With what you have done the lady will feel more comfortable about getting a Pest Exterminator in to spray/fumigate her Apartment. If this apartment is infested with roaches & spiders this means that the whole apartment building (complex) is infested. Some people might clean & put roach poison etc. but if other people don't then the problem continues.

You didn't fail. You gave a realistic solution to the problem. The steps will have to be done in order. The bug infestation first. Reduce clutter, then clean. It is the only way it will work. You told them the steps. It is up to them to follow through with the steps to clean this up.

Hmmm... except in other videos, Barbie says that extermination can't happen with lots of clutter and garbage still in place because "the bugs hide in the stuff". It's just - too many spiders for her, fine. That's enough. She is a free cleaner who does not do spiders.

You absolutely did the right thing. Why waste your time and energy further when they clearly need an exterminator or to properly lay down poison to address the clear infestation. There’s a point when people need to help themselves too.

Don't feel defeated barbie. Some things are out of our control. And you still made an impact here. You cleaned up as best as you could. And it looked so much better. What the owner needs to do is bag everything up. Cups plates food, everything and bug bomb the place. I have bought the bug bombs that require you to leave the place for 4 hrs. And everything is dead. They work for roaches and spiders. And they are affordable. They need to leave every cabinet in the apartment open as well so the fog gets into the cabinets as well.

Been there, done that. Yes, you do it again a couple of weeks (eggs hatch). There is a poison paste to put out that roaches eat and bring to feed their young (I didn’t know they did that). After the bug bombs, get the paste 👍

I was going to suggest bombs too. They probably can't afford an exterminator. It will take time and a lot of determination but they can get rid of those bugs.

Yay Barbie! I'm so proud of you for walking away from this house. You really have to draw the line someplace! What you did do for them is more than they have ever done for themselves. We are adults & at some point in our lives we must start to act like an adult. The kitchen was horrible & there's no way that I believe the rest of the house doesn't look the same way. If you have bugs in the kitchen, you have bugs in the entire house. These people were taking advantage of your kindness & in my opinion don't deserve your help. You are the best at what you do for others so please don't let not finishing the job discourage you from helping others that truly do need your help. I wouldn't have made it as far as you did. Roaches are darn near impossible to get rid of completely but there are some things that you can do to help the situation. Leaving a kitchen in the state that it was in will only make it worse. Keep on being as sweet & helpful as you are. There are so many others that DO need you & another chance to start over. Thanks! 👍👋💯💛

Don’t ever feel bad about sweeping everything on the floor together, it’s already dirty, it makes sorting quicker, and it helps scatter all the bugs hiding in amongst the items… instead of biting you or crawling up your arms. Barbie you’re an angel. Be very proud of yourself 💕

I used to live in an apartment directly over a trash compactor, and the roach problem was terrible! We did fog the apartment and when we return home there was a CARPET of dead roaches. We lived there for 4 years and the struggle was real. I know you feel defeated, but you did a really good thing here. If they take your advice and deal with the bugs, they will be on their way to a cleaner environment. Those critters are persistent!

Barbie you did your best. You cannot clean amongst roaches and spiders. You did the right thing. I am not judgemental BUT I feel if there are 2 people living there, the one without depression could have done something about the roaches.Barbie, keep doing what you do. You have a heart of gold and you are an angel. Look after yourself so that you do not pick up any diseases.

You are right. They have to fog the whole house or apartment. My cousin had the problem and I sat off a fogger in every room. But you have to fight roaches constantly even after that. The hidden eggs will continue hatching. I finally got rid of his. You did what you could.💕

Will take several months....Over 1/2 a year! As a landlord to many rentals, there is so much an exterminator can do. Especially in an occupied home. I am now fighting them in a New vacant unit! Going on 5 months vacant! We even removed all the electrical outlets, vents, appliances, and sprayed BOMB the attic for the last 5 months! Still there! URGH!! Bless you! Ugh! This is why I called an exterminator when I saw (and crushed) one of those pests in my house (40 years ago). The pest control guy advised us to wait to see if any more appeared because it was "only one" and probably had no friends. We didn't ever see another one, but the worry and fretting about whether there were more setting up shop in the walls stayed with us a long time. You wrote your comment a month ago, so I hope your problem is solved by now. It shows me I was right to be very concerned.

@@BrigitteCoffman Being a landlord really exposes to you the failures that human beings can allow themselves to become. I can't imagine volunteering to live among vermin when the landlord will immediately take care of the problem, free of charge! I don't want to get political, but it is a real shame how landlords all get painted with the "greedy, unfeeling, monsters" paintbrush and become targets for cash-grabbing greedy, unfeeling politicians. Good luck avoiding tenants like the ones that cost you so much time, money, and worry in putting that unit back into "earning its keep" status.

You cleaned the kitchen and made it look better. Plus cleaning takes away some of the food debris that attracts the roaches. Every little bit helps. Don't beat yourself up for not being able to complete the job.

My sweet Barbie don't be so hard on yourself, you really did what you could in this situation. You took the right decision, it was the logic one. Hope they do fix this problem so you can finish what you started. Don't worry you are amazing !!! Stay safe ❤👍🇨🇦

Barbie, You should not feel bad. It's one thing to clean but you are not an exterminator. That wasn't fair for you. They should have told you the bugs were out of control. You did the best you could. ❤

You didn't fail. The people living there need to help themselves a bit in order for this job to be done. They have to put in the effort for themselves. Depression or no depression... I have had depression since the age of 11. And I am a mental health therapist. I've been in both seats. My home has never looked like these but it does get pretty bad at times... little bites at a time is what it takes...for the residents of the home. You are a godsend for folks that need your help.

I’ve said this to you on your previous videos. An exterminator is needed in these places. So glad you walked away from this. You have not failed. Use your talents elsewhere. Continue doing what you do, cleaning and helping. I try to understand people’s issues, depression. But, as adults, especially with children (!), you have to grow up and do what you have to do. Get medical help. Get a service. Ask family. Friends. One step at a time. And things will get better.

90% of the items in this home need to be thrown away, then pest control, and THEN the home can be cleaned. All of the food,dishes,clothing etc, are ruined

One little thing that I learned from my mother, who has always been a great example in my life, when it comes to keeping a home nice and clean. That being said, when the exterminator comes and bombs the house all the dishes and cabinets will need to be washed anyway. Been through it many times. It doesn’t make sense for to put in all that effort to have to redo it when they get an exterminator. Unfortunately there’s lots of places for bugs to shelter when there’s a lot of clutter like that. It’ll take a few times. I wish this family success!

@@doloresgonzalez6961 A lot of times exterminators will tell you that unless you get rid of the clutter and mess, extermination will not be effective, as there are too many places for roaches and spiders to hide and get away from the pesticides. Also, having any food sources, bread bags, cereal boxes, even soaps and garbage, dirty dishes in the sink, etc. feed them. As long as they have a food and water source they will hang around.

Barbie, you did a amazing job. It looked way better then it did. Depression is so debilitating, it steals your life away. I hope this person gets the help they need with their mental health and the bugs and mice..

My mom lives in New York housing and unfortunately it is difficult to contact the authorities for services like mice and roach infestation, painting the walls, plumbing problems, etc. That’s the reality in this apartment buildings I feel sorry for this person I hope she finds the help she needs for her depression and thanks for that wonderful job! God will send you so many blessings for you and your family 👍

I love you Barbie for your attempts at helping folks who are in terrible predicaments due to disability, age related ailments, depression, grief, etc. You also have to take care of you and keep yourself safe. Proud of you!

My fear is of Roaches!! They give me the major hibijibis and I would have run out of that house screaming!!! Well done on staying as long as you did. You are absolutely correct that the roach infestation needs to be dealt with first and considering that there are other people in the house, they need to pull their weight too! You didn't fail, you were honest, and you can only do what you can do! The whole kitchen was so full of these bugs ....ugh!

Yes, in an ordinary place, but the broom is not alowed where there is a risk of infection, biohazard, insect eggs or fungus. Only wet tools, as mopes or clothes, I don't remember the english word now. What a task!...

Ohhh. Infestation, not infection. Yes, they need a professional bug killer business to spray and spray once a month after. Otherwise, they'll never be free of the roaches. Ever! The eggs are in every appliance, nook, and cranny. They'll be continuously hatching and laying more eggs. You did your clients a favor by being honest. Honesty is hard sometimes, but I'm sure you handled it delicately and with love.

Roaches in apartments are pushed from one unit to the next. It’s not always the renters fault.

Just a tip when you work in an infested place with bed bugs and cockroaches. Wear long pants whit long socks then wrap tape sticky side out around your ankles. This will stop the bugs from going all the way up your body. You are so brave for this one.

The other tenant is just undiagnosed with depression, adhd, or something. You did what you could and it's a great starting point. I hope they bomb the unit and ask you back. If not, you did all you could and that is enough 💕

I would add a rule to the assistance you offer if I was you. You need to tell them that you will not attend and clean any home with an active infestation until it's treated. It's simply a waste of your valuable time and resources to clean anywhere that is going to need recleaning over and over again. That level of infestation means every single surface needs cleaning down AND sterillizing before the home is safe and habitable. You tried but I perfectly understand why you didn't continue. I've thought this of others you've done in the past tbh.

I also hope that they’re able to get rid of all the bugs. What you were able to do looks great, despite all the little crawlers messing everything up. When I was living with my ex we had a mouse problem and the only place that was safe from the poop was the cupboards over the counter. Even the silverware drawer wasnt safe. Honestly im glad i left just for not having to rewash my dishes over and over because of mouse droppings

The family failed to be honest with you. They allowed the roaches and spiders to continue to live. They gave up. You cleaned more than all of those people did. Thank you for showing us that if they do not even kill the roaches that there is no way to keep the kitchen clean. You made the kitchen look so much more clean and organized.

The whole building needs to be treated, ideally. The second best thing is to bugbomb that apartment. You were right in your decision. It looked so much better, and if I were them, I'd be happier to be in there.
