    Not gonna lie. For a very long time I’ve been hoping you’d paint it the same colour as the one you built before and your friend owned before his passing. Not only was it always a beautiful colour but it’s cool to see as like paying respects to him in a way. Great work.

    Your going to have to have that ecm programed to the truck vin, thats what the ‘no bus’ code is. The ecm and the ipc (guage cluster) are a programed pair. I see it all the tome people are always trying to take an ecm/pcm out of a junkyard truck and wonder why it doesn’t work. It had to be flashed to the vehicle VIN #!!! Come on Brandon you should know this! ‘01-‘02 are going to he a different ecm than earlier years to i think., especially being a High output 6 speed if that truck was org. 01-‘02’s are different on a lot of little things, in good ways.

    Honestly to be real what does it matter who built it?? If a truck turns out great its gona get treated that way if someone builds the most uglest truck it still gets appreciated..!?? What does build not bought really mean??? It seems to be those with no money who say that alot… tbh

    Putting a mechanical injection pump on a 24v is not worth the money. Just pay a good tuner for a good 5 tune set up way more bang for your buck!

    Heh this guy ^^obviously doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Brandon isnt building a budget farm truck build! Hes making an over the top show truck lol. ‘Just find a good tuner’ lol. Noob. A p pump 24v you cant get any more better than that as far as reliability, power, and lots and lots of fuel! It can be done easily snd cheaply ,94 done waaay over the top. When it comes to tuning a vp there is so many limitations. Timing, injector pulse width, duration etc. hence common rail. Because thats why theres common rail. A p pump 24v is like the holy grail of all diesel motors, because power and reliability and no electronics thats why. Easy tuning. Computers are for nerds. Id rather turn a few screws than upload software. You don’t see any of the highest HP trucks running vp44’s with an edge juice/ attitude or a quadzilla tearing up the truck pulls or dyno’s at UCC? Lol. Theres only so much you can do to a vp44. At some point it all flatlines and theres no more. Now, that bwing said, theres things yiu can donwith a vp that you cant do with a cp3, or emissions cp4’s, a cp4 is garbage and people are ditching them and going back to cp3 and tuning it. A vp44 is a very simple pump. Heck i like the og of ‘em all the bosch rotary pumps on the first gen 12v’s. That started it all! Them pumps will run for every and don’t get any simple, the p pumps were just even more simple, easy to tune, didnt rely on fuel supply to cool/lubricate itself and were capable of flowing massive, massive amounts of fuel with little or minor mods.

    @@Moose400ex I didn't mean just go out and buy a plug and play tuner I meant find a good custom tuner like schied or ddp someone who knows how to build a good set of specific tunes for a specific build. You sound like you've read your fair share of Facebook post's lol.. there is a reason why you don't see p pump 24v trucks at drag strips or in front of a sled (very often) because weather you believe it to be true or not horse perfect reliable peak horse power is made by doing some mathing that your brain clearly isn't capable of.. which is usually done best by a computer!

    @@Moose400ex yeah your right you don't see trucks at the pulls with a quadzilla or a edge tuner. Anyone that wants to make horse power is getting custom tunes built by well known tuners that build tunes specific to those builds!

    @@Moose400exI wanna get put a common rail 5.9 in my truck, can I and should I p pump it ? Should I go with 24v p pump instead ? I like the sound of the common rail

  • @Moose400ex

    @Moose400ex

    @@jaketrat3725 well if you want a common tail your going to need the entire harness, ecm,pcm, tcm. Everything electrical! And even then theres gunna have to be some programming done. A lot of guys are going common rail and using stand alone controllers. If you p pump a common rail 24v then your simply going all mechanical and bypassing all the electronics. A p7100’is all mechanical, fuel delivery, timing, everything is controlled mechanically. There’s one wire for a p pump, the electric fuel shut off solenoid and you don’t even need that, cause you can do a pull cable cut off heh. So basically theres no difference in p pumping a common rail 5.9 vs p pumping a 5.9 vp44 motor. Same outcome in the end, same results. To common rail a vp truck would mean swapping the entire harness, pcm, ecm, everything! Into a second gen. And making it run and communicate with everything. Can it be done, YES, ita going ro be a alot of wiring and a lot of work! Its been done, there was a guy on some channel i saw he was working on a common rail swap on a second gen. I think it was ‘dirty diamond diesel’ his channel. Not worth the hassle or work if you ask me, you can make big big power ya, but ao can you with a p pump. If you want a common rail just get a a 3rd gen. Real men rotary pump swap with 24v’s! Heh thatll be the day, when all the p7100’s are gone and used up and diesel heads start scrounging all the first gen 12v rotary pumps they threw in the trash to build! Lol you can make decent power with a rotary pump. I think 600hp is about the ceiling and pushing the limits. Thats good enough for me ha. I p pump my ‘02 HO 6 speed i want everything to be built to take 900 horse but its gunna be dialed back conservatively cause this things mint and perfect.
