I'd love for the main floor's mural to be one of those from city living that Krystoff paints. Especially since some residents wont contribute much financially to the hall, maybe each should have to contribute non-financially to it. So, Krystoff paints a mural, Sonny has to throw a party where he performs, Silas takes and displays a family photo

Yes I forgot about him. Maybe expand the basement on the other side and make a kids area. Since Pablo is the fitness guy it makes sense he would be in the gym it would be like the kids play area a lot of gyms have while the parents work out. With the horse Pablo will never have enough room on his plot for kid stuff and horse stuff, I like the idea of the community coming together to make sure the little one has what it needs

Great idea to make a build-only episode for this. Although the chaos of trying to do it while your sims roam about would have probably been hilarious, it would have probably taken years off James' life lol

Maybe have the entry (front and back) opens exclusively for people from the tiny town club? That way it is a real club house and prevent random townies from crowding it

I really like the idea of everyone has to supply something to the town hall. Krystoff has to supply the artwork to decorate, Vivienne supply books to the bookcases, Camilo run a yoga class once a week etc

Use TOOL to scale the Bistro doors/windows to 0.99 to prevent clipping through roof. Drives be bonkers! And you can actually use it to place the clock on the level above and lower into the proper place so it's not in your way during gameplay.

I think you’ll need a dining room and small industrial kitchen, for winterfest dinner, etc. because when there’s more grandkids nobody is going to be able to fit that in their house, lol. And I love the idea in comments for a couple market stall areas.

Yea that was what I wanted when James was looking for ideas before. Somewhere to do a big family dinner.

How do we feel about potentially moving the town hall back and instead having Sonny live in the center of town? I think the hall comes a little close to other lots at times, and moving it back might give a few of them a bit more breathing room. And plus(!) Sonny’s island could be built in a larger pond/fountain stretching out in front of the town hall!

It might be nice to have a room for the achievements of each tiny towner. There you could display a masterpiece from Krystoff, bestseller from Vivian, competition trophy from Pablo, etc.

Love these build videos! Also good that tiny town finally has a community space so that Sonny, Silas and Scarlet won't struggle as much lol

maybe a mini fridge would've been cool to have behind the bar area, that way sims can get snacks even if they can't afford one for themselves yet (if we're going off the whole fill-your-needs-here mindset) and it just kinda looks fitting because maybe that's where the bartender gets the drinks and ice from

I feel like you can get away with the building being swapped in place with sonny’s lot, because his theme is island, the house will be on a pond kind of and I can’t imagine it’ll be very big so it wouldn’t over shine the town hall. This way you’ll have a pond type in the centre and then the big town hall in the back so you can easily see all houses from the front of the lot. Especially with having Scarlett’s lot with gardening it’ll look nice alongside his lot. I’m in the beginning of the video so not sure if you have mentioned this yet but just a thought.

The barbecue area looks like a smiley face to me. The grill and the trash can are the eyes, the picnic table is the nose and the bushes are the smile. Please, someone else see that too?!?!

**Can you put the roof access off the rear balcony? That way it doesn't interfere with the interior space & lighting, and doesn't pop up in a random place on the roof. It would be in the center area. Also, they need a large family dining area. The wellness room should have a long dining table or two, and full kitchen, so they can gather for Harvestfest to cook a Grand Meal together. None of the houses are big enough for this and it's perfect for family reunions. It's also pretty common in rec centers.

For anyone who encounters terrain issues while working on a basement, you can fix it without having to delete rooms by simply using the foundation tool to lower the basement until the terrain becomes flat.

Or use the square room tool instead of the basement tool! It doesn’t distort the terrain when dragged beyond the building’s boundaries

Bravo James. The interior reminds me of the clubhouse of a 3nd homeowner development in my area. A little bit of everything and a chill place for people to come together and enjoy each other's company.

The smiley face of flowers at the front and the nonchalant expression when including the glitch on the list of things on the roof cracked me up

To avoid messing up terrain, use the square room tool on the basement level. You can stretch it beyond the buildings edges without distorting terrain! Don’t use the basement tool!!

There should be some of Kristoff's paintings hung up around the place (maybe including reference paintings of the other sims) in honour of him providing most of the money

This came out great. You can also use some of the signage that came with the rec center lots in Growing Together and the new doors and signs added to base game.

Tbh this is less a town hall and more a community centre. I like the end product regardless, but when I saw the title I was hoping I'd get to see you building out some drab bureaucratic office chic!

I'm really excited to see the sims using this community space! A creche in the basement for Pablo's kid would be cool! So the infant/tod has somewhere to go when he's using the gym.

Oh, good. I saw Sunny's plot was going to be completely obscured by the Town Hall, so I worried he'd be covered in shade and all he'd be able to see is a looming brick building, but he still gets the sun (when the weather permits). It is a shame his backyard doesn't have much to look at, though. For an island themed guy, he should be able to get better views around him. Maybe he can switch tent lots with one of the others tent dwellers so he can have some sort of nice view? Camillo obviously put in his influence to have the purple wall of purple bookcases... and of course his own yoga studio. His house even is tallest. "I'm the big cheese of this town, not Krystoph!" You speak of the tent dwellers being able to access real bathrooms, but Sims autonomously pick the bushes... Just like how they will autonomously pick the tents over their own beds. I will always wish those things would be tweaked some. Your Sim is about to pass out, but decides to nap on bench rather than sleep in their bed. Your Sim needs to go to the toilet and chooses the bush you placed down for Whoo-hoo rather than use their bathroom. Why?!

When the basement messes up the terrain like in the video, you can correct it by going to the basement, and pulling the foundation down a few notches. Yeah, I know there is no foundation in your basement, but you use the same tool you would to add a foundation above ground. If you are in your basement, it won't affect your above ground foundation at all. I've had that issue too, and it really works.

I love the idea of a small community kitchen and bigger dining room so they can celebrate winter/summer fest together and do grand meals!

Nice build James. I would've made the wellness room as a general skill building room and put the wellness area outside up on the roof area and maybe close it in with glass walls and roof. I wonder if you could've used the cafeteria object from the high school pack and made a small dining area.

Love this series! I think the fireplace in front of the dance floor is a little odd. Imagine dancing, aka getting hot and sweaty, in front of a hot fireplace.... Also, I think it would be cool if you could create an arcade area in the hall.

It's always a pleasure to watch you build. I may never be able to enjoy those builds for a lack of packs but it's such a treat to see your practical creativity in action!

I would love if all the Tiny Towners eventually had an underground tunnel from their own homes that led to the basement of the town hall! Secret meetings, theft, the possibilities are endless 😂

What about putting a small shed roof with walls and a door over the stairs to protect the building from the elements?

I'd be so cool if the weather machine could be on a movable platform, that could be rased up to the roof when needed, and lowered again afterwards. Sadly that is not possible in the Sims BUT you could make it look like it was! Make a room below with a control panel and a "piston" or several (the coulombs from get to work maybe)? And on the roof a "platfrom" with the metal flooring and fence? This could even hide the ladder 😉

If you make the pool look like a pond out front you can make the pond swimmable. I also like the way the Back to the Future town hall had a raised foundation with stairs leading up to the entrance. Too bad you cant use stain glass windows in the front like in the one in the movie, that would look gorgeous!! Oh, before I forget, you can make the pool or pond fishable--if you want to put one out in the front, by getting a fishing sign from debug.

I really enjoy your Tiny Town Challenge playthrough, it makes me want to try it out myself, though I'm not much of a builder. I like that it's a bunch of smaller R2R challenges with predefined source of income and build style, which you also get to swap between. I think it's a good way to challenge myself to try out different styles I wouldn't usually choose, without it being one big project

Maybe with more money, there could be a basement bowling alley/arcade? On the other side of the building. If you lower the basement, does it still have the issues with the terrain? Although lowering might affect the size of the stairs...

I'm obsessed with this series, it's so fun! Love this build, too.

Considering Tiny Town was inspired by Animal crossing, this seems perfect. I think Sonny could also pivot from Pipe organ to piano! Room opposite the gym could be a cinema and maybe also a small infant survival room with a bed and baby equipment. You could flavour it as a clinic potentially too sine Tiny town is so rural

Now that you have the lamp posts out front, I think you could probably add back the second set of trees. The lamp posts in the middle should balance that out now and fix the issue you were having before. I’d add a fire prevention system somewhere too with the number of fireplaces you have lmao. I’m also with everyone else in that I’d love to see some sort of selling area kind of like that one lot in Eco Lifestyle. Given the storms in HoB (even with the weather machine), having an indoor area for everyone to sell their stuff would make a lot of sense to me.

Definitely agree with folks here that the lot needs a big dining hall for events and holidays. A kitchen on one end so they can cook a grand meal together and a high chair just for the chaos. Wellness classes around town and in the valley are lovely anyway. Still hanging out for a yoga class in the finchwick town center! It’d be real pretty and maybe Agnes could learn some emotional control 😅

James, if you switch the location of Sonny and Reuben's houses, you could still make a lake in the lot by the front of the town hall that would serve both to add a bigger water element in line with the Back to the Future inspo, as well as the foundation for Sonny's island home

I think you should make the fountain out front into a pond roughly the same size. It's small but it would look more fitting in Hanford on Bagley. Thow some cattails and a duck in there and call it good. The fountain is pretty but I think a pond is better for the setting.

When I saw you were basing this on Back to the Future, my jaw DROPPED!! YES! YES!! YESSSS!!!!

A bowling alley would been a better choice instead of the yoga studio. I would’ve preferred the yoga studio be on the roof instead, because it’s a lot more space

I appreciate you walking through some of the building things you're doing!! Not only the basement hack but that roof/ceiling hack! Ty!

I think rather than the wellness room being a wellness room, it could just be a general use room for anything anybody needs it for, like yoga classes, art class, town meeting etc. So maybe in the room there are some items placed like chairs lined up against the wall to bring out when needed, a speaking podium, some spare yoga mats leaning in a corner etc.

Back To The Future are classics and should NEVER be remade. They had so much charm overall. James you could have use the mural from City Living and have them decorate it by painting or just have Kristoff for that being he is the painter....Who was it not that had Photography can take pictures of the mural or create them selfs and sell it.

There needs to be a shrine to the crystal, where the residents can worship it

this build looks amazing! I think you should put a Murphy bed in one of the rooms so that some of the Sims without houses don’t have to sleep in tents AND Semaj and Nalani have a place to stay when they come to visit.
