I Can't Believe This Is South Korea! 🇰🇷 First Impressions of BUSAN (한국어 자막)
Join us on an enchanting adventure in the heart of Busan, South Korea for the first time! 🌊 Our journey began along the serene coastline of Haeundae Beach, where we enjoyed a unique bird's-eye perspective from the Busan X the Sky observation deck, followed by a delightful beach train ride leading to the Daritdol Skywalk Observatory 🚂 We also managed to explore the bustling traditional market and hipster neighbourhood of Haeridan-gil, where local street food just tastes 10x better! Our day ended against the backdrop of the vibrant nightlife of Gwangalli Beach where strolling amongst the neon and lights took on an entirely new dimension 🌟

In Korea, getting messy around trash cans is considered to damage the view of the city. People take their garbage to their homes. Korean people have become a habit and no one complains about it. Some people throw their trash on the street, but most people don't.
The one of the best contents of the year. Smile from Seoul South Korea!! ^^....b

Thank you so much! It means a lot 🤩
the weather in autumn in Korea is nice, so it's great for observing from the observatory garbage will be disposed of at a nearby convenience facility there are trash cans (toilets and information centers) nearby and in Busan, raw fish is famous but raw fish may not suit your taste.
You might notice only a few public trash cans on the streets in Korea. Because of this, it's a good idea to carry small plastic bags to hold your trash until find a public area with a trash can, such as subway station or a public restroom and ...... If you can't find one, it's common to take your trash home and dispose of it in your own trash can. Koreans take recycling seriously.

We can see - very seriously! Never have we ever been to the country without the trash bins all over the city 🤔

I understand that this can be a challenge for visitors from abroad. From my personal experience, I've had to dispose of my trash at a highway rest area, not in the trash can. Additionally, it's frustrating to have to separate food, plastic, paper, glass, bottles, and aluminum products. It can be overwhelming and stressful. @@JayandKarolina

Such a great tip! Thanks 🙏
As a Korean, I think the reason why it 's hard to find trash bins in here is because we have very strict laws about recycling. And as you know, usually trash bins in public is hard to control. People do not recycle properly. So that is what I guess. Most people in here get used to keep the trash in the pocket or bags and bring it to home.

I am pleased to see you guys having enjoyed Seoul and Busan both cities. While I have been raised and lived in Seoul, Busan is my parents’ hometown and my birthplace. I am enjoying watching your videos and thanks for the videos. Among the other places in South Korea, I want to recommend you to visit ‘Sokcho’ or ‘Jeju-island’ or ‘Gyeongju’. 1) Sokcho is famous for its mountain called ‘Seorak mountain’, and it is also famous for north korean-origin cuisines since lots of north korean defectors during the Korean war came to live there. 2) Jeju island is literally a big volcanic island, which used to be a different country 1000 years ago, you can enjoy many distinctive nature(Oreum hills and beaches and Halla mountain) and foods that you can hardly find in mainland Korea. 3) Gyeongju is an ancient historic city located nearby Busan, I recommend you to enjoy nightview of Anapji pond and Woljeonggyo bridge. There is also a big touristic market street called ‘Hwangridangil’ which is surrounded by large ancient tombs, you can enjoy eating foods or drinking coffees while watching the ancient tombs in the second floor of each buildings. Bulguksa temple, Seokgulam temple, and Cheomsongdae ancient observatory are also famous places to visit in the city.
glad to see you both enjoyed Busan! Loved watching your SK videos :)

I thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos from the time you arrived in Korea to your journey to Busan. I'm glad to see that you're also enjoying Korea, and I feel grateful for that. I'm not sure if you're still in Busan, but if you are, I'd like to recommend some other beautiful places. First, in the northern part of Haeundae, there's Haedong Yonggungsa Temple. In the southern part, there's Taejongdae on Yeongdo Island, and also Igidae. Busan is known for its many mountains, and Geumjeongsan Mountain with Beomeosa Temple, which has a history of nearly 1500 years, is the tallest and most beautiful mountain in Busan. There's also a famous traditional liquor called Sanseong Makgeolli, so I hope you get a chance to try it! I wish you enjoyable and safe travels in Korea in the future.

The reason why it’s so hard to find a trash bin is because “it's a direct result of a well-thought-out policy dating back to 1994 known as the Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) system. Essentially a pollution tax, PAYT necessitates that Seoul inhabitants purchase designated government-issued bags for their trash disposal”

It's Gwangalli beach, not Gwangjalli beach! It seems like the Gwangjang market left a deep impression on you, hahaha. I don't blame you at all! And yes, Busan people are known to be much more relaxed than Seoulites. I think that's what being the second city (not first) does to you. Many people and I also got the same impression in Osaka (compared to Tokyo), Shanghai (compared to Beijing), San Francisco (compared to New York City), etc... As for the UK, I've only been to London, so I can't compare lol.

In Korea, for a long time, in order to keep the streets clean, there are no trash cans on all roads across the country. So, Koreans also carry around the trash they have eaten or drank and throw it in public restroom trash cans or convenience store recycling bins. Convenience stores don't like it if you throw away a lot of it.
In Korea, expectation is that you bring back your own garbage back home to dispose. I would carry a small plastic bag for this purpose. Government sells garbage bags, you can only dispose garbage in such bags. The more you waste, the more you will pay. Also they are super ultra strict about recycling.
