Congratulations on a great fish! Very little translation is needed when catching trophies like that, because it has it's own universal language. You should have measured because the world record is 130 cm (51 in) and 33 kg (73 lb). But I understand the health of that beast is more important. Again, congrats my friend for catching the phantom "red eye."

Wow that fish at the beginning of day 2 was something. I wonder how many times I thought I was hung up after originally feeling a bite, but snapped the line bcuz it felt like a snag, much like the beginning of that fight u had. Altho where I fish in Pennsylvania we don't have trout quite as big as that fish u caught. Much respect to the maker of the pole u were using and the strength of the line. Many times I thought it would break off. U amazingly pulled it off. Great job. My only other comparison would've been on a good sized largemouth bass (in my area) I caught using a fly fishing set up. That one I caught was only a bit over 3 pounds and 20 + inches. Still I wouldn't grab it by the lip as I tried he'd shake and dive back down until I finally popped my fly from his jaw. Again, great job catching that monster fish.
