I BUILT A TINY A-FRAME CABIN IN 7 DAYS | Complete Build | Den Outdoors A-frame cabin kit off-grid

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

SUPER EXCITED to show you all the complete build of my Den Outdoors pre-fab cabin kit.
Ever since I started my professional career my goal was to buy land and build an off-grid cabin. I have no clue why, since I really am a city slicker at heart. This was my north star. When my career pushed me to my breaking point I found solace in knowing one day I would have my own little slice of heaven and the American dream.
I recently invested in a new Den Outdoors A Frame Cabin Kit for a glamping project I am showcasing here on youtube. It's a $21,000 a-frame cabin kit you can order online and get shipped to your land by Den Outdoors. I'm excited as hell for this project and excited to start a glamping business.
Be sure to subscribe to the channel to follow along as I continue to build out this cabin and my glamping site.

Looks nice, but I would have gone with a lighter color on the wood, and perhaps the roof too. That looks like it will be a hotbox in the summer sun. Where there appears to be no windows to open or vents, not to mention no shade, the summer temperature is likely to be toasty.

But back to this a-frame, I think I would have started smaller. The product you get is great, the cabin is sturdy, awesome, and stylish. The only downside is the price. It's just too expensive to recommend to everybody. Plus, as you are doing, there are cheaper ways to get into the game. This is just the easiest. I knew that and decided to pay a bit more to get up and running quickly since I have a full-time job, etc.

Did you anchor it to the earth? I’m about to build mine in central Texas and want to avoid a seemingly permanent foundation…. but also keep it from tripping over in one of our wild storms. Thanks for sharing!

Great question man, no I didn't anchor it. The structure as a whole weighs ALOT. The lower window in the back weighs about 800 pounds on its own. I am looking into hurricane straps though. Normally they are used for RV's but I think it could work for this structure. If I go down that route I will be sure to update this channel.

Mobile home anchors . They look like a screw with a long shaft. You are supposed to turn them into the ground. You can bury them instead , easy cheap effective. You don’t want moisture from underneath so lay out some heavy plastic sheeting . Head out to a mobile home hardware store hang out and see how some things are done.

Thanks Austin, off the top of my head I am not 100% sure what the zoning is. I believe farm and agriculture but not certain. I reached out to the town and was told anything built under 149 sqft would not need a permit so long as it didn't have any electrical or running water. So I am good to go.

By writing "my 21k on instead" seems like youre flexing that you had 21k$ which you could spend and honestly I dont have anything against that, if you ask me you could throw them away, I wouldnt care. With my comment "21k $ for that" I expressed that this, in my opinion, is too much money for something that small because in my country with that money you can build much bigger and spacious house, A frame or normal one.
