Girls nowdays will just leave u if u get married to a second as they can now provide for themselves. And the guys that want to marry more than one usually do not live in the way of the sunnah and do it purely out of lust.

Quran has forbidden a man to marry again and have only one wife, if he has a shadow of doubt that he wont be able to do justice. Now tell me what justice is quran talking about? To give first and second wife equal material posessions? Because even if the first wife is given all the financial support, house and everything and she still feels pain of betrayal in her heart then that is injustice to her, keeping her uninformed is also injustice. So is this justice according to quran?, to give her posession and not care about the deep hurt in her heart? On the contrary islam promotes 'the best of you is the one who is best to his wife' so is her heart and feelings inportant in islam or not? Justice is when you bring peace to someone when they have been wronged. If a woman is hurt even after been given everything that means injustice has been done to her heart and as a muslim I am asking all the muslims, does quran promote this type of justice? Is this justice or pseudo justice? Please share this knowledge with everyone. Because some lustful men, interpret quran to make it convenient for them to follow their own lust. While quran is just with women. We don't have to resort to feminism for our rights...islam has secured them for us, most men hate this because they dont marry rape victims, old women, mothers, divorcee in second marriage like our prophet muhammad but they marry younger than them, white skin, virgins, and call it sunnah of prophet. And say men are allowwed because they have more lust, shamelessly implying that our Prophet Muhammad was a lustful man because he had more wives than whats limited. If men have lust problems then it cant be solved with second or third or fourth marriage because lust is endless. Men (and women also) please get of your porn addictions, YT channels like NoFap will help you! Quran has not done injustice to you ladies but its lustful mens perception and twisting of meanings that have brought misunderstanding and pain to you. Anyone who wrongly interprets quran for his/her own vices will secure a permanent place in Allahs Eternal hell!! And they will surely feel the punishment of it in duniya itself through all the difficulties they will face. May Allah Guide Us All.

I converted to Islam 27 years ago, and after 23 years of marriage my husband was unfaithful to me for several years, and did not end the affair until I found out about it. He, now has another women back home which I didn’t know about until a few weeks ago, and now wants to marry her and is asking for my consent. I’m deeply hurt and just want a divorce. I’m self sufficient and I would rather be alone than to share my husband with other woman. He for sure would have left me if I had been the unfaithful one.

yes she can take divorce if a woman doesn't like her husband anymore and she is not feeling for him any more. How could someone stay without love and respect with someone. When a woman came to Prophet (PBUH) that my husband loves and he is very righteous but I don't want to live with him because I don't like him and can't fulfil marriage obligations. Prophet (PBUH) asked her to give dowry back whatever she received from her husband and ordered the husband to let her go. In Quran there is clearly mention in the verse that you can't keep any woman by force. Increase your knowledge of Islam. Women has this God given right and no one can take it away from her. And there is a reason behind it because she doesn't love him anymore. You can't force someone to love you. What Hadith are you referring I know where are you coming from but Hadith didn't mention she can't get divorce for whatever reason. It's only for the woman to tell them even though you have this God given right but if you are happy with your husband then think over it. And if you take divorce without any reason then Allah will ask you but In this world divorce will be established. Same Is for men that don't give divorce without any reason if you do then Allah will ask husband too Period !!

The prophet pbuh ate dates, it is sunnah to eat like him, however if someone personally doesn't like dates and expresses his preference for not wanting to eat dates, that is not haram. What is haram is to say eating dates is impermissible, likewise, whats haram is to say polygamy is impermissible because now you are making something halal haram. But there is nothing haram about expressing your preference when it comes to something that is sunnah.

as Muslims we must fear Allah swt and not change the deen to suit our needs, unless we want Allah punishment to come upon us, two or three or four. But if you fear that you will not be just, then one [marry only] from Quran... And you will never be able to be equal just between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. From quran from Quran... Allah said Verily, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and he forbids immorality and bad conduct and transgression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded. Surat An-Nahl 16:90 And Allah says O you who believe, be persistently standing firm for Allah as witnesses in justice, and do not let the hatred of a people prevent you from being just. Be just, for that is nearer to righteousness. Fear Allah, for Allah is aware of what you do. Surat Al-Ma’idah 5:8 “A man who has two wives and who is completely inclined to one and who ignores the other emerges with one side of his body paralysed in the Day of Judgment.” (Hadith; Ibn Majah, Nikah, 47; Mishkat al-masabih, 2/196) A woman does not consent to share her husband with another woman under normal circumstances, and no woman would like to marry a married man unless she has to. It is a necessity of belief that polygamy is right. However, to believe it does not necessarily mean for a woman to consent to the second wife and approve it. No believer father would like his son-in-law to marry a second, third or fourth woman along with his daughter. The jealous nature of the woman and the affection of the father for his daughter disapproves this. As a matter of fact, the daughter of our beloved Prophet, Sayyidah Fatima, objected to her husband, Ali’s marrying of a second woman. If it weren’t permissible to object, Sayyidah Fatima, who was brought up by our Prophet, would not have objected. The Messenger of Allah would have warned her and ordered her to consent to her husband’s wish. However, it did not take place like that. On the contrary, the Messenger of Allah, who saw that his daughter was worried, asked Ali to give up his wish and told him that if he did not give it up, he could marry another woman after divorcing Sayyidah Fatima. He did not consent to Ali’s second marriage to depress his daughter. By considering that act of the Messenger of Allah, it can be stated that Muslim daughters and fathers may object to the second marriage of their husband or son-in-law.

@@kingkatiin2658 ok, so as a woman, who doesn't have an issue with polygyny, there are many factors as to why a woman wouldn't be ok with it. Maybe her husband is failing in some aspect in their own marriage and the thought of him getting another wife is disheartening. Maybe she spent her whole youth building her husband into the man he is today and he's going to be offering this man to another woman when she had to deal with all his flaws for so long. That's disheartening as well. Maybe he doesn't support her when it comes to other things outside of financial or maybe even financial within reasonable means. Just because something is "HALAL" doesn't mean that it's comforting. Yes, as believers, we have to accept what Allah and his messenger have said, but as humans, there can still be feelings that you aren't 100% comfortable with something because of your own human flaws, not because Authoo billah from this but you felt Allah said something wrong. Being told that as a woman, maybe you aren't good enough in the bedroom is not a comfort. As women, we are constantly beating ourselves up about everything, our looks, our performance, our ability our shortcomings and to have it smashed in our faces constantly by men is hurtful and adds to the argument of the west. What about men? They fail to.look.their best for us women. They fail to perform well in the bedroom many times, leaving us to wonder if this is really how sexual intimacy should be? They fail to perform well when it comes to our treatment. They fail to recognize their shortcomings and to up and decide to.marry again is hurtful. @@TheBlackHijabi91 Salam Aalaykum~ I understand what you mean by the discomfort but what you have described for a man, isnt a man of sunnah. ‘Ikramah reported: Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Verily, I love to beautify myself for my wife, just as I love for her to beautify herself for me, due to the saying of Allah Almighty: They have rights similar to those over them.” (2:228) Source: al-Sunan al-Kubrá 14264 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Ahmad Shakir Ibn Qudamah said, “Sexual intercourse with one’s wife is an obligation upon the husband as long as he does not have an excuse… It is recommended for him to play with his wife before intercourse, to arouse her desire so she gets enjoyment out of intercourse as he does.” Source: al-Mughnī 7/300-304 The 2 hadith above shows that Muslim men should also beautify themselves for their wives, and that they should even work towards making the wife feel good during sexual intimacy. There are even times where Muslim women asked Prophet Muhammad SAW that their husbands werent having sex with them and the women wanted divorce and the Prophet SAW allowed it. The wife's needs are just as important as the husband and if youre unsatisfied with how your husband treats you then its time you talked with each other. "And if you have reason to fear that you might not act equitably towards orphans, then marry from among [other] women such as are lawful to you - [even] two, or three, or four: but if you have reason to fear that you might not be able to treat them with equal fairness, then [only] one - or [from among] those whom you rightfully posses. This will make it more likely that you will not deviate from the right course." (Surah an Nisaa - Women, 4:3) Allah states in the verse above that if a Muslim man can not treat his wives equally, then for him is allowed only one wife. If a Muslim man cant even proper rights to one wife, how is he going to even get a second wife? If he gives rights to his second wife and not to his first. He is committing a sin. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever has two wives and favours one of them over the other, will come on the Day of Resurrection with one of his sides leaning.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (1141), Abu Dawood (2133), al-Nasaa’i (3942) and Ibn Majaah (1969). Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb wa’l-Tarheeb (no. 1949). Allah is all wise and just. Allah does not make this deen difficult on anyone. So never think for a moment that Allah favors men over women. It is people who have set high standards for women when it comes to becoming wives. If you find in your husband something that bothers you. Then you definitely have the right to talk to him about it. Of course be patient with him but Allah gave you rights, and your husband has to abide by them~

as Muslims we must fear Allah swt and not change the deen to suit our needs, unless we want Allah punishment to come upon us, two or three or four.

Saying "Men are Polygamous by Nature" is against Islam..? Why do almost all Scholars claim that men are polygamous by nature with no Islamic claim? This makes men think it's okay to open doors and feel for multiple women, when in the west, where everyone is treated "equally" women are equally polygamous, cheating on their husbands, for "fun" not for "love or emotional" reasons as many put it. This means that both sexes are vulnerable in the same way. I think the society allows men to behave this way or think this way, because it's a male dominated world, and they supressed women since the beginning of time, when in the end, both men and women are the same, committing the same sins. However, the world makes it okay for men to be this way, claiming its their nature. Ever wonder why Muslim parents will abandon their daughters forever if they caught them speaking to a guy but will not do anything if their son goes out and sleeps around with women? Why is that? In the Shariah, both is a sin, both are haram! True women may be of more fitnah towards men, because women have more awrah to cover, yet they fail to, but most men are naturally in hijab, hence the reason for lesser fitnah for women. The Polygamy allowed also speaks about helping widows or orphans, anyone who can clearly study the Quran can understand that. The Sahabah and Prophets mostly married older women who had children from other men who had died. If men want to follow the example of the Prophet, they should follow it in the way he practiced it. Wars were common, many women were left without homes or men to take care of them. Had Allah disapproved, we would suffer social issues. There are many many many men who are happy with one wife, who dare not think about other women. Even having a thought of a non-mahram while married is a huge sin, how can one approach the thought of Polygamy knowing this is wrong? We see here the clear reasons for Polygamy. Some claim their wife is too fat or too old so they want to get another wife? It's because women are too busy with children they don't have time to even think of getting another man. Though the arab world makes it look like women have no physical desires or feelings. The fact that society has suppressed this, is proof why they claim "Men are Polygamous by nature" I would like to see any type of proof from Islam that this is true? Men were more free to do whatever they pleased, this is the real reason, before Islam and after Islam. It's not a religious view, its a social view. We Muslims are taught to follow the Quran and refer to sunnah and hadeeth, if men want to remarry, then why dont they read the verse on polygamy and refer to the sunnah and hadeeth? There are clear hadeeths that our Prophet pbuh the sahabah remarried older women to help them and be noble men for the sake of allah subhanwaltala, not for sexual reasons as Scholars put it these days. Also when Hazrat Ali wanted to take a second wife for the reasons I put above, it made Hzt Fatima upset and Prophet pbuh forbade Hazrat Ali remarrying a second wife. So if anyone can show a claim from ISLAM that men are polygamous, I would like to see. Please don't bring sciencists' claims into this, because even they claim things that go against Islam.

How will you achieve these chasing your always changing desires? To the lady who asked the question: unfortunately you married a man who is at the moment immature and egoistic. Be yourself, you are beautiful, important and you are enough for him, he is lucky to have you. He need to learn from own mistakes. Try to reason with him. Do not aree on something that brings you down. We are all here in this world to learn how to love.

Allah said: (2:256) famously declares "There is no compulsion (forcing) in religion... You take about sunnah, start with your fard also Muslim brothers ignore the sunnah of fasting on mondays and Thursdays, they ignore the sunnah of praying 2 Rakats before fair, they forget that Tahajjud is a sunnah. The only sunnah they remember is to marry 4 wives... as Muslims we must fear Allah swt and not change the deen to suit our needs, unless we want Allah punishment to come upon us, two or three or four.

What if your husband is infertile and we ( women ) want kids why can’t we leave him and marry another man just like a man does to us. And in this generation that we live in today women have rights and can provide for themselves without a man.

@Touhami stipulate a condition doesn’t make something haram that is halal ! I know that, it’s just not doing it or staying away from it. If your doctor tell you can’t consume sugar because it may harm doesn’t make sugar haram, you just have to avoid it. And by the way you also can’t change if anything allowed by Islam not anyone. If the wife stipulates that her husband should not take another wife, this is a valid condition and he must adhere to it, That is because of the report narrated by al-Bukhaari (2721) and Muslim (1418), that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The conditions that are most deserving to be fulfilled are those by means of which intimacy becomes permissible for you.” And because he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The Muslims are bound by their conditions, Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (1352) and Abu Dawood (3594). It was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi. This condition does not make something permissible forbidden; rather it restricts the man’s power and gives the wife the right to annul the marriage. Such conditions were made at the time of the Sahaabah (may Allah be pleased with them).

This is why you should educate your women so that if something like this happens to them they can opt for divorce and pray to Allah to bless her with another husband for whom she will be enough. Rather than the woman wanting to or uncontrollably commit some form of kufr such as getting attracted to some other man, having an affair to be satisfied herself, despising him, lashing out and killing him oor the second wife or their children or her children or committing suicide or loosing Iman or getting struck with paralysis because of the shock. Also, kindly have it written in the marriage contract before signing it that the woman has the right to take up divorce (khula) in case the husband wants to or takes a second wife for whatever reason or reasons and that he needs your permission, if you say no he has to oblige. Whatever you put in the marriage contract will become valid and legal. Allah has made women with need for loyalty from her husband, and Allah will not put her in hellfire for parting ways for the sake of her (and others around her) wellbeing, sanity and wanting to look for the kind of love she wants to have. Dis Allah say that she needs to stay married to that man under any circumstance? Did Allah say that a woman has no desires of her? Did Allah say any where that a man's desires Trump a woman's desire? Dis Allah say that a woman should have sabr and treat it as her fate and not do anything about it? Didn't Allah give the women the right to part ways from the man for WHATEVER REASON OR REASONS. This is enough for me to know that Allah does no injustice and HE will never ask a woman to live a life of a dead woman, depressed, sick and unhappy. Did Allah say that a woman has to live with a husband even if she's unhappy? She can be unhappy for whatever reason or reasons. Don't tell women what to do. Let them do what they want. If they want to stay, let them, if they want to leave and fine some other man to marry let them, that is besides the point if she succeeds or not, at least she stands a chance. Stop blackmailing woman into staying just because there are men want to fulfill their desires by marrying more. Has Allah said anywhere that a woman should have no desires?

It also a way for man to oppress their wives emotionally. For an example if there is any disagreement between 1st wife and husband, the husband will run away to another women for emotional dependence. Multiple marriages also create atmosphere of envy and jealousy between wives, also divorcing the person is not easy. like how alcohol was banned in Islam, polygamy for men should be banned.

I’m really sorry to say to those who are against polygamy, that it’s not for you to dispute. Astaghfirullah. In fact, it can be seen as bad as nullifying our Islam if we reject that that has been made permissible by Allah swt. Authu Billah Allah swt has put this in place, and Allah swt knows best. No, we shouldn’t hurt the feelings of sisters in Islam, or anybody for that matter. Perhaps the shortfall is that we’re seeing it from a personal perspective? That we are using our own emotions as our guide أَسْتَغْفِرُ الله? As believers we want for others what we want for ourselves., otherwise we have no faith. There are tons more women than men in this world, thus, leaving sisters without husbands. Do we we think it’s ok for the Ummah as a whole if we have single sisters struggling on a daily basis, because we’re too focussed on our pride and (perhaps) selfishness? It’s nothing to do with self worth, as many would say sisters in polygamy have none. It’s that they wish for other sisters to feel that same sense of security we all want. But of course, the husband has to be a good Muslim, firstly, then just InshaAllah. May Allah swt help us thrive as an Ummah, and to understand this world is temporary. Allahumma Ameen ya Rabb’Al Al’Ameen

Firstly: If the wife stipulates that her husband should not take another wife, this is a valid condition and he must adhere to it; if he does take another wife, she has the right to annul the marriage contract. That is because of the report narrated by al-Bukhaari (2721) and Muslim (1418), that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The conditions that are most deserving to be fulfilled are those by means of which intimacy becomes permissible for you.” And because he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The Muslims are bound by their conditions, except a condition that makes something permissible forbidden or makes something forbidden permissible.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (1352) and Abu Dawood (3594).

What Allah has ordained has so many wisdom that the small human mind could never comprehend. But Allah has also shown us women the ways to face the situation. Let's not blame Allah, yet learn and study more on the matter. It is his right to get married again and it is also the women's rights to get divorce if she would see it fit. May Allah guide us all. A man, very early on in the marriage, disconnects from emotional vulnerability or an over-reliance and fixation in his wife, as much as he may 'love' her, he sees himself as a self-reliant individual, not bound to exclusivity. A woman, on the other hand, dedicates herself in perpetuity to this man. If she was to do what he does and separate herself and be self-sufficient, mentally and emotionally, and he then decides to take another wife, it would not disconcert her as much. Society will always disparage women; first wife, second wife, third wife, whatever you choose to be. Just be you. Be your own person.

The prophet (PBUH) was not wired that way. He married one wife for decades and did not remarry until after she had died. And most of those marriages afterwards (when he was 53-56) were for political/war reasons because of his special status, not because of his personal desires or "nature". I am not saying polygamy itself is wrong but its important to note that polygamy was common among the kaffirs at the time they had no limit to how many wives they can take, and Islam came to limit it DOWN to 4 and only make it permissible based upon certain conditions and responsibilities (giving rights to the women)...so that man does not just fall into his greed and lust, or animalistic "innate nature". Most men today do not have what it takes to do polygamy in the way that it has been made permissible. It takes a fair, just, mature, strong and honorable man to handle such a responsibility to make polygamy successful and maintain the balance and peace of such a household.

We both are human it’s so painful to see someone we love in the arm of someone else, i can never accept the concept of polygamy in Islam. I dont know what reason God allowed it. If it’s for certain conditions, it can have solution without doing polygamy, or if it’s for the sake of war condition, there’s no mentioning in the quran. Means it’s very wide and can be used even for lust. No one would ever want to share their lover to someone else, i want men imagine that. Sometimes this weaken my iman..

It's Highly demotivating not to practise polygamy. Polygamy is highly discouraged in Islam just like slavery, you're allowed to have slaves but not encouraged. Many of you will say that it is a sunnah so you may avoid it mean yeah but you should not be stoping i your husband because men and women can avoid sunnah but they shouldn't be stopping someone to do a sunnah because the definition of avoiding a sunnah(that i follow) is you can unfollow as it is optional but you cannot stop anyone to do that because if he or she is doing a sunnah then it means that he or she is doing good. In simple words sunnah means good and benefitial. Actually it will benefit in some way or the other if the man marries many women because it was done by our beloved prophet Mohammed (pbuh) if it was not good then why did prophet Muhammad (pbuh) did it. I am not saying you can't disagree but you should also look that it is good as it is sunnah it goes for other sunnah's too. If you avoid it you will not be sinfull but you shouldn't be stopping it. And to dear sisters🤗🤗 if find it difficult then in marriage contract you can out the condition that you will not marry if your husband marries many women because this is permissible in islam. Allah said: And you will never be able to be equal between wives, even if you should strive [to do so].} [Quran 4:129] Allah said Verily, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives and he forbids immorality and bad conduct and transgression. "I heard Allah's Apostle who was on the pulpit, saying, 'Banu Hisham bin Al-Mughira have requested me to allow them to marry their daughter to Ali bin Abu Talib, but I don't give permission, and will not give permission unless 'Ali bin Abi Talib divorces my daughter in order to marry their daughter, because Fatima is a part of my body, and I hate what she hates to see, and what hurts her, hurts me.'" Chastity is defined as "controlling oneself from forbidden desires due to the love of Allah The Almighty in response to His command, as well as for seeking His reward in return." Islam has always been keen to establish chastity in the Muslim community and has thus legislated many laws that reduce the strong impact of these desires and control them; it has also encouraged remaining on the straight path and warned against transgressing the defined boundaries by following these base desires. Islam has preserved people’s honor and protected lineages from being mixed. Therefore, fornication and adultery are forbidden and classified as major and destructive sins. Islam has even forbidden everything that could lead to these sins, such as immoral exchange of looks between the two sexes, depraved words, seductive moves, a man and a woman being in seclusion in a room, and anything else which could lead to this awful sin. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {"And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a great sin, and an evil way (that leads one to Hell unless Allah forgives him)."} [Quran, 17: 32] Islam does not have laws which contradict one another as is the case with man-made legislation which has set penal laws for adultery and fornication but has facilitated every means that lead to it. Moreover, there are some societies that see no harm in allowing fornication and adultery and have set no penal laws for those who commit them. Other societies differentiate between committing this act in the marital home and outside of it; they only consider committing it the marital home as a crime and not if it is committed away from it! Islam, on the other hand, comprehensively forbids fornication and adultery and everything that leads to it. Allah The Almighty commanded His Messenger to take a pledge from women who entered Islam to refrain from fornication and adultery. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {"O Prophet! When believing women come to you to give you the Bai`ah (pledge), that they will not associate anything in worship with Allah, that they will not steal, that they will not commit illegal sexual intercourse, that they will not kill their children… then accept their pledge."} [Quran, 60: 12] Allah The Almighty made the punishment for these sins vary from lashing to stoning to death, along with the humiliation which results from informing the community of the perpetrators of this sin. Allah The Almighty Says (what means): {"The fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allah, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a party of the believers witness their punishment. [This is for unmarried persons, but if married, the punishment is to stone them to death]."} [Quran, 24: 2] The Prophet set the penalty for adultery and fornication as follows: "If the parties (committing fornication) are unmarried, they should receive a hundred lashes and be put into exile for a year. If they commit adultery after they are married, they should receive a hundred lashes and then be stoned to death." [Muslim] Since Islam has comprehensively forbidden fornication and adultery, it has also blocked all ways that lead to it. It does not have laws which contradict one another as is the case with man-made legislation which has set penal laws for adultery and fornication but has facilitated every means that lead to it. The evil consequences of fornication and adultery Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim said, "Fornication and adultery combine all evils; weakness in commitment to the religion, lack of piety, corruption of manhood and the decrease of praiseworthy jealousy. You will never find an adulterer or fornicator who is pious, fulfils his promises, is truthful in his speech, maintains friendship or has jealousy over his wife; he will be characterised by lies, deception, betrayal, accepting prohibitions and not being mindful of Allah." All these characteristics are consequences of fornication and adultery. There are also other consequences such as: • Incurring the wrath of Allah The Almighty. • Corruption of one's wife and children. • Poverty and gloominess of the face, which will be apparent to people. • Darkness of the heart. • Becoming insignificant in the eyes of people and in the sight of Allah The Almighty. • Loss of the characteristics of chastity and righteousness and becoming known as a sinful, betraying adulterer or fornicator. • Not being classified as a believer in general. • Being decried as an evil person.
