I Built a Perfectly Square Maze to Troll my Friends!

Ойындар

Hey everyone back again with more Scrap Mechanic! Today we are competing in a maze building challenge where we each have to build a maze to confuse our friends! In this video I'm going to build a simple maze that seems really easy to complete but actually is super difficult to figure out!

    @@NSarg04 Just use rotating walls using the controller, since it's very quiet, and trigger the furthest one away. Then have the sensors above the player, since generally people don't notice things above them. Probably have it in a recessed area, and have a pattern between recessed 1, and regular roof to make it harder to notice the sensors. Even if they discover it, it still makes it harder due to more potential paths overall.

    I once made a Minecraft maze that was near impossible; it was multi floored, made of black concrete(no lights or markers), it had holes in the floor which would make you fall into a pit or to the lower maze, and many paths led to a false exit with an “infinite” corridor loop. But I never have thought of using redstone logic..

  • @Sinora

    @Sinora

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@grimmstudios4041 you follow one wall it doesnt matter which you start left or right eventually youll cover the entire maze wall until you get to the exit its just a strategy to keep you from getting turned around or lost. You get stuck at a turn you just folow the wall there's no situation that would get you stuck even in a complete dead end because you would end up going out the door you came in but following the wall on the other side..

  • @arstulex

    @arstulex

    2 жыл бұрын

    That strategy will fail if the exit/goal is somewhere in the middle of the maze and in some sort of 'island' (where it is entirely disconnected from the outer walls). In that case, you will never reach the exit/goal by simply following a single wall. You will just go in a loop and end up back at the beginning without entering the 'island' part.

    Like I said in Scrapmans Video, I'm not sure I like how it was scored. Sure, Scrapman beat the mazes first but you and Moonbo made, arguably, better mazes. It would be nice if design as well as performance was taken into account. Maybe the longer it takes your opponents to get through the maze the higher the score.

    SETUP: 2 puzzles (Not identical) & the "trick" is they have to communicate to activate something for the OTHER person to progress. (moving platform to make a jump, hidden door opened, grabbing / spawning something & bring it back, ect.) THE CHALLENGE: Person A & B can't see what the other is doing. EXAMPLE: Person A gets a queue (audio or light), while person B can now move to / reach a new location / use spawned thing, ect. SOLUTION: Have them help each other 2-3 times each to escape.

    suggestion: you build cars, every 5 minutes you rotate and continue building someone elses car. after 15 minutes you have 3 cars that each of you built a part of. you draw who gets which car to keep it unpredictable and race each other. you need to figure out what the other people built while building yourself as well as driving and whether you want to troll or rather try to make it a somewhat functional vehicle. have a nice day and thanks for the fun

    what you could have done is set the logic differently on either 4 or 8 seperate versions in a square, each having a different combos to exit it and on one of them set with 2 combos with the 1st to got to entrance one so they have to start over again and the 2nd to exit the maze but again having a time limit to get out using that exit so they had to figure out the combos for each door and remember them if they ended up looping back to the start.

    It would have been great to have a maze that was like the first one, except with a _fake_ starting door that is also red, which you need to go through to get to the other half of the maze that gets to the green door. As a kid I paid money (or a ticket, same thing) to do a maze _kind of_ like that, except instead the gimmick was that the entrance was literally the exit; or rather right next to it and the guy just stands blocking it when you first go in :( I didn't like that.
