I think it's because it's something they always happen to have. Plus, farms sometimes give off an industrial feel to them, which stone brick helps with.

I love the new update, new building materials, new mobs, a reason to go out and explore your world with armour trims and archaeology! Nice farm. When I saw the thumbnail I thought to myself "self, why does he need soooo much iron on a single player world?". Then you said beacons and it all became clear; 2400 ingots and hour or so I think.

I think people started using stonebrick because it is easy to get and it looks amazing at the same time. I use deepslate brick because it is the best block in the game to me. Also the update is awesome. As Minecraft starts adding more and more it is going to take a while to catch up on a new world. Idk if you have solved the iron golem issue yet but I think they fight the water and go on top of the wall, or they spawn on the few blocks outside of the farm and go on the wall. It might be a cleaner way than the path blocks.

Man I use deep slate anything because I can never seem to use it faster than I accrue it. But stone... I'm always out of stone it seems. I do quite a bit of texturing and terraforming so stone is always getting used for that. Never for bricks. When I'm building aesthetically I usually build with quartz and Blackstone with 2 other colors to compliment. I'm a massive quartz and Blackstone fan. Just built a massive storage room that auto sorts everything in quartz, Blackstone, dark oak, and lapis blocks. I really bloody wish terracotta and concrete had slabs and stairs. I use them quite a bit but it is such a restriction sometimes

The update is only “underwhelming” because the last one was such a gigantic change to the game. This update would not be looked at like this if it came out before. I love this update personally

I reckon the update is pretty good, I love the new woods and while I haven't played around with the sniffer yet I'm really keen to. If every update added something huge like the deep dark or netherite it wouldn't be special anymore, these simple updates are definitely needed between the huge ones

i absolutely love the new update. i’ve been wanting a cherry blossom forest in vanilla since the game first game out lol.

hint: to get the zombie in easier just place a opened trapdoor at the hole. Zombies think its a full block and walks over it and falls in very easy. also if you have enough iron just make a railway for the villagers its faster or make a temporary villager breeder next to it. those tips helped me a ton :>

You can also trap 2 villagers in a boat and lease the boat. Atleast you won't have to run to the village again for another villager! (Idk which version it works on)

I love the look of this ...but I'll put a simple breeder in the middle...at the level of the villager floor. Two villagers, one a carrot farmer, abd connect paths to each pod. Then the breeder will stay active as long as there are empty beds...at night wall them in to their pod. No wrangling needed lol

You should make a automatic storage system/shulker box loader for the iron farm

Tip add soul campfires at the bottom to get more iron

Next time you need to push a villager or have a zombie go in a hole, put a trap door and open it, they think it’s block and will walk over it but there’s nothing there so they’ll fall down. Great vid 👍🏽

the best saying: why have an ugly iron farm when.. you can have a pretty one

made an iron farm fairly recently. makes about 9,872 iron ingots an hour. to put that in perspective. in JUST over 3 hours I could have enough iron to fill a chunk in the end with anvils

Who else thought that at 15:45, the zombie on the stone brick looked like a giant zombie?! Just me?.....

1.20 is honestly pretty underrated. We got two new mobs, a brand new trail ruins structure, armor trims, a new music disc, two new plants, bamboo wood, cherry wood, hanging signs, chiseled bookshelves (which are amazing for being able to sort out enchanted books other than just dumping them in a chest) and a brand new cherry grove biome. Sure the loot from trail ruins is mostly lame and there should be more than just two plants the sniffer digs up, but overall I think 1.20 was a nice little update.

Actually some of my fav updates were the combat update, caves and cliffs and 1.20

how do you get the signs to float? an if not is there another material that can make the lava flat?

Bro you dont need nametags for zombies to not despawn you can just make them pick up an item and they wont disappear. My friend did that and told me to do it so i think it works like that.

For the Villagers dropping into the holes, just put the pillow part of a bed over the hole the villager will lay down in the bed. If you now destroy the bed he will 100% fall into the hole.

i remember making that exact iron farm, and my god was it frustrating 💀💀 i was on a server trying to get the zombies in the holes and everyone on the server kept sleeping which killed the zombies i was luring 😂 took me 3 irl days

You forgot to add a button to when you were luring the zombie, they see buttons as full blocks so they’ll try to walk over it

Removing the blocks below the walls should fix your issue with the golems spawning on the walls. for some reason the game still calculates full blocks under walls, trapdoors, and top slabs as spawnable blocks for golems but when they are spawned in it forces the up one block

To put the zombies place a trapdoor on the hole and if u dont know what it does mobs thought it was a full block so they walked towards it and u trapped them

Nope, scared villager mechanic only works on Java. Bedrock needs 20 villagers, 20 beds and 20 workstations.

I’ll be staying in this world as long as I can till I die! Thankfully I did update the world to 1.20 :)

I’ve got a good tip for you to get villagers out of boats that I use all the time that’s 💯 effective. Build a 90° corner 2 blocks high and drive the boat into the corner over the hole, jump out and break the boat, the villager will fall. Success.

You have potential on blowing up, but you need a more original title, however pretty good video😊

I play on bedrock but I think bedrock iron farm won't work on a java+ bedrock server,so maybe I should build this instead. IDK

Next time put all the villagers in then the zombies

The villager scare mechanic doesn't work on Bedrock, unfortunately. You'll need a setup that involves 20 villagers, 20 Beds and 20 workstations! Plenty of tutorials and designs out there. Gd luck.
