I stated that from all the stories I've come across, including witness statements and from what I feel myself, I believe they did make it. Call it a gut feeling. There are many occurrences in life that there isn't evidence to back up, yet many still believe. If you had a gut feeling about something, I wouldn't be so rude to tell you that you're wrong. I just cannot comprehend how they managed to climb as high as they did with the gear and clothes they had. I so wish they had made it back home. It's not long ago since embarking on a journey to the highest mountains was a very complex adventure with transportations, porters, huge amounts of supplies, few possibilities to communicate with each other and the world outside the mountains, etc...Absolutely nothing nowadays compares to the way and effort climbers from the past endured. Sandy Irvine was so young too and wasn't even ment to go for the Summit as I understand it. I hope he also can be found some day.
