I've had my P1S+AMS from the sale for about a week now and I absolutely LOVE the thing! I also really dig your roll storage below the tools, going to steel that.
Got the A1 mini as my first 3D printer 2 weeks ago, it’s been a joy and pleasure with no issues and fun to learn basic CAD Highly recommended and thanks for the great video

Ah amazing!! I agree the mini is great, we’ve got X1 carbons but there’s something about the mini that I just love!! Thanks for watching the vid! 😃
I was thinking wheels too! Awesome work. I recently got an A1 with AMS and I love it so much. It's basically always printing now, when I'd pretty much only printed a handful of things in the first half of this year! Also got a load of filament in the sale 👀 I'm sure this took ages to make, but it's still worth it. Super fun, engaging and entertaining video! I look forward to the next one!

That's awesome! I'd like to see you design a setup for the Mini just how you already have done except with some form of noise reduction so I can print wherever and not worry about receiving a noise complaint.

I’m 100% going to take advantage of the sale, but I’m in the fence about whether I should get an a1 mini or a normal a1 (without ams in both cases). Should I save money and get the mini or go for the larger build volume?
@playconveyor

If space and budget don’t play a factor, I’d personally always get a bigger build volume just in case you need it one day! 😃 We haven’t unboxed our A1 yet but I’ve heard it’s just as good as the mini!

Quick LIFEHACK for all who tries to recreate something similar. Just use a CUTTING MAT under all objects/tools while you're taking photos. All cutting mats already have some scale (metric or non-metric) so when you'll import images to your CAD you already will have scale _and_ a reference
That's amasing, but you could put a Plade on top of the Box so you can use it as a Table.

I'm going to be buying the Bambu Lab A1 + AMS Lite when I get a chance
Thank you for another very informative and entertaining video from you. I find your workflow for creating the negatives in Fusion 360 which you showed between 2:41 - 3:02 extremely interesting, especially 2:51 when you "simply" traced the photo + scale reference in Fusion 360. Could you make a separate video / tutorial about this exact workflow?
Hi, I’m about to make use of the bambu sale and was given the impression from their faqs that you couldn’t have the a1 in an enclosure- which forces me to the P1. Is your understanding different? I can’t have a printer not enclosed, similar ocd issues! 😂 and due to upgrade from my 2016 qidi!
6:17 *'for the first time in my life it was an inch too big'* 💀
Bambulab does not recommend that the printer be boxed, because the electronics may overheat due to insufficient ventilation.

The ventilation fan will keep it cool enough

The fan should give plenty of circulation/ventilation inside and the printer will only be used for our quick prototype prints so will stay relatively normal temperatures. Thanks for watching 😀

How do you clean your printing bed
Looks like a P1S or your X1C would fit in the bottom as well, if you were concerned about fumes why not use an enclosed printer as well as the filtration?

Instead of doing complicated math to size your canvas, you can calibrate the canvas and pick two points to add a length in. It’ll then calibrate the size for you

what is the stl for the allan key handles?
so this other 3d printer guy use a scanner instead oh photos, ruler and the thing just plop it on, almost perfect 2 d flat scan of dimensions i was mind blown
Might try this but with a p1s a bookshelf thing like from ceiling to floor so not visible
Can you link the drawer you used? I think a setup just like the one you made would be perfect for me!
Loved the video but I had a question, is the Bambu lab mini the best for starters or would you recommend a different one for starters. Also you deserve way more subs/viewers😁
@playconveyor

Thanks so much! We’ve tried a lot of ‘beginner’ printers and the A1 mini is easily our favourite. You get all the Bambu quality for less than £170, which is crazy! So long as the build volume is big enough for you, if not the A1 is the next size up but still has all the features!

What fumes you worried about with PLA? Lol
@chadvoller
3 күн бұрын
Some additives for certain PLA is not the best to breath in. But, is no one questioning where the house vent goes? He could be pushing the fumes to the rest of the house, and not outside. That almost looks like a cold air intake that will just go to the forced air and cycle back everywhere. Unless their systems are constantly cycling indoor and outdoor air.
I would have used Gridfinity for the Drawer.

Hi
6:22 You measured the top of the table, rather than the bottom. So you didn't account for the thickness of the table. My guess is you took half an inch off thinking "That should give me ½ of clearance."
230 £ = 230 £
The portable printer setup reminds me of unnecessary inventions
Just as an FYI: You don't want to seal the box that the printer's in. Without incoming air, there won't be any air movement, no matter how much the fan is trying to suck air from the cabinet. Also, I got a P1S relatively recently. Love the quality and speed, but it's definitely not a quiet printer.
