got any suggestions for guys who fat finger keys sometimes, all the keyboards I've tried are to sensitive and I cant find any videos that show which key type would help reduce this.
I recently bought the Aula F87 on Aliexpress for $60 and boy is it good for the price, like damn budget boards have improved a lot in the last few years.

A bit more info on the screen, and overall opinion of the board/switches would've been nice.

The screen is nice on mine, you can upload up to 2 images/gifs, or you can draw something yourself. The software to do it is pretty garbage, but if you choose a gif with a nice loop, it looks really nice.

mine came with a rattly spacebar stabilizer on the left side so its kinda yuck to press it...i put gateron yellow pros v3 and its sounds amazing
The sound deadening is pretty safe if you never need to remove it as it’s impossible to remove without leaving a bunch of the butyl behind. Being butyl rubber for the aluminum backing you don’t have to worry about shorting anything.
9:08 You're a legend for using this clip
As an artist, i love the fact that you mentioned and even tried to protect us while buying, like, i know so many artists suffering due Aliexpress rip offs, Thank you so much for stopping and knowing we exist
There's a very simple solution for the difficult to remove Kilmat - just cover the board in tape first. Use a good quality tape with some stretch to it, something like 3M Clear Repair Tape.
Never have I ever expect a keyboard could be this SILENT Nice editing and explanations on keyboard mods and building btw
GMK 87's are awesome, I remember trying to find a review from you when I built my keyboard using it.

Yes! This is just the video that I wanted, I've been considering building a custom keyboard from Aliexpress. Now I have a parts list!
Since i started to watch your channel i was about build one myself this GMK with some akko yellow cream was a dream come true, thanks for puting me in this world Hipyo!
This is terrifyingly almost identical to my build. The fact that I am using GMK87 and a PBT keycap set that looks close to the one here is funny. Currently I'm using Akko CS Crystal which is not bad. I've been considering silent build so I bought myself an Outemu Honey Peach. Edit: A little more things I'd like to mention out of nowhere. It's interesting to see that the GMK87 that Hipyo bought has a slightly different set of things that was out of the box. On the barebones that I bought, it already had a poron foam and IXPE sheet in between the polycarbonate plate and PCB but it also had a plastic sheet on top of the PCB that I don't think was in Hipyo's GMK87, so I think it's okay to remove it if the plastic sheet is there. In fact I recommend removing because depending on the IXPE sheet cutout, your stabilizer stems might make extra goofy noises especially if there are air pockets under the plastic sheet right under the stems. The stabilizers are not too bad but they will almost always rattle a bit because of the bad *plate-mounting* design I guess but should be fixable with some small tape mods or just get a better stabilizer. I'm considering to buy something called an Ice Cream V2 stabilizers at my local store which I have no idea what that is and I don't see any info of it in the internet anywhere. One interesting thing is that my GMK87 already came with a poron foam that sticks (and removable) under the PCB that is not present in Hipyo's GMK87, which he used Killmat instead for that. I personally suggest using 2 to 3 layers of masking tape instead because that would be less destructive while giving you the same effect. And then the rest like the PE sheet and silicon layer that was in the case were present so yeah other than the ones I mentioned, it's not too different. At least for silent switches, if you're looking for a good one, I highly recommend to just go with Hipyo and I bought here, the Outemu Honey Peach V2 (5-pin mount variant). Like Hipyo showed, the switches have pads on the sides of the POM stem. It has a light pre-lube amount which is not bad in my experience, I'm the type to enjoy hand-lubing and the lubing on the Honey Peach is pretty good that I didn't feel the need to lube it. The top and bottom housing are made of nylon. Overall, it's just a good silent switch for the price you'll be paying, and that is very cheap considering the average price you'll see for a silent switch. Lastly, if you're considering to start with building a keyboard, unless you have a fixation on the casing material or the layout size (which is a tenkeyless/80%), and some other things that anchors to your personal taste, I would highly recommend starting with a GMK87 right away. I want you to take note of the price of the barebones one more time. For that price, you'll be getting an 80% keyboard that is gasket mounted, has moderate flex cuts on the PCB, a heck ton of foam and sheets for dampening, a knob (KNOB!?), a small screen that you can switch the contents between the keyboard's status monitor and two other still images or GIFs (the highest framerate it supports has a frame interval of 60ms, which gives you around 16.67 FPS or a factor of 50/3) you can set via a software, supports VIA tool, south-facing LEDs with nice lighting modes, and three connection modes including wired, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth. That is batshit insane.

I was looking for a new board and thank you for this. I did go with the Lemon V3 switches and Womier XVX/ ISA profile keycaps. I also did a 2 layer tape mode on the PCB but man thank you. I love this keyboard, the quality, the silent switches. It is better then any of the prebuild keyboards I used from Ducky, Fnatic, SteelSeries, Roccat, Razer and Cherry which are almost twice the price in my country.
YESSS THANK YOU IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Thanks for including my fav switches ever! Peach Silent V2's are so money
Hipyo! Please do a review of the best keyboards with knobs and/or screens!
Now build the loudest keyboard possible
I've been using this keyboard (tape modded) ($40), Outemu Summer Linear switches (no added lube) ($20), and cheap cherry profile clonekaps ($18) as a daily driver for about 6 months and have been loving it. I probably swapped out the the stabilizers and lubed those up with some cheap kit by Epomaker (sub $10). Nice to see the board discussed on your channel. Also have experience with the Silent Peach and the Silent Cream switches mentioned here. Peach are a little too light for me, so I always come back tot he Silent Cream Yellows on other boards I've put together (all always under $100).
Nice video hipyo its always very interesting to watch ur content
I'm loving the silent peach v2 on the Varmillo Bluebell. Also got some silent peach v3 (same sound profile in an mx housing style), and they are incredible lubed and filmed
It sounds so good !
Neat. I'll have to keep those Outemu silent switches in mind next time I'm looking for stuff. I love me some silent tactile switches.
Holy cow that is a quiet keyboard that is amazing! Well done sir!
Just assembled this board and god, what a sound, it's my first mechanical keyboard, and it sounds beautifuly! Thank you Hipyo for this thing!❤❤
I have some of the Outemu silent tactile limes in a nextime 75. It is my office keyboard (I'm a medical claims processor) and wanted something that wouldn't bother my coworkers. It came out super nice. I ended up using some cheap transparent acrylic keycaps which actually added a little bit of sound and chatter but it was still easily the most quiet board I've ever built and it still feels pretty good. It's more silent than my gatereon silent brown optical numbpad and that's pretty quiet itself.
love how this looks
I've used the silent cream switches for a few years now. They've gone through a few monor revisions. Thry are excellent switches. They use the same molds as the expensive Gazzew switches (U4T for instance).
just ordered the parts. i love the colour of the caps. thx for the vid

Just a question, not really related, are you going to review the wooting 80he when it comes out?
I love your videos hippo thank you for helping me I’ve finally build my custom zoom 65 thanks for your help
I got the Outemu Silent Honey Peaches recently and was surprised by how truly silent they were. Not really sure if I like the feel of the silicone dampeners in linears yet. For quick light presses they feel fine, but for firm hard presses they feel a little unsatisfying. I didn’t really mind the feel of the Akko silent penguin tactiles as the bump helps it feel more meaty. Though the bump on the penguin’s do introduce more noise then the dead silent Honey Peaches.
Thanks for helping me with keyboards
Dude, this sounds amazing, would take a look on the Irok N87, i want to get a cheap hall effect keyboard. Great vídeo, the only thing that is missing on your video is your cat =D
What triple mode 65 or 75% keyboard would you recommend that is cheap but can be modded to make it a decent keyboard over time? This way I can get a decent start and upgrade it as I go?
This is perfectly timed because I ordered a GMK87 a couple of days ago.

There's also the GMK81, which has the screen but no knob, and is a bit smaller. As well as the GMK67-S.
woah $25 off $100 is actually a decent deal - building one of these myself with either the tactile silents or a linear graywood v4. Though the price of the base board went up to $50, two sets of 100 switches (in case I wanna build a 96% like I usually prefer with one later) and these caps (from another vendor, since they're sold out from the linked description) was $90 shipped with tax using that code. nice.
Do you have any advice where to buy keycaps for Realforce R2 PFU Limited Edition? I found just original keycaps for 100 EUR per set, which is crazy.
I wonder if they updated the board, mine has the switches pop off in the uiop and below area when I try to stick them in
What are your thoughts about the Royal Kludge RK S98? It has all the bells and whistles at a budget price and is really decent for a full sized keyboard
Damn, that's real quiet. Now I feel like modding my venerable K8 Pro, just as soon as I get a hold of my senses and my will to mod. 😂
i am planning to buy a keychrone k2 pro (brown switch) keyboard does it worth buying now? plz reply 😍😍
Does anyone know if hot swapping the switches on a keyboard thats unplugged from the PC but still has power (in the battery) and not turned off will damage anything? I can't find a power button or switch anywhere on it.

Ngl that sounds like there's a short somewhere. You might need a new pcb
I have the outemu silent peach ones. It's incredibly silent and delicious to type on.
Do you guys have any recommendations for a good keycap set on amazon
It’s amazing❤
I put the Outemu Silent Peaches in a Keychron K8 pro. I haven't done anything else to it yet but the switch from Gateron Browns to the Outemu Peach was really nice. Initially I was really concerned about the peach tinting the RGB since by comparison it was very pink. But once they're all in as a full set you can still get really nice blues and greens. It's my first ever mechanical keyboard.
Nice, incredibly strong rock climber fingers Hipyo.
Literally my setup (except keycaps) can confirm that keyboard is pretty nice, been using it for abt 6 month now. only issue it sometimes looses its 2.4Ghz connection for no reason and clock on the screen is absolute trash (it drifts a lot and only way to set it to real time is to connect with usb and run image custom tool - app that changes pictures on that screen)
What are the outemu silent tactile switches like compared to kailh prestige silents
i didn't expect that to be THAT QUIET
Any recommendations for a cheapest full sized ISO please?
Hey hipyo, what else do you do, with those extremely strong rock climbing fingers?
I'm considering those silent linears for a Planck build. Can you do a video focusing specifically on similar switches?
I’m very curious about the Epomaker Ajazz AK820 Pro, have you tried that keyboard?
are you gonna try the shortcut studio bridge 75 soon? i want to see how that compares to the nd75 and rainy75
As someone who didnt see the Asus keyboard video, i can say that it's because i didnt want to hear your voice too much and accidentally fall inlove❤

HIPYO PLEASE HELP my mechanical keyboard works for 1 minute then stops. It happened after I took the whole thing apart completely and put it back. I test the PCB, it works and them stops after a minute. However, my alt key, which flashe faster when pressed, doesent work but it still flashes faster or slower when I press it. I beg you for help please.
that's pretty quiet, I wonder how long the 'gel' would last
This made me excited to get a mechanical keyboard. I don't like how loud most keyboards are. I'm just a little sad you didn't show how the keyboard sounded before mods. Because if I'd order the same items, I don't have that foam, so mine would be louder.
HIPYO, STILL WAITING FOR THE AULA F75 VIDEO
What level do you climb at? I have kind of plateaued at 5.10d/5.11a
Nice incredibly strong rock climber fingers, Hipyo what else do you do with those incredibly strong rock climber fingers?
The lucky 65 seems to be interesting!
Nice work :) I've finally managed to make my (nearly) ideal silent keyboard - the Keychron K3 with optical switches, lubed with GPL105 using a syringe (ain't nobody got time for disassembling switches, surely?), the keycaps from a K1 Pro and cheap rubber o-rings from Amazon. Absolutely silent, wonderfully low travel and only six mismatched keycaps, because Keychron hate people who use the One True Layout (ISO).
I'm using the outemu cream yellow (or milk yellow depending on translation) silent tactile since earlier this year, and it was great. I also tried out their linear silent peach but the lack of feedback on both tactility and sound makes them feels really uncomfortable. However, I uses the linear ones for modifier keys like Ctrls and Shifts to reduce strains on my pinky fingers. I uses a regular tactile (Everglide Wild Pansy) for the spacebar because silent switch on spacebar feels really really mushy. The keyboard I'm using is Aula F87, which is damn nice, full RGB, side RGB, and an RGB strip above the arrow keys that can indicate battery level
Hello hipyo i really wanna know if All of the keyboards in your videos is hotswappable
Is there an ISO alternative to the GMK87?
We need a rock climbing collab with Hippyo, Scrapman and Magnus Midtbø!
Bro the switching scene music got me💀
Nice build
Can u pls build a budget full size keyboard
Ok, I must say it's the first time I really consider building almost exactly the same keyboard you did. I was after a non-aluminium wireless keyboard and landed with RK84 which is in my opinion very good value, but I really wish I've seen this video earlier, because I don't think RK is as good value as this (via? KNOB??? 🥴), but here we are...
In order not to anger my workmates, I recently changed my office keeb switches for the Peaches. And man these are SILENT. I think I don't like the mushyness that much, I prefer my Kailh Deep Sea), but they are definitely really good switches given the price.
I daily drive the gmk87 with kang white switches and pbt caps. Works well
nice incredibly strong rock climber fingers
So that's a real budget custom Keyboard! Wp sir
Aside from showing off your impressive finger strength, how was it to type on???

the zoom 65 is pretty solid, personally i'd consider the qk65 or neo65, but they are all solid keyboards
To remove killmat and other sound deadener car builders tend to use dry ice to hard it and break it off in frozen pieces, probably doesn't work well for keyboards but FYI.
Genuine question: official Hipyo ISO keyboard recommendation video when?
Imagine they pit the knob on a 3 axis Dpad Still turn it for volume, but now you could press in for play/pause, left right for next/previous, and then up/down could be contextual, or like on my car, next/previous folder.
I'm confused, the insides of this keyboard are different on this video then they are on the KapCo website. This site is also selling this keyboard and was doing a little research and it says theres a layer of sponge and poron cotton under the pcb but the video shows a silicon layer and looks like its missing a pe film layer that is shown on the KapCo website
I had to return that exact GMK87 base a few weeks ago because it randomly shut off and did not want to wake up again. Might give that Lucky65 a try although I like 87key boards more...
Holy hell that sound test.
I would call the sound of this as: "PHWOCK"
