I Built A Complex Maze That Has One SIMPLE SECRET They Don't Know

Ойындар

Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic Multiplayer Monday! Today we are building mazes for each other! 2 people will race through the other person's maze, and whoever finishes the maze first gets a point! Whoever can get the most points after escaping everyone else's maze is the winner!

This was quite amusing and very creative from all of you! Making mazes is quite a challenge and I love that you each did a unique variation. Idea for the future: I don't know if it is possible with Scrap Mechanic, but it would be neat if you could each make a type of man cannon, then you have to launch the other people to try to get closest to a target. The flyers can move until they hit the ground so they want to mess up the shot if they can. Another idea: 3 vastly different tasks, for example, one to launch an object, one to carry an awkward object and one to navigate an obstacle course. You each build a vehicle to specialize one of the tasks and then everyone has to use that vehicle for its intended task. To make it more interesting you could skip the show and tell part so everyone has to figure out the vehicles on the fly. Another other idea: Make a relatively flat and calm race track but have it blocked by walls with oddly shaped holes in them. You have to design a vehicle that can contort itself to fit through all of the different holes while still being stable enough to drive.

Thre's a foolproof way of solving simple connected mazes: The right-hand rule (or left hand if you choose). ALWAYS stick to the right or left wall, which one you do is totally preference. It will lead you to the end in a normal simple connected maze. I think of it this way: ALWAYS either take the most left or right turn at every junction. You might go through the whole maze, you might not, depending on the design. The thing is, you will never reach any spot twice from when you started and you can even start from anywhere in the maze. How a-mazing that is right? This works because a normal maze, which in this case is a maze where all walls are connected to the outer walls. This can be interpreted like a single string that is all tangled up and that following the rope from one end to the other will eventually lead to the other end or the start if it's a circle. That said, a maze with multiple unconnected walls is much harder, because those can't be "hacked" with the right-hand rule. That is, if you'd start on a random place it wouldn't. If you start at the entrance of the maze, no matter what type of maze you have, as long as it's not a moving maze like Scrapman's maze, then it will lead to the start. Not always will this lead to the exit, because you might go in circles around the perimeter while the exit is in the middle or somewhere else. You can always give it a try from the start on. It won't get you lost in the maze but remember to not rely on it too much because it might not always lead definitely to the exit.

@Jon - caveat to the right hand (or left hand) rule - if the maze has multiple floors, or if the walls of the maze are not static, then following the wall will not necessarily work. You alluded to it already, just wanted to make sure people saw that it doesn't always work.

9:27 every single time he gord through the tunnel he goes left here, never right. Theres a trick to most mazes - if you follow one side (say right) and basically put your hand on the wall you will always find the exit. The only time this doesn't work is if the exit is in a center island. He was pretty much doing that until here, then he went left and skipped that right hand passage.

Scrapman's moving parts, but at same time just a straight way to finish was crazy and cool! kAN's puzzle was fun to watch, especially that at least Scrapman figured it out by himself, so it was not impossible! :D ... think if you guys do such Maze on MM, the mix of Ideas can lead to really cool Mazes! :)

Each round you earn points based on your place: 1st - 3 points, 2nd - 2 points, 3th - 1 point. The creator of the winning vehicle gets an additional point. Most points after all rounds wins.

Moonbo's maze was actually a really good and confusing maze. ScrapMan's was tricky, though a bit hard to tell from the view. Kan's was an interesting puzzle. If you all combined your mazes, it would probably take days for someone to get out. The size and confusion of Moonbo's, ScrapMan's moving walls, and Kan's sensor puzzles. Instead of just automatically moving walls, it would also be by sensor, and not just four walls like a swivel door, but one wall that shifts from one side to the other. Sometimes the moving wall is small. The concept becomes near-impossible if we give it layers. Even just a two-story tall maze would be difficult. Perhaps do a second one in the future, except give each other a whole week, even just a day, to build their maze.

More maze challenges with more seriously crazy things like this. LOL!!! I was expecting Scrap to make a Logic Door that waits ten seconds for the runner to get far enough away and it closes so when they come back down the corridor it's a dead end instead of an open door, maybe even more walls that slide in place instead of rotating. Maybe a 2 floor maze where they have a secret floor panel sending them back to the beginning. Perhaps design something that they have to work together to get through which ends with them getting split apart and having to still work together only to end up racing each other to get out afterwards. I KNOW... COMPLICATED.

You have to make vehicles, that do very unexpected things, it could be appearance of a car bunt actually fly, etc. just anything that isn’t what you would expect, and you have to race them against each other. And the race could be very loose in rules so you can hit each other with hammers or something off of the track or similar. You can’t make a plane that can skip half the course but a hovercraft could go by.

You should do the same principle as the trailer one, but with forklifts to organize a warehouse. There'd be 3 objectives, for example could be 1# to pick up cows and bring to a pen, 2# sort different colored/looking boxes to move them to their corresponding room, and 3# mark a point per basketball hoop, and have like 3/4 of them (I believe that's what you're supposed to do in a wharehouse right ?) To do those objectives, you'd have to use the forklifts, everyone is given all 3 forklifts made and they can use each one of them for only one of the objectives, but they can choose which one for which objective and do them in any order. The goal could either be to be done as fast as you can ; or to count points for each thing done within a limited time (so each cow could give 2 pt, each box sorted is 1 pt and each hoop is like 4 pt for example), the one with the most points wins. Tie-breaker is a knock-out of a ring using their own forklift

It would be cool if you could limit the space of these mazes, or create a minimum, or maybe even a different way to exit them. Limiting it to like, 10x10x10 so you had to really think about all the space that you use up Or create something truly massive by making something with a minimum of 50x50? Or even make one that you exit through the middle, or you start from the middle Another possibility is to make it vertical, some simple parkour to get through it. I'd be happy if you would just make a video like this again, this was really fun.

When you need to reach certain dead end in the puzzle, as it would open/close a door to a second section to the puzzle with another secret door to the original exit. Maybe a sound when a door change state, or maybe some symbols like right and left arrow everywhere, but UP arrow on the secret door and on the dead end that trigger it.. just to give a hint

hey scrapman these ideas aren't really for mm stuff but you don't have a section where you can just suggest specific video ideas just creations and mm so im just putting these here and the mm section on your server so yeah heres my ideas i hope you can do at least one of them. so idea #1 can you bring back some of the old multiplayer things you used to do with kan like "we searched :example here: or maybe some more ydib cuz you don't have that many vids on that. idea #2 maybe have some multiplayer vids with more than just you and kan but on other days like maybe more frequently. idea #3 maybe try doing some things you've done in scrap mechanic but in trailmakers cuz that seems cool. one last idea maybe bring back trailmakers multiplayer cuz you kinda just stopped doing that entirely and i would like to see it come back. so there's all the ideas i could come up with for now but im sure i have a few more floating around in my brain somewhere so when i think of some more i'll put them in your most recent vid and in the same server section i did with this one.

Scrapman, I got an idea. Make a beyblade and surround it with magnets facing outwards and use thrusters to rotate it. Use a swivel to cancel out the beys rotation and place another swivel on top of it and place some thrusters to use for changing directions (in instruments of destruction)

idea: each makes their own vehicle and others has to sabotage each others vehicle without others to notice. if they notice it, they can remove it ( example: replacing corner blocks with heavier blocks )

Y’all should with the trailmakers zero g mod have Scrapman, Kan, Kosmo, and Moonbo, and have teams of 2, one driver and one gunner and try to defeat the other team with the one that they built.

btw Scrapman, in Moonbo's maze I kept telling you in my mind to go in a specific hallway that you never went in on any of the clips and then you do go in it and its the way out.

It's cool how you call them your friends now. I remember in one of the 'searching myself' videos when you came across a description that said "for scrapman and his friends" You replied saying you don't have any friends. I know that was sarcastic but still though.

Damn, it would be fantastic if the rotating walls only rotated when the person wasn’t near them or looking at them. Then you could also not have a cross, but a three way, so it was occasionally straight or something.

Create a shooting range for each other? Not exactly a challenge, but I suppose it could be done that way, just might be a lot to do in the time constraint.

I saw that Scrap man kept avoiding a corner and going left, and it was indeed him falling for the loop. He was going through the door of the two further from the exit then through the one closest to the exit.
