For the boat, if you try to run while you are already moving it doesn't work. But if you stop pressing the toward key and then run, here it works. This has so sense but I wanted to let you know that

you actually can stop fall damage with cauldron water but it is very hard
7:14, you can smelt Golden Nuggets but in bedrock edition.
