. Ironically Luffy came back in a very short amount of time just to see Kuma again, who's full cyborg with no personality or will of his own. Marineford saga was peak fiction.

And obviously Busoshoku wasn't a part of the series either because otherwise Shanks could have prevented his arm get bitten off by the Lord of the Coast. It's easy to say that it was Haki AFTER Haki was actually introduced into the story but until up Sabaody it weren't an exisiting thing. Remember Enies Lobby and Skypiea? The body hardening of the CP-9 was called Rokushiki and Kenbunshoku has been kown as Mantora previously. Sabaody was a very freestyle arc, Oda said that in a bunch of interviews. Alot of the characters and plot points of the series weren't present until that specific arc. Things like the Tenryūbito, Haki, the Supernovas, Pacifista and the fact that Devil Fruit users did no longer name their Devil Fruits when using them for the first time were new introductions/changes. There were no foreshadowing for either one of these.

"Need more One Piece" Oh boy, you will have a rough time when you catch up. Get ready for that depressive state when you watch other animes and unconsciously compare them to One Piece. Its a problem and I have had this condition. Being bored of watching anything else, because it cant compare to One Piece. I would still watch an anime and enjoy it but it would just leave me unsatisfied and ultimately go back to One Piece. Making me stuck in a loop of rewatch after rewatch, not that I didn't enjoy it but still. Having this around for the entirety of my life has been such a blessing and also a curse that makes me reject anything else. Been watching since I was 10 and now I'm 23. Know that you will become that "annoying friend whos addicted to One Piece and keeps recommending it to me." Because everytime they give it a chance, and they turn. @@carlosalford I get where you coming from but you kinda missed his point. I have this same issue. It’s like one piece has set a standard in terms of storytelling and world building that other anime lacks you kinda feel disappointed. The only other anime/manga like that is HxH and we all know why that’s fanbase so desperately wants it to come back. In current shonen I love black clover and the characters but I somehow feel if it was done like one piece it would be in the upper echelons of anime/manga. There’s so much potential for character development and world building. That’s why I love Licht as a character because his backstory was well fleshed out over the course of 2 episodes and he’s a badass

I feel the same way bro. I follow 3 different youtubers who react to one piece, they’re at different stages but I tune in every time. I love this fucking show. Can’t get enough. And I’m also caught up with the manga. And one piece isn’t even my fav anime/manga, HxH is. I don’t rewatch episodes of one piece but I rewatch them with reactors just so I can see the tears, joy, confusion and excitement from them.

@@skfrederick5 i didn't miss his point, you did miss mine. There is a limit of colors that one piece shows you, there are other shows that offer different colors, maybe those colors are not as shiny or clean as one piece, but it's up to you to see those other colors, and this is coming from a person who's favorite anime is one piece and would die without a doubt for one piece at any moment. Maybe color is not the right word, try angles, or perspective, maybe all of them.

I love that we see SO MUCH of the Straw Hat's character growth across the course of this crisis. Nami's intro had her biggest flaw being not asking for help. Here, we see her asking for help before she gets sent away. Chopper was always insecure about being a monster, but he didn't give a flying FUCK about turning himself into an actual monster for the sake of his friends. Robin didn't want to die. Sanji's flaw in his intro was that he didn't understand the concept of fighting a losing fight. He felt like it should be easy to just give up on something and survive, but he throws himself at an unwinnable fight here. It's all so amazingly well done!

I also remembered hating the two episode filler after this arc because I was impatiently waiting for the next arc to start 😂 This is also around the time when I decided to catch up with the manga too, as I stopped reading at Little Garden. The two week break between canon arcs was too much I blasted through the volumes. Man, how I love Oda's storytelling - even if he repeatedly rips my heart out every now and then.

Just an FYI sentoumaru is not necessarily his actual nephew... Japanese people use the words brother, uncle and grandpa to refer to people in certain age ranges depending on how close they are (and it can be used respectfully or disrespectfully to someone you like or dislike) sentoumaru calls him uncle being Disrespectful but at the same time like they are close... They still might be related but probably not the case...
