Hell of a job guys. Thanks for the video. This is a theme that pro scooter manufacturers should be striving for. I enjoy some suspension myself, but the most important thing that manufactures miss is the size of the wheels. LOSE those tiny wheels. Just lose them. These are not a kids kick scooter. If you're going to build a scooter that runs at high speeds, you need stability. Bicycles and motorcycles have better stability because they have much larger, heavier wheels. This allows a tremendous amount of centrifugal force to be built up, stabilizing the machine. Lose those 10 and 11 inch wheels and go for at least 15 inch or so. You guys did a hell of a job here. Thank you again for the video.

This was incredible to watch and I love all of your videos, but as soon as you pulled out the first battery and showed it was from Amazon, I was almost certain there was going to be a fire. I'm an engineer and do a ton of work with electric vehicles and you basically have two options for lithium batteries for large custom projects: put a ton of hours into learning how to build them yourself using quality cells and components, or shell out the extra cash and get something custom made like you did in the end. Anything else is a gamble, especially Chinese packs from Amazon. You blamed the issue on the motor controller, and technically proper settings on the motor controller COULD have prevented the battery pack from exploding, but so should the pack itself. The listing on Amazon clearly states that the pack has a BMS Board, something that would have prevented a (presumably) over-discharge related fire. In this case though, it clearly failed. Sorry if this is seen as unsolicited advice, you're crazy smart but I'd hate to see you waste more money on videos through mistakes like this.

Relative to their cost? Suspension, water proofing, better controllers, user controls, dual in-wheel motors that can handle the load/heat and shipping.
crazy how far we advanced and this isnt even the craziest tech yet
this is sick! You guys are smart to build this fast thingy!
Can we just appreciate the time and effort Chay puts into his videos. It's truly amazing.
Good video!
Amazing DIY 65 Miles/Hr. Scooter !!! Great work !
Glad you continued the build! That was awesome
60 mph in a self built scooter. No helmet. Guy's applying for a Darwin award pretty hard. 😂😂😂

Some great lessons in proper planning here. All issues were foreseeable
I wonder what the total cost was.

Hi
The Dude Scooter. The creators are too broke to even buy another battery. Needed 2 months of hard work at McDonald's to get the dow. Yeah...American dude ingenuity at it's best...dude. Next you guys should build a Dude Rocket and go for the Moon mission! Then you can keep saying "dude" while weightless!
I am loving it!
I would love to build something like this trully amazing great video man
Facts in video major cap. 0% chance you get like 60 miles of range let alone 100. And also 0% chance you hit 60 mph with only 5kw, didnt show pics, didnt happen.

You guys are amazing ! Keep this up. Best of luck
Where's the ironman suite, mark I, come on, out with it! lol We know you guys build it with a box of scraps!
Chay you did good the fact you put that much effort is amazing 👏 😊
Amazing I expected every failure and they all happened 😂 but you're perseverance kept you going well done.
bro made a new Mario kart vehicle, and it looks great.
Inspirational as he'll great shit guys
Of all the mechanical creators I watch. Tom Stanton, Peter Sripol etc this one definitely has the best sound track.
U guys are nuts & I like it,I have a e- unicycle & just bought 2 more e- boards ,had a scooter & motor went on 1st ride ,they tried fixin it BUT I sent it back
I'd love to see this turned into a recumbent MONSTER! Recumbants are way more aerodynamic, I could see you getting significantly more out of that little motor. Cool build.
My heart sunk when i saw the battery smoking. I always wanted to attempt these types of projects but can't afford 2 batteries if something goes wrong. Awesome build! Suspension next?

That frame bend at 2:20 was on point! 😀
Great as always, keep up the good work!👍
Where did you manage to find the heat sink for that? I am doing something similar and I saw a lot of people have the same problem with the motor.
love the quote on the wall, your content is much more unique and engaging than similar content on youtube and i wish you well in your journey
Idk how confident i would be riding that contraption 😂😂 those welds look like they are barely holding
From skateboard to scooter, They are *this* close to making an actual motorcycle 😂❤

So on my electric scooter my 0-30 is 3 seconds in low traction. My 0 -45 is 4.8. The fastest I been is 53 and that's never been past 30% power
Love the vid what a great effort from you both. Great channel to by the way.
lol the too old timers paused in frame have got to be thinking WTF??😂😂 9:33
Quite sure if you had less air drag that scooter would go even faster. Wonderful build :)
Great video!!
Excellent way to re purpose /make better
i've wondered, for the hyper scooters, why they havent made an all carbon fiber one yet, that has some aero in the front you can kind of crouch behind to gain more speed from!
