I don't think that's right, I think that only applies to iron golems outside villages. A golem's loyalty belongs to the village first and foremost.

I love how Joel just casually does 3 large projects in the span of less than 200 in game days that would take me about 200 real life days. The commitment is insane!

I feel like it'd be quite nice if whilst you're collecting materials you talk about why you chose the block palette and about textures etc. You're such a great builder its a shame not to hear more about your creative process! I love seeing even just the wool layouts. The castle and terrain looks fab! :D

this hardcore series is so cool, the buildings in so many different styles always impresses me

You didn't have to build the portals that far apart. You just had to link them properly (match the coordinates of the overworld decided by 8).. 😂

When they are that close together in the overworld and you want drastically different Y heights (the nether roof vs the nether), it’s not just “divide by 8”. I agree they probably could have been a little closer, but without moving the under-nether-roof portal and making one of the overworld portals slightly higher, he would have struggled to get much closer.

Apparently you can't just divide by 8 either. I made a portal on my village divided the coordinates by 8 and ended up in a cave near the Deepslate layer about 200-odd blocks away. 😑

@@timwoods2852 you must have done something wrong. It workes, I have done it so many times for building portal based Farms and nether hubs, either you miscalculated or one of the portals wasn't lit.

@@sepplschpeedruns281 It could just be my chronic bad luck with numbers in Minecraft. I have trouble getting things like Wither Skeleton skulls and Tridents even with Looting III. So, the game probably just wanted to keep my odds consistent.

I cannot voice how much joy the scene near the end regarding the pandas provides me. I cannot describe how much I had wanted him to do exactly this since I first saw the insane number of pandas in the enclosure. Bravo bravo.

Tip: if you smelt netherrack you get a nether brick and if you put 4 nether bricks in a crafting table you can get a netherbrick block

You did so much this episode! A raid farm, a bunch of other farms, a huge build, panda slaughter, please make sure you take plenty of breaks when working on stuff like this!! We appreciate the videos and enjoy them a lot but don't push yourself too hard.

Slap a comparator and a repeater off of the dispenser for the sugar cane farm with some pistons to pull the observer clock to stop the constant clicking

The new nether roof portal reminds me of the portal gate from Treasure Planet which is awesome :D
